Bharatiyaa_ larki Artto Bharatiyaa_ larki I'm not saying not to express your opinions, but be mindful of other people's feelings.. it's called respect I can't respect something that I think is stupid. And I don't think anyone could/should respect something that they find stupid. Politely shutting up hinders debate and criticism, even if the criticism is in form of ridicule. And I don't mind anyone making fun of me or my beliefs. The whole issue here is the reaction we got from the muslim world, when those famous caricatures were published. And the constant threats some muslims make when people don't follow their rules. Do you see any Jews rioting because people eat shellfish? It's the same ******** thing. It's not the same, because shellfish is not their prophet.. it's just a food.. and it's not that you can't respect Islam.. you don't want to respect Islam. You think I'm stupid? You just don't want to accept something that is different. I think Christianity is stupid, but I don't go around bashing the religion, because I understand the fact that it's still something that people believe in. I respect the religion. So, you bringing up the face that Jews aren't rioting because people are eating shellfish is NOT the same thing at all.
For me, I think religion is stupid but that doesn't mean the followers are stupid. It's just my belief.
As for pictures, I feel I could do as I like if I feel like it.
Why? Because I'm not doing it to offend anyone, but because I want to. If I eat ostrich meat and someone says that is against their beliefs and they are offended, will I stop? No, I will continue eating it because I WANT to eat that meat. My beliefs no-where state I should not eat it.
Besides, drawing Muhammad may be considered evil in a Islamic belief, but only the drawer is punished, correct?
Than showing images should not offend anyone.
Also, the part about the shellfish, it IS the same thing because it relates to Dos/Don'ts. Just because it doesn't have some divine label doesn't make it different in a case like this.
Both eating pork or drawing Muhammad in Islamic beliefs are suppose to be bad, so why is one more serious than another?

That's just wrong, and enough is enough... you may not be doing it to hurt us.. but what you are doing IS hurting us. We tried to tell you guys in a nice, and orderly fashion, and just more and more pictures come that are worst than before. Now, tell me that those people aren't doing it to be jerks. Not freedom of speech at all. Freedom of speech is when you see something being done, and you have the freedom to say something about it.. which I am. I mean did you SEE the pictures? Highly offensive, and in fact they know that it's offensive it's not a matter of freedom of speech at all. It's all in defense of some french jewish guy..

I know I can't compare to God, but that's not the point-the point for me is to try to make something that is beautiful and expresses something about me. The rule applies whether I'm drawing a portrait or writing a poem or a story. To me, outlawing drawing an animal or human is like saying you can't sing a song about a person, or write an autobiography. I understand it's where your religion is coming from, but I am gonna say it seems stupid to me. I mean, Islam has roots in Judaism, right? Well, in Exodus God has them craft an Ark with angels on top of it. I really doubt He has a problem with lifeforms being depicted in art, so long as they don't become an idol like the Golden Calf. I too am an artist, but I don't draw pictures of people or animals. And yes, Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are similar, but they are also very different. You know what, I don't care ... If you want to continue to draw pictures of animals and humans go ahead. Who am I to tell you what to do, we are both only human. I'll leave the judging to Allah. I know they're very different, but something should carry through. You can't say you worship the same God when nothing in the religion stays the same. WHY is not eating pork offensive but drawing Muhammad?
The problem is how you take what other people do, and why you seriously care so much about it. People have been drawing Muhammad alot because of the whole South Park thing with the extremists. It's aiming for the Muslim EXTREMIST group. If me eating pork doesn't offend you, than so should drawing your prophet for a cause or for art style practice.
AND again, why SHOULD it offend you? It's not suppose to be offensive but bad to do, so why get annoyed at other people when you could just not care?

I would really like to know why a form of art is considered disrespectful to the Islam religion. If I draw him, Muslims would be offended, yes. But WHY exactly? Why is it only that and why should it anyway? I would like to know.

I mean it's common sense..

I would really like to know why a form of art is considered disrespectful to the Islam religion. If I draw him, Muslims would be offended, yes. But WHY exactly? Why is it only that and why should it anyway? I would like to know.omg.. read my previous post.. the super long one..

However, when you draw obscene pictures of our Prophet(pbuh).. that's going way to far. I think that the problem is that first, you wanna call us terrorist, then we constantly get bashed by the media, and now you wanna make fun of our prophet? That's just wrong, and enough is enough... you may not be doing it to hurt us.. but what you are doing IS hurting us. We tried to tell you guys in a nice, and orderly fashion, and just more and more pictures come that are worst than before. Now, tell me that those people aren't doing it to be jerks. Not freedom of speech at all. Freedom of speech is when you see something being done, and you have the freedom to say something about it.. which I am. I mean did you SEE the pictures? Highly offensive, and in fact they know that it's offensive it's not a matter of freedom of speech at all. It's all in defense of some french jewish guy..
The point isn't what you take to offense about, but why.
WHY is not eating pork offensive but drawing Muhammad?
The problem is how you take what other people do, and why you seriously care so much about it. People have been drawing Muhammad alot because of the whole South Park thing with the extremists. It's aiming for the Muslim EXTREMIST group. If me eating pork doesn't offend you, than so should drawing your prophet for a cause or for art style practice.
AND again, why SHOULD it offend you? It's not suppose to be offensive but bad to do, so why get annoyed at other people when you could just not care?I'm tired of trying to explain to you people.. I wouldn't expect you to understand anyway...
Know that Muhammad ISN'T my prophet at all.
Besides, it isn't just Islam I'm not on the same terms on, it's just this case is big.
Now my point is, why is it offensive to others on what I do?
Why should anyone, Extremists and Muslims alike, care on exactly what I do?

Well, actually, I don't see why the big deal is about making fun of someone is. The problem is that EVERYONE makes fun of someone, but a problem only emerges when a large deal is made about it.
Like when a famous film director was killed because he wanted to make a movie about the women in the Middle East, shot dead by a Muslim Extremist group. My point is how something could offend someone could be much different from what they intend. Case in point, drawing Muhammad.
