Yami all but screamed happily and launched her self at him and hugged him happily. "Oh that sounds like fun! And i don't have to worry about being cold any more or other cats attacking me while i sleep! Or rain, i almost got washed out when it rained last!" she said as she let go of him and got on her feet on the ground. "This is going to be fun! I'm going to learn and have a friend now! And be part of something!" she said happily as she hugged Deu again and smiled. She jumped back into her chair and smiled. "Whats welding? And how does it work? I don't think i wanna do that for a while though cause you said its dangerous. So i'll wait a while..." She looked around and smiled. "I'll start by cleaning for you. The things and around here to get used to where it all is and how it works and goes. As i learn i'll start trying stuff. Is that ok?" she asked with a smile. She felt all happy and warm inside at being accepted and allowed into something as amazing as Deu's life. She hugged her tail to her self, even though she wanted to just hug Deu some more. Though she was sure the two hugs was enough for the poor man.

Ahh! Screaming girl! Wait. Good screaming? Okay, that was okay then. His muscles had tensed at the initial scream and launch at him. Deu took a short moment to sort of let the rush of getting throttled by an excited girl sink in to give a bit of a laugh and returned the hug. "That's right. No worries about being cold or rained out or aggressive cats anymore." There was a bit of a crooked grin on his face as if he was still trying to process the hug. "Yep. It'll be something good and new for the both of us." His ears drooped lower at the second hug and he chuckled, placing a hand on her head to lightly ruffle her hair. The tom smiled. "Welding is when you join two metals by applying heat and sometimes pressure with an intermediate or filler metal with a high melting point. Welding can wait. There is plenty of other stuff we can get started with. Cleaning would be useful, but we can do that together. I don't want to make you feel as if you're my maid or anything like that. I wouldn't stand for that. We can start small and work our way to bigger, more advanced things, just you wait. I bet you'll be working up on my level in no time flat."

Yami giggles at him as she hides behind her tail. "Oh i don't think i'll ever be better then you are. I don't want to be better then you...Maybe with cleaning and i want to learn to paint your things, but i don't want to build things better then you." she said with a smile as she blushed a little. "And...maybe i'll not learn to weld. It sounds like heat is involved and i'm not too keen on the fire at all..." she said with a smirk as she watched him. She was sure she had freaked him out with the hug and wanted to keep her distance now and make sure he was happy. "Sorry...about freaking out on you like that by the way." she said softly with a smirk.

Deucalion slipped his hands into his pockets at her words, flashing a crooked smile and grinning almost boyishly. "Well, we can make up a team then. That way what one lacks, the other can make up for. There won't be anything we can't do once we get going." Giving a short laugh, the tom nodded. "That's okay. I can do the welding. I'm not a fan of fire, but sometimes I need to weld. I'm cautious with it, respectful. I know the damage it can do and behave accordingly. It'll be nice to have a spotter though. Just in case something does go terribly wrong. One can never be too careful." He bobbed his head again before freeing a hand and waving it through the air dismissively. "Nah. No worries. I just don't get accosted by excited women, so it's not something I'm used to. I'll be okay. I settle quickly." As if to cement his statement, he rolled his shoulders loosely before giving another grin. "Do you have anything that you'd like to bring here from your place? I imagine I can either find another hammock or just make one. They aren't too hard to whip together. We'll just have to find the materials. Until then, you're welcome to sleep in mine. I can make do on my work table."

Yami smiled and nodded as she laughed again. "That sounds like a good plan Deu. I cant wait to get started. And yes i think there are a few things i need from there. I have a large blanket in that hole i can sleep curled into that on the floor, i tried a hammock on the boat on the way over and it killed my back. So the floor is perfect for me thanks any ways. And i would feel horrible kicking my master out of his bed." She said with a smile as she swished her tail. "Your not used to women? So have you not had any girls who liked you or anything?" she asked with a small blush as she played with a screw she had found on the table.

"We can go get them whenever you're ready to then. I'll lend a hand." He blinked looking appalled. "Oh, no. I couldn't have you sleep on the floor. What sort of man would I be if I let a lady sleep on the floor?" Deu tugged the hem of his vest to smooth it down. I suppose I could make a bed that would be suitable. That would be ideal, I think." He gave a little nod. Somewhere in the back of his head, there was a little thought of her simply sleeping on top of him in the hammock, that way she wouldn't have to worry about her back bothering her and he was used to sleeping in a hammock so it wouldn't be an issue with him. The tom blinked as Yami's words shook him from his thoughts' short foray from the topic at hand. Deu cleared his throat and absently fiddled with his gear necklace. "Er, well, uh, not that I...I keep myself pretty busy. Um, I haven't, er, really noticed..." He scratched the base of his skull under his ponytail. "I-I wouldn't...No?" Deucalion gave a bit of a sheepish grin.

Yami smiled and nodded. "Ok that sounds good to me." she said as she looked up at the ceiling. "So how do we get out to get the stuff?" She asked as she stood on the table and wondered if she could jump that high. "Well don't worry i'll help you with it if you like. No one needs to be alone." She said with a bright smile as she smoothed out her outfit and blinks as she felt jealousy stir in her but forced herself to push it out of though. "Do you have anyone you've seen who you want to know better like that?" she asked again fighting anger back.

"The same way we can in. I can give you a boost if you need one." Deu had grown to be rather tall from his kittenhood. "Or we can take the window, but we'd have to climb over a cabinet." He angled a thumb over towards a small, dirty rectangular window that was just barely over the level of the cement alleyway outside. "Help is always appreciated and you can help with the design." Deu blinked at her question, an ear flicking slightly. "No. I haven't really dated, if ever. I never really bothered. I just sort of figured that when the right girl for me comes, she'll definitely make waves. Or that it'll be like getting struck with lightning or an epiphany. Sudden realization of great truth! She's the one for me!" He nodded with certainty, before angling his head reflectively and closed his eyes. "I do get out and socialize, but I just seem to get caught up with my work and things fall by the wayside. When a girl, my girl snags my heart, I'll be sure to give her the time and attention she needs and deserves." He reopened his bright green eyes with a small, thoughtful smile. "Am I making sense or am I just sounding like an old fool?"

Yami smiled happily at him and wondered who might be good for him. Me of course something said in her head and she laughed out loud to her self and then blushed cause she laughed when nothing funny had been said. "Oh um nothing..." she said with a giggle as she flipped her hair back and looked at the vent. "I think this is better then the window, i don't really want to get that dirty. And i think i might need a hand. Let me try." She said as she crouched down and then leaped up to the vent. She grabbed the lip of it and hung there by her hands. "Umm...yeah i'll need a hand into it please...i cant pull myself up and i don't want to drop down and break anything...Please." she said looking at him with a nervous giggle.

Deucalion's brows rose a degree higher on his forehead as Yami laughed out loud. "I take that as a no?" He chuckled and shook his head. "You're right. No matter." His gaze followed hers to the vent and he bobbed his head in agreement. The tom took a small step back so she could have plenty of room to try and jump for the vent. He chuckled and gave a wave of his hand. "You'll get it in no time. Or I can get a ladder or something." He moved closer, lowering himself to wrap his arms around her knees and thighs and straightened up to his full height, using one of his forearms as extra support for her feet. "Is this better?"

Yami smiled as she pulled her self up. She turned around in the vent and looked at him. "Oh no you made sense, i just thought about something funny that wasn't important." She said turning a soft shade of red as she looked at him. "I'll move back a little ways so you can get in. Meet you up here." she said with a smile as she turn around again and climbed further into the vent. She had to keep telling her self that he was older then her and her master now, nothing was ever going to happen and she wasn't nearly pretty enough for him. He would make a good friend and she would enjoy it. She smiled as she paused and waited for him.
