Agent Pent was still hiding under the cover of the door's eves, the Corallus was done and was just hanging from the lock, waiting for someone with a gun or a cannon to come and clear the way, before another zurg-rush (no pun intended) from the panting Agent Pent who was now removing some of his armour and swaping it for a set of DASH gear and a couple of more unusual weapons.

Agent ginji responded to Agent Dalvar's patch link. "Yeah, I'm seeing this. I installed an op cam in Toki's armour and main weapon after the last mission she did with us, just so I could keep tabs on some of our Intra-Section agents. Have to make sure that S-13 info doesn't travel too far out of S-13 after all. But I have a live feed anyway, and no, i'm not happy about the situation. I'm already putting non-lethal weapons at the head of my R&D list...My weapons are supposed to be used to defend, or attack major threats...but not like this..."
He turned back to his channle with Toki. "I can't. I'm in the middle of GiB defense calibrations...and...I'm not allowed in the field yet...I have one week of probation left before my record is cleared for that stupid little Marshmallow Incident...I cna support you from here, or send you new weapons as they become available as well as ammo, but no field activity for me just yet"

Sharad grinned at Toki. "See?" he said into the comm-link with Dalvar. "I'm not the only one busting caps here." He walked the captive Zurg over to the blast door control panel. In a good minute or so, the blast doors were slowly humming to life. Sharad did some quick calculation in his mind. "Righto... so, it's another minute to boot up, another couple minutes for our extraterrestrial friend to override security protocol, and a good minute or so for the doors to actually open wide enough for us to crawl in without any major mutilation." He patted the captive Zurg on the back. He was actually being quite cooperative, and Sharad liked that. Unfortunately, he had refused to tell what exactly the rogue Zurg crew was still after on this Earth, so Sharad couldn't wangle a full parole for him... ah well. His jail time.
As the Zurg did his work, Sharad started to think about his own problems. Not the rest of the hostiles, but another Zurg that happened to be sitting in a room watching him screw up. "Dalvar..." he said kindly into the mic. This was gonna take some grease. "Hey... we have one less casualty. I checked out one of the "dead ones" and it started clawing at my leg. So that brings my count to one. Apparently these guys decided not to die from direct hits to the chest... I revived him with the purewater I carry with me, and neuralized him. Told him to go to our address and find a job... so expect a friendly at the door. A lot of the other wounded were neglected by their comrades, so I had to go bandage the disabled bogeys myself. I'm guessing they get jail time." As well as myself... he added mentally, grinding his teeth. When the idiots had deliberately terminated the ceasefire comm link and reacted hostilely at an unarmed approach of peace, what other choice was there to take out a few? Sharad was extremely skilled and could aim his guns precisely, so there was only one permanent casualty. That deserved merit, not a write-up...

if you be my star...

"you know... If you don't want to wait..." Toki pulled out a few grenades. "I can just blast the doors open." She leaned down and picked up a silver zurg gun. "This will satisfy Ginji." She said happily, examining the sleek weapon. She noticed some blood on it and resisited the urge to drop it, instead wiping it off on the grass at her feet. She dropped it into an empty holster. "Ginji, I got you a gun. And it's a shame, it's only me and these two kids..." Toki lit a cigarette, calming herself down. She didnt like killing.

Ginji sighed. "I know, I don't like killing any more than you, but hey....we do what we have to do to protect this planet. I'm making sure that those new non-lethals get finished up today though. Thanks for the weapon sample by the way."

Pent looked around, obviously all the action was at the main blast doors instead of the small one the snake had already unlocked. Until Agent Pent was sure of the fact that there were no armed Zurg behind the door all he could do was wait... and send the snake in for surveilence (agh, spelling).

(it's okay, pent :3)

Sharad smiled softly at Toki. "It's okay. We can wait... besides, we need to regroup and reload before we get anywhere." Sharad busied himself with checking and reloading his Glocks, then realized that this mission called for less lethality and holstered the guns. He pulled out his daggers and concentrated hard on the edges, eyes glowing with power. He coalesced an air-pressure barrier around the blade, dulling it but adding to its weight. Sharad grinned again, sliding his hands over the blade and feeling nothing but an odd sliding movement away from the blade. His Gust Blades were now temporarily Gust Hammers. He activated the air-pressure filter on his eyepiece and scanned the daggers, sending the schematics to Dalvar and Ginji. "Right. I got nonlethals right here... they only come off when I send a specific unlock sequence of psionic waves directly at the blades. So no more dead Zurgs." He grinned again. "But maybe Toki's gonna wanna take some of em out... Whatever." He patted Agent Toki on the back and returned to his gear maintenance. Three minutes... then it's time.

if you be my star...

Toki took another drag from her cigarette. "Maybe we don't have to kill them, though.." She murmured. "Ginji, have you ever seen 'A Clockwork Orange?'" Toki looked over when Sharad adressed her. "Yeah, good work, Agent." She pulled out her gun and proceeded to figure out how the customized white pistol could possibly be 'nonlethal'. She fingered the chain wielded onto the back of the gun, contemplating. Maybe... no guns? Toki put the gun back into her holster.
"I'll be fistfighting, I guess. It's a lot more personal, but then I don't have to kill them..." She dropped the cigarette, grinding it into the ground with her heel.
"We ready to go, kid?" Toki smiled. It was way too much fun acting condescending to the new guys.

Sharad grinned, not backing down. Respecting authority really wasn't his thing. "Ready when you are, doll." He stood up and drew himself to his full height, and spun his daggers dangerously. The door initiated its launch code, and Sharad heard the internal mechanism grinding... as well as the squelching barrage of 500 sets of rogue Zurg feet. He grinned again and patted the quickly recovering friendly on the back. "What's your name, man?" he said casually to the trembling Zurg soldier-turned-hacker, who proceeded pass out. Sharad eyed the conked hostage with disgust. "Come on... I'm not that frightening." He grinned for the bajillionth time today. "Am I, Toki?" The doors showed the first signs of actually opening, the hinges groaning as the giant blast gates began to move. They were in, baby.

if you be my star...

Toki pulled out her gun and cocked it at sharad. "Don't call me doll, kid. I ain't got a problem with knocking you out and leaving you for the zurg." She smirked. "And it's gonna be a few years and a couple more inches before anybody finds you frightening." She laughed, and then tilted her head.
"Here we go..." She murmured, pulling on a pair of gloves. "let's roll..."

Sharad grinned and put up his hands in mock defeat. "Hey, references to your name are illegal now? I never got the memo." He laughed and edged close to the door, squinting in through one of the widening openings in the door. "Right... okay. We have at least 20 starters, and a few hundred behind 'em. Nonlethals, and fast... otherwise I'm going to drown in my own paperwork. And Dalvar isn't gonna give me that research grant..."
Sharad grunted. "We're in in 5... 4... 3... check weapons... and GO GO GO!" He rolled into the just-wide-enough opening in the blast gate, and completely stopped the air around him. He made short work of the first 20 frozen Zurg cadets with his now nonlethal daggers, trying to remember where the pressure points for Zurgs were. A new wave came in, and the same business. "Toki! Don't you want as few for yourself?" he said a bit desperately. Freezing air particles where they stood was always tough...

The Corallus had returned from checking the inside, Agent Pent thought deeply, his mind opening the long disused telepathic pathways he had forged through training the snake.

'There are Big-eyes in white clothing with tall hats poking big metal things filled with greenwater, it smells like... That can from the bin in Durem,' the snake thought to Pent, 'that can the person drank before turning into a Big-eye. Can I haz snack now?'

Pentigan closed the link and pulled out his small box of animal quakers and tossed one at the snake, which soon had finished the duck-shaped biscuit. 'Now, a kitchen, that should be easy if no-one has any ranged weapons.'

if you be my star...

Toki lept over Sharads head. "It's offensive!" She called back to him, and landed in between a large amount of very suprised zurg.
"Damn, there's a lot of you..." She murmured. She heard a gun c**k and turned, kicking it out of the perpetrators hand.

5 minutes later, Toki was looking distastefully at her blood-stained gloves. "There any more...?" She asked, trying to listen. To many moaning zurg.
"Zip it!" She yelled, listening carefully. The humming of the machines was getting in the way.
"Damn, damn, damn..." She looked down at a knocked-out zurg, who couldn't have been more then 15. "What are we doing...?" She asked herself, losing a little faith in the GiB.
...I'll be your sky.

Agent Pent focused himself for a second and charged through the unlocked door. Inside were several Zurg in chef outfits stiring what appeared to be Zurg energy drink.

'Okay Zurg,' Agent Pent began, 'on behalf of the Gaians In Black I am comandeering this kitchen, I will need you to turn over any and all weapons to me and maybe something to eat because I am slightly hungry.'

Dalvar

Codebreaking Cosmonaut

PostPosted: Thu Nov 26, 2009 2:55 pm

Dalvar returned to her office with a freshly full mug and stared at the wall screen, a look of concern spreading across her face. She sat down in her chair and twirled around once before opening communications to all the agents in the field.

"Agents. The ship has information in its main computers. They can be accessed most easily at the center of the ship. Download and send the information within them to HQ for translation. Then get out of there. Dalvar out."

As soon as she had stopped talking she opened up a new link with Agent Pent, rolling her eyes. At least he hadn't been killing anyone.

"Keep your mind on the mission, Agent Pent, not your stomach."

With that mildly amused reminder out of the way she contacted Toki. Her voice was soft and soothing, hinting at the concern she felt.

"I'll need you to make sure that all the agents out there report to my office when you get out, Agent Toki. That includes you. And..." There was a rush of static as the Zurg sighed. "Maybe you should talk to Agent Mia of S8. That isn't an order, though. Just my advice."
