San and Sly darted for cover. They hid in a bush nearby and shivered together.
Rayne smiled as the little Nova tried to help her. It gave her passion to make sure that they both survived. She tore at the back of the Skeptos's neck and started to taste blood. Hot and heavy. She ripped and tore until the Skeptos collapsed.
Then she fell from the top of the beast. Exhausted. She was breathing hard as she lay by the smelly creature.
Wulfe finally managed to untangle himself and find his son and daughter. Then he and the two kits went to Kuhn to see if he was okay.

Kuhn was a little shaken up, but he had only gotten a few scratches. When the skeptos finally fell, he looked up happily, but then noticed Rayne. He slowly went over to her, putting a paw on her site. "Are you okay?" He said, his eyes wide.

Rayne panted and smiled, shaking her head yes. She got up and nudged the little kit that she was feeling very fond of right now, with her head. "You... Did... Good... Kuhn..."
Wulfe came over to them and said, "My gods Rayne. You are crazy... Come on and come back to the den and eat something with us. You look like you are about to collapse."
Rayne smiled and nodded yes. She looked down at little Kuhn and smiled again.

Kuhn felt his chest fill with pride when Rayne said he did good, smiling back at her. He had judged her too soon before... she was actually a really good Nova.
He looked at Sly and San, seeing that they were okay too. He was definitely ready to head back to the den.
((Do you want to skip some time now maybe so they can be older?))

"Rayne you are just incorrigable you know that... I still can't believe that you keep telling that story to the kids... No matter how much they grow up... Wulfe looked at his fair of kids and said, "You guys weren't the easiest to raise you know... But I am glad that I have you around!
San and Sly shook their purple and blue bodies and smiled at Kuhn. He was really a handsome Nova.
Rayne looked at little Kuhn, who she still called that much to his displeasure she was sure. "Silly Little Kuhn..."

Kuhn felt his face heat up a little, feeling embarrassed. Thank the goddess he had fur to cover his blush. "I'm not little anymore!" He said... even though it was no use. He had told Rayne over and over and she still insisted on her nickname. He really didn't mind as much as he made it seem... he just couldn't let the others know that.

"Well I am sure that you have to go soon huh Rayne..?" Wulfe said sounding kind of sad.
"It'll be okay pops. I will be back to visit later. See you soon Little Kuhn." She smiled and got up to walk out of the den. Looking behind her at Kuhn who had grown into quite the handsome little Nova.
"See you soon huh Kuhn...?"

((Mkay =3 ))Kuhn's ears drooped a little bit. "Why do you have to go? You just got here!" He said, standing up and looking at the light blue nova. He liked when she came over and was always sad when she left.

Rayne smiled and said, "That is how it works Little Kuhn... I have to go home sometime..." She smiled lightly then thought of something, " Do you want to join me for a bit...? I think you can handle yourself well enough to go back to my den and chat for a bit. I live in the upper plains. In the mountains. What do you say...?" She tilted her head and smiled.

Go with her? That was something new. "Sure, I'll come." He said, walking over her and trying to strut. "It's not safe for you to go all the way home by yourself anyway."

Rayne smiled and said, "Of course it isn't entirely safe. Silly Little Kuhn. That is why I have you around my Little Skeptos Slayer." She grinned at him and started to walk out Wulfe's Den.

Kuhn turned to wave goodbye to his father and siblings, before dashing to catch up with the female nova. She visited a lot but they had never spent time together alone like this. It was strange... but nice. Even if they had just left the den. He kept his eyes and ears peeled for any sign of trouble, but quickly relaxed. "So.." He said, feeling a little nervous. He wasn't sure what to say.

Rayne sensed his tension and said, "You don't have to be nervous Kuhn... You grew up around me. I am still the same old Rayne I always was." She smiled at him.

"I'm not nervous!" He quickly said in his defense. But he knew he was lying. Taking a breath, the male tried to relax himself. She was right, there was nothing to be nervous about. "Sorry." He mumbled. "It's just... different... walking with you like this."
