Rajin shrugged his shoulders. "We may not like living in the cold, but it doesn't mean we can adapt to it. We just need to toughen ourselves to get used to the cold weather."

When the beorc woman gave him four pieces of gold in front of him, informing that the money would be enough to cover a meal, his ears twitched again. First, the Hawk King and now, this beorc? What was this? Pity on Rajin Day? If the beorc woman was a laguz or a man, he would start another fight again. However, his old man's woman back from his world would have scorned him if he picked a fight with a woman.

Picking up the four coins, Rajin stood up in front of Clara and took her hand.

"Keep the money," Rajin said as he placed her money back in her hand. "I don't take pity from someone who thinks I can't survive on my own. I've been through worse situations and I've managed to live through it. Besides, it's not like I don't know how to make currency that you beorc do."

As he listened to Clara about the abilities that the laguz had, he couldn't help but smiled back. If there was one thing he prided mostly, it was being a laguz. It was who he was, unlike a certain someone he knew back in his world. Just thinking about that person and what he thought just ruffled Rajin's fur.

"Thanks, but I'm not fast enough as cat laguz. They're quite the speedsters in our race." Rajin smirked. "And I don't think you beorc aren't so bad yourselves too. Even though you can't transform like us, you beorc can easily adapt to any environment and hone in your strengths very well."

Joshua quietly ate his omelet as a newcomer approached the table and began talking about how she would like to be a Laguz, He had taken note of how the Hawk Laguz ignored him outright and frowned at this. Not that it really mattered as the person whom had been fighting with Tibarn showed up.

The man revealed him self to be a tiger Laguz... "Wonder how that's different from the hawk-guy..." He thought, looking up at Rajin he grinned. "Hey, you’re the one who was fighting this fellow, right? How would you like to make a quick bet? Really, nothing to it!" The same coin he had planned to use on Tibarn was in his hand swiftly. "Go on, just call it. No trouble at all Heads or Tails?" He said flipping it off of his thumb and into the air. Usually this all happened so fast that the person Joshua was targeting had no time to think what they might be getting themselves into and just blurted out their choice, Although what ever Rajin chose wouldn't matter in the long run...

Joshua was going to cheat, as always and would turn the coin over whatever way he needed to win as his eyes followed every turn it made, He'd practiced this smooth move many times and had become even better than when he used it on Innes, He glanced at the Hawk Laguz as the coin left his hand, Hawks were supposed to have good eyes... he might be able to catch on but only if he was absorbed in the coin toss and was watching like Joshua which way it would fall.

"Whatever floats your boat," Rajin shrugged his shoulders. "But I guess giving a hand doesn't hurt to try, huh?"

When he heard Clara asking the question about racism, Rajin let out a frown. Usually, talking about racism would rile him up and he would let out his anger through fists and talk. However, what people didn't know was that it also bring him disappointment and sadness too. It just reminded him of the past he couldn't forget.

"Isn't it obvious?" Rajin replied back to Clara. "Most beorc from my world hate my kind because they fear and jealous of us. They are upset because we're more powerful than them when it comes to strength and speed and without weapons you beorc carry. As for my kind, we only hate those who have issued against us. That's why there is a racial hatred between laguz and beorc. And besides, the racial insults, the beorc from Begnion used numbers of soldiers to outnumber my kind and enslave them. However, that was long ago."

When he saw the look on Clara when he mentioned about the enslavement, he let out a small smile. "Hey, no need to worry about it. It was long ago. But there are still some enslavement of my kind that needed to be free. And besides, not all countries are like Begnion. Take Crimea for example. It's a beorc country, but it extends its hands to my country Gallia for peace and friendship."

As he listened to Clara expressed how fascinated it was as a laguz, Rajin couldn't help but smile. It reminded him of a certain person he knew well. However, when thinking of that certain person made him frown a bit. Just thinking about that person ruffled his fur sometimes.

Just then, his ears perked a bit when he heard Leena talked to him. He cocked his eyebrow as he frowned at the Jeweler's comment. "Of course, I'm a tiger laguz. Do you think my ears and tail look fake to you?"

Really, didn't the Jeweler see how real his features were? It was not like he could pull them off and be a beorc. That would be painful and a shame to his tribe. He wondered if Leena needed to check her eyesight.

Then his ear perked a bit when he heard what Leena said. She read about them? Since when did this country have information about his kind? He knew very well that there weren't many laguz in this world and he hadn't seen so many during his travel. Could it be that some beorc from his world wrote a book about them? Well, if it did, then he hoped that beorc didn't insult his kind or else he would pummel that author to the ground.

Suddenly, his ears perked again when he heard Leena mentioned about seeing two cat laguz in Eryis. So there were some of his kind besides the bird tribe in Eyris? Well, that made his day fine and dandy. Maybe he would meet them one day. What were their names? Lyre and Lethe?

"No, I haven't heard them before." Rajin replied as he let out a smirk. "But I'll keep my eyes and ears out if I meet them."

Suddenly, he heard someone was calling to him. Looking around to see who called him, Rajin spotted the red-headed man. He then cocked his eyebrow at the man. "Yeah, I'm the one who fight the old man. What do you want?"

The man informed him that he wanted to make a bet as he pulled out the coin and flipped. Rajin narrowed his eyes. Just head or tails and no detail of what the bet was about? Although the tiger laguz liked to make some fun, his instinct told him that this man was up to no good. He didn't like making deals with someone who was shady.

"Neither," Rajin answered as he snatched the coin in the air and clutched it tightly in his fist. He then move forward to get into the Swordmaster's face. Rajin sneered. "If you think I will make a deal with swindlers, think again. I don't trust those who try to scam people off with this petty trick."

Rajin held his fist up between them and opened his hand. Coming out of his hand was Joshua's coin that was now bended in half. He then let out a nasty grin. "You're lucky you swindler are not the one I dislikes the most or else I would have tear your hand off."

Figured that someone would be curious of what he meant, Rajin explained further. "The people I dislikes the most are those who tried to pretend to be someone else. It disgusts me of how people try to hide their true identities. Never take pride in themselves of who they are. Because the more they try to pretend to be from others, the more they lie to themselves. And as they lie, they begin to distrust themselves until they became their own worst enemies."

He then turned to Tibarn and let out a smirk. It was too bad the tiger laguz didn't know the Hawk King's story. "Of course, we have nothing to be ashamed about ourselves, eh old man?"

Joshua glanced at the bent coin, "So, He's pretty strong..."

Joshua thought he might be able to grant Clara's wish, so he stood up and with his left hand, plucked his hat from the top of his head and set it down beside his cleaned off plate his right hand strayed to Jaren's wooden sword as he gently pulled it from its place on his belt and let it hang low by his hip.

"Are you suggesting I might be a cheater? You didn't even hear my bet." He said, as his hand closed around the bent coin on the table, it had fallen out of the tigers hand when he opened it up... quite dramatic really... in fact it gave Joshua an idea. "All I wanted to do is have a little test of skill with you! So tell you what, lets change the conditions. I want a practice match against you, I've never fought Laguz before and I want to polish my technique." As he said technique he snapped his wrist with a flourish, "We don't have to do it today, you know anticipation is half the fun! Oh! I almost forgot. I should pay for my meal." He slapped the hand holding the bent coin down on the table but when he took his hand away the coin was straight, How did this happen? Easy.

When he flourished while talking he'd actually been covering up a practiced move, he'd slid an exact replica of the bent coin that had been hiding in his sleeve... when he removed his sword he was hiding the trick-coin he'd planned to palm off in his pocket, The bent coin was now resting comfortably in one of his jacket pockets.

He looked to Rajin and Tibarn, "I honestly don't care which one of you takes me up on my offer, I'd prefer Tibarn here though.... he seems a little tougher." He grinned once more, "So you can come after me right now if you want and we can do it today, or you can come find me later. Either way it’s a good deal! You're lucky you met a guy like me. Who knows I might teach you something." He said as he walked towards the door.

"That tiger fellow does a lot of bragging about his race.... now that he knows what I'm up to maybe he'll put some money down." He thought pausing at the door long enough to see if anyone would call him back.
