You mean Elva? I think Arya and Eragon should get together and Orik should be the next rider, just for a twist.

Sorry..I'm going to have to shoot that down.. Orik can't be a dragon rider cuase he's a dwarf. The dwarves weren't included in the treaty thing made by the dragons and elves (humans were added into it later). Unless Orik isn't completely dwarf. I would say the next rider is a female cause Cp said female riders were stronger than male ones and why would he have plotted that out if he wasn't going to have a female in it?

I once wrote out my theory about this. But I'm to lazy to find it.
Basically, the chixor who will be the next rider will be a human from Surda who is feisty. This is all. I will not explain more fully.

the next rider is supposedly ARYA- basically because, if your dragon like someone, it will influence who you like - the last dragon is male--> thus, if Arya's dragon likes Saphira, she will fall in love with Eragon. Also, as an elf and female, she has a stronger hold on the place than the other characters. mrgreen

I'm just throwing out a name but what about the 13 year old that killed one of galbatorix's men in the second book, (I can't remember his name)
he gambled with the soldiers on the boats when they floated down to Teirm

jeese everyone on this thread has way too romantic of thoughts! did you ever think that maybe saphira will like thorn more then whatever the new dragon's name is going to be? i have my own thoughts about who is going to be the rider, but here are some certainly strong possiblities
Arya... ya i know way over played out. but if it were me, i'd make it so that saphira doesn't like the third dragon and eragon's trying to make her. the third dragon is also trying to make Arya like Eragon, but in the end nithers really wins
orik...i don't really care what every on is saying, that it's impossible for a dwarf rider. that is not true. if anything, paolin saying it and setting it up so that orrik hates dragons is mere foreshadow for him being the third rider. who knows?
Roran...once again, way over played out. but you know, it really could happen. maybe this whole story has more to do with bloodlines then we know...
Elva...certainly plausable. she might even be a neutral rider, being that she's mad at eragon. it would certainly be interesting
Nausada...used ften in Murtagh x Nauda fics. often times the dragon is secretly female when that happens. and it does make for an interesting plotline...
oc...i personally think its going to be a charactor we haven't met yet, but always has beee there one way or another. my mind is, of course stuck in my fic, but who's isn't?
in the end, we all have to wait and wonder...

I think Arya might be the Rider because, yes, she was mentioned quite a bit and a lot of things did revolve around her. Additionally, I think she'll be it because normally, a person will get a dragon of the opposite gender and CP makes it sound like the egg will be a male. I also believe that Roran has a very small chance of becoming a Rider if CP is as predictable as we think he is. (I think the person crying on the beach and shouting for the pair on the boat will be Roran.)

she was captured by the Ra'zac, no?
thus, she would possibly be brought to Uru'Baen, where the eggs are.
some way, she would find the egg.

-Katrina- Not bad. It could happen! I can see it now... Roran Stronghammer and his wife the rider!
-But my vote is Elva. She's dragonmarked already! She might come across the egg and it hatches for her because she feels familiar, like what happened with the scrying/dream things Arya did with Eragon in the first book. She picked Eragon because he felt familiar because of Saphira! My vote is it will be Elva.
-Vanner? (Is that how you spell it?) if not, he's the elf swordsman Eragon dueled all the time in Eldest.
