[ zanbato ] Fuzzi_Llama007 [ zanbato ] Fuzzi_Llama007 m0b5t4 greenphoenixrain I've marching in the rain twice with a wool uniform. Once was the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade and the other was last thursday at the Walnut Creek Parade of Lights. There also have been some mornings when I've had to march in the rain. OMG!! I HATE THE RAIN!! we have new astro turf! i love it!! its got tiny pieces of rubber(like chopped up tire) ANYWAY...we were practicing in our uniforms because it was a day before a competition and it just started down pouring....lightenting, thunder and the only cover we had was under the bleachers...needless to say...that didnt do CRAP!! OUR BAND DIRECTOR MADE US PRACTICE UNDER THE BLEACHERS WHILE IT WAS POURING RAIN! stressed i had to stand in a puddle for a half hour, when i got home MY FEET WERE PRUNY xp the day after that they started to peel...oh my god it was so gross!!! we have a new turf field too! we are one of the only high schools in the state and i love it! and i also hate marching in the rain. my feet always hurt when they get pruny. Luckyness! yeah-but we only march on it for fb games and when we host a competition. I'd roll around on it. O_O

some of the flutes in my band are lazy. they need to put their flutes on the shelves because their flutes dont fit in their back packs. i can fit my clarinet in my back pact with a couple of books and a binder in my back pack and that's at least twice as big as a flute case.

Oh Jeebus, marching in the rain. Bad, bad memories.
Well, I'll only talk of this year. This year, as we do every year, we practiced on the crap field-- the school's only field-- for field show.
Now, clarinets are almost ALWAYS on the right side (from the audience's point of view). Well, some clarinets were allowed to extend their reaches to the left hand side, and I was one of them. I wish we didn't have to. For a good majority of the field show, three clarinets, myself included, had to trample through the mud. When I was done marching and going back to class, I had mud up to my knees. My SOCKS had mud splatters all over them when I would take my shoes off. As for my shoes- I had to wash them, and they were still slightly caked in mud. From time to time, somebody slid through the mud.
But that's just the aftermath of the rain. As for actually marching in the rain, my glasses always fog up and I end up having to rely on watching the person's plume in front of me, because their body's too blurry to stay in line with. But we usually high tail it when it rains.

I hate it when that glasses thing happens! Once, it was raining and my glasses were foggy and falling off and we have this four-count spin, and I was afraid of falling in the mud, forgetting where I was facing and losing my glasses. It's crazy.

whee It was so cool; once, there was a possibility that it would rain at a football game, but we still went to play. However, because it might have rained, we just went in our clothes we came in instead of the uniform. n_n So the band performed dressed in sweaters, pants, and a few in PE clothes since they thought we were going to jump into uniforms. That was fun. It was last month, or the month before, I think.

I can't fit my bass clarinet in my backpack 2. I don't carry it every where i go because it is slightly large. 3. I know a girl who complains about carriny around a piccolo case. I could hold it on my ear. honestly i actually tried.
