"Ain't really any trouble, though, I guess a horse would be hard t' park," Rory said, looking thoughtful. "I'll take you on a carriage ride soon. I promise."

Lee nodded before giving the boy a tight hug. "I'll go tell Lauss we're leaving." She trotted off to his room to let the essentic know, agreeing to bring him back something flavorful, but not sweet.

Rory ambled past her to wait by the door after having gotten his nicer shoes on. He smiled at her when she approached, a sort of dopey grin he couldn't help having every time he saw her.

Lee chuckled softly as she walked up to Rory, noting his expression. "You're such a loser..." she laughed, pushing him out the door and starting to walk with him.

Rory just made a soft rumbling noise moving to put an arm around Lee, hugging her. He shivered a bit and ducked back inside only to return with their jackets. "Gettin' chillier at night, love."

Lee, too, had noticed the cold, rubbing her arms to keep them warm as Rory returned. Smiling and taking her jacket, she put it on before resuming her arm-hugging position, walking close by Rory's side to keep warm. Poor Lauss... he was probably a little, teal ice cube by now.

Rory kept his girl close to his side, not wanting her to catch a cold as they walked through the carnival grounds. Exiting Farstep, he led her down the streets close by, looking for a restaraunt. Spotting a bistro, he steered them in that direction, holding the door open for Lee.

Lee smiled with delight at the bistro's interior, already having high expectations for the food served here. It was nice, and she hoped Rory wouldn't mind paying so much for a meal. Finding it was heated within, she was able to stand like a normal person and not huddle up into herself. Taking Rory's hand, Lee waited to be shown where to sit.

A hostess looked them over, a slightly disdainful expression gracing her featured briefly, and showed them to a nice booth in the back. Rory didn't seem to mind, not really knowing that tables in the back usually meant the restaurant didn't want them seen. He figured it was better to be near the kitchen since they'd get their food quicker. Looking over a menu he was handed, he tried to decide what he wanted.

Lee knew full well what being sat in the back meant, and she pouted the whole way there. Grumbling as she sat, she looked over her menu, not really seeing what she was reading. She looked nice, dammit! Why were they hiding her? "Can we get a table closer to the front? I wanna look out the window." Lee smiled to the woman, actually resembling her mother quite a bit at that moment. Was a little respect from people she was handing over hard-earned money to too much to ask?

"I'll see what I can do," the woman said crisply, walking away.
Rory peered up over his menu. "I donnae know what th' deal is. Back here we're likely t' get our food faster. I'll gae find someone t' move us, though, if you really wanna look out th' window."

Lee shot the waitress a glare, and after the woman walked off, she shifted the glare down to her menu. Stupid, stupid restaurant... Lee's face softened, however, at Rory's words. Sighing, Lee shook her head. "That's okay. We can just stay here." She was relieved to realize that Rory hadn't a clue what was going on, and she'd just play along, she figured. She didn't want to upset him. Finally looking over the menu, she found that most everything she'd want was far more than she wanted Rory spending on a single dinner. Shrinking in her seat, she sighed, deciding she'd just have some pasta. Ohhh, but that chicken looked so good. Oh well. She could ask Rory to make her chicken later. "What are you getting?" Lee asked, peering over her menu and at her future husband, tapping his foot with her own lightly.

"Th' Grilled Trout sounds good, but I think I'll gae wi' th' Maple Brined Pork Chop," Rory said, not bothered by the prices. After all, he hadn't taken Lee on a real date before and figured the price was worth enjoying an evening with his bride-to-be. "Get whate'er you like, me love."

"Really?" Lee's face perked up, her eyes falling back to the chicken. It wasn't that expensive -- at least not as much as what Rory was getting. "Grilled Chicken with garlic butter, I guess, then." She hopped a bit in her seat, avoiding the dessert page as best she could.

Rory smiled at her. Damn, she was cute. "If you got room after our meal, you can hae dessert, too." He leaned over to kiss her as their waiter came up, clearing his throat. Rory sat back and gave the man a shy smile then ordered for both of them, getting some sparkling pear cider, too.
