Even though i do not attend to any of the festvials/events where you go to a temple and pray, i only did that once in Birmingham, but that was ages ago stare
Does anyone here have this lil shrine at the top corner of your house, where you put inscents, the buddha or some kind of statue, food/offereings on it and you have to pray it on a particular day question

They have those lil shrine thingies in super markets, and once my brother tried to eat the appples they put there. ^^;;

@B&B: I was raised the same basically, though my parents didn't thrust any buddhist teachings on me or anything, just told me to pray occasionally. And all the schools I've been to have been christian ones, which is pretty good for instilling morals in me, but in terms of beliefs it didn't do much.
And why have you left me on my own to fend off the swarms of christian heaven spawn? gonk Get your a** back here!! scream

Been drilled into me since... um... three and a half. Luckily my secondary school didn't recite it constantly.

Been drilled into me since... um... three and a half. Luckily my secondary school didn't recite it constantly. We don't recite the lord's prayer at our school but we do have a 'blessing' at the weekly chapel we go to. Ummm something about god looking over us... help us live better lives.. bla bla.. yeh, whatever. stare Most of the sixth form have gotten so fed up with chapel that when the reverend tells us to bow our heads, we just can't be bothered anymore. xd And what am I doing to you? Trying to save your a**! scream -throws grenades through a gap in the windows-

we have prayers during asembly, the teacher tells us to bow our heads but i just look down and fiddle with my bag for the whole assembly xd
I dont find any point in listening to the prayer since it bores me and im already a Buddhist, are they trying to make me Christian also rolleyes

I dont find any point in listening to the prayer since it bores me and im already a Buddhist, are they trying to make me Christian also rolleyes They're always trying to make you a christian. The only way you can get out of going to chapel is if your parents have an obligation to you attending a christian service. And for those who don't go to chapel they have to sit in a room and do homework while being supervised by a teacher. So it's either chapel or do work, a catch 22. sad
