My whole existence is flawed...

Adrian nuzzled her Neko's nose before her tone went serious. "Yes, but let's not discuss it out here. Come inside." She wrapped her arm around Luna's shoulders and led both she and Morgance through the front door. "You know where the sitting room is. Make yourself at home, Luna. Morgance, could you please get some tea prepared? I have to take this dress off!"

Morgance nodded and skipped into the kitchen while Adrian went into her bedroom. She quickly untied the intricate knots that held the dress closed and stripped herself of the dreadful garment, hanging it in her wardrobe. The Seraphim pulled out another dress and slipped it on. It was a simple white dress with black ribbons and trim. This was the only kind of dress she really liked; nothing too extravagant, but it still looked nice. She briefly examined herself in the mirror before leaving her bedroom.

By the time Adrian had made it into the sitting room, tea had already been set out on the small table in the middle of the room and Morgance was petting Drystan absentmindedly as she stared off into space. The general turned swiftly to one of her bookshelves and pulled out a book that had papers sticking out of it. It was a book of battle plans and Adrian's own revisions to the text. She went to her chair and grabbed a cup of tea, sipping at it before setting it down in exchange for a pen. Adrian cracked open the book and began studying.

All was still for a while as the General examined her battle plans. No sound was heard save for the sound of a pen on paper as Adrian took more notes. Morgance was lost in thought when an idea came to her. She looked nervously between Adrian and Luna before speaking.
"Um... Adrian?" The Seraphim looked up from her notes. "I was wondering... Have you ever heard of a half-breed named Kestral Silverdust?"

The General stared at her ward for a moment, confused as to why she would ask such a question. She nodded slowly. "Kestral Silverdust. Leader of a group of a powerful demons that call themselves the Kurai. The Clan is currently situated on Earth, on an island in the Pacific ocean, I believe. They have been off the radar for a while, but I suspect this war will cause them to come out of hiding."

Morgance nodded. "Yes, that's the one. I was thinking that maybe he could be of some help to us. We could go talk to him since you know where he lives!" Her tone became less nervous and more bold. By the time she was finished speaking, she wore an excited smile.

Adrian raised and eyebrow at the young woman's antics. It wasn't totally uncalled for to see Morgance act a little hyper at times, but that was usually over food or Drystan or a story she was telling. Never did she get this excited over another person, and the fact that Kestral was stirring such emotion in the girl intrigued the General.

"That is a good idea, but..." Adrian smirked at her blue-haired ward. "How do you even know Kestral, Morgance?"

A deep blush crept over Morgance's face. Suddenly, Drystan began to sing...

"Argentine met aquamarine
creating a bond
that remains unseen!"

"Drystan!" Morgance shouted, covering the kitten's mouth. She looked up at Adrian nervously. "Erm... We've met... When I still lived with my father. Only once, though..."

Adrian just stared for a moment before bursting into laughter. She felt as if her sides would split if she continued. "Okay, okay..." She spoke between gasps. "We're going to Kurai Island!"

Alice sat, hunched over on the riverbank. She watched Adrian and Luna quietly. "Glad that they may be friends..."She whispered.

Hisikata blinked and cocked her head to the right. She studied the man before her, contemplating. Finally she spoke.

The question is not "May I help you?" its "Do I wish to help you?" Hisikata explained. Well do you wish to help me?

She waited calmly for the man to answer.

Ronoku Ichizuma, age 19 was currently sitting in the grass with his back against the base of a tree, his hair swayed with the light breeze. He looked to the river not to far away, the moonlight glistening from the waters surface. He took a sip of water from his canteen and put it back into his backpack, exhaling, his warm breath visible in the cold nightly air. "Always nice to be alive, that's untill I have to fight again." He said to himself before grabbing his backpack, zipping up his jacket, standing up and begginning to walk. He liked the silence other than the sound of the rivers water and the crickets and grasshoppers. He walked along the riverside, from the way he saw it, water was a vital souce, and there was always bound to be some kind of civilization or other humanoid life like himself along it.

Opcapta closed his eyes in what almost looked like fustration and opened them again trying to make sense of what the vamp girl was talking about.

Are you not one of her majesty's soldiers? have you come to seek an audience with her? I beleive her ladyship is welcoming strong warriors to speak with her, she wishes to assemble a personal task force. If your willing to "help"...

he showed slight mockery in the vamp's riddle speak.
PostPosted: Thu Nov 05, 2009 2:39 pm

Hisikata stared intently at the man before her, evaluating him.

I seek an answer perhaps if I help your majesty I will find my answer. Of course that all depends on why she wants to speaks to those who claim to be strong warriors, would you mind telling me? Hisikata spoke politely. If you don't mind my asking I have another question...Who exactly is your majesty?

Hiskata looked down at the ground the shyness hidden within her seeping out just a little bit. She mentally cursed herself as she felt a blush coming, in front of a man no less. He was sure to ridicule her for it. Of course she had no interest in this man, nor was she emberassed, she was just somewhat shy at times around unknown people.

My whole existence is flawed...

Adrian stepped out of her room once again and into the sitting room, her armor clanking with each step. She used her teeth to tie the knots in her gauntlets. "Redemption" was resting on a stand beside her favorite chair. The General lifted the blade and tied it around her waist so it was resting on her left side. She pulled the adamantium rapier out of its sheath and examined its flawless craftsmanship. The sword was sheathed once more before she made her way to the foyer.

Morgance and Luna were in the foyer waiting.
"Morgance, you will come with me. Luna, I do not think it would be wise to take you along since they may see us as a threat if we bring too many people. You are welcome to stay here as long as you like. My home is your home. We will return shortly." Adrian wrapped her Neko friend in a warm hug.

Morgance looked at Luna and smiled widely.
"I'll leave Drystan here for you to play with! I know how much you love him!" She hugged the Neko as well.

Adrian looked to Morgance, who had donned a pair of long shorts to go under her dress. These were for flying. And of course, the girl was not wearing shoes.
"Ready, Morgance?" The young angel nodded. Adrian opened the front door and walked out, her ward following close behind.

The two angels stood outside, facing eachother. Adrian held out her arms and Morgance stepped forward, wrapping her own arms around the General's waist. Adrian did the same. In perfect synchronized motion, both angels' wings burst out of their backs and they were enveloped in a bright blue light. The light brightened and expanded, and by the time it dimmed and anyone could see again, the angels were already gone from this realm.

~~~~~~~~~~HOLYSHITTIMESKIP~~~~~~~~~~
Adrian and Morgance appeared in an abandoned town along the coast of what used to be California. Every building, statue, and monument was covered in moss and other forms of plant growth. It was deathly silent for no one had lived here for hundreds of years.
Morgance looked around in awe.
"Where are we?" She spoke quietly as if the sound waves that her voice produced would break the fragile structures around her.
"This is..." Adrian sighed deeply, wrapped in the nostalgia. "My home town."
Morgance's mouth made the shape of an "o" as understanding had washed over her. She didn't ask or say anything else. The young angel knew that it would force Adrian to recall upsetting memories.
They walked in silence to the shore. Adrian stopped just short of the water's edge, letting the small waves run around her feet. Without warning, Adrian's wings burst out of her back once again. She pumped the grand apendages downward, shooting her body into the sky. Morgance followed in suit.
~~~~~~~~~~HOLYSHITTIMESKIP~~~~~~~~~~

It had been four hours. Four hours of complete and total silence, and they still hadn't happened upon Kurai Island. Morgance was getting a tad irritable at having to fly for so long.

"Um..." She finally worked up the courage to speak. "Adrian? How much farther do you think it is?"

Adrian looked down at the seemingly endless Pacific Ocean. "It's there." She pointed to an island that appeared to be deserted and descended.

Morgance frowned at how untalkative the General was being and followed her down. They both landed gracefully and Morgance smiled at the feeling of sand between her toes.
I should be happier! She was going to see Kestral! The young angel wondered if the esteemed half-angel would even recognize her.

As the two angels descended upon the island, something odd would happen. A large distortion would erupt from around the small sandy island, giving it a nearly liquid appearance for a moment. The more they neared the island, the more it would reveal that it was in fact the grand island of the renowned Kurai Clan. Once they set foot on the sands, they would realize that what they had seen was only a portion of the beach at the south of the island. The turquoise waters lapped against the warm white sands leaving foam and small creatures in their wake.

The other Kurai soldiers had left after their leader had addressed them about an hour previously. But one man with long silver hair had stayed behind, the serenity of the beaches had always appealed to him. He laid back, letting the warm sands tingle against his tight fiber armor. His eyes closed as he began to smile and dream about life elsewhere. He loved Kurai Island, but waking up to the same surroundings again and again had become droll. Suddenly, his eyes shot open and he looked around him. He looked toward the sky and veiled his eyes using his Aura Vision.

A blazing yellow aura with a center shaped like a bird and another light blue aura with the same center were flying nearby. He winced and concentrated his blazing silver eyes to find that they were not birds.

"Angels..." The man said, ducking behind a rock so that he would not be seen. The two angels landed only a few yards from the boulder. He peered over to examine them more thoroughly.

"Incredible, it's been ages since we've had any kind of visitor..." He thought to himself. Only a moment later did realization dawn on the silver haired man.

"They aren't visitors... They're..." He whispered, then stepped out from behind the large boulder. His face was fixed sternly on them. He flipped his hand up and pointed at them as he finished his statement.

"Intruders. I am Xylar of the Kurai Clan, you have stepped on sacred ground reserved only for the Kurai. Prepare yourselves for battle." He said valiantly. He pulled what had appeared to be a long dagger out of it's sheath, but was revealed that it was instead a rod made of a strange ore. Mythril or Orichalcum most likely. He then pulled the rod up to eye level, closed his eyes and passed his free hand over the crystalline rod. As his hand traveled up the length of the rod, a red light enveloped it. When he reached the end, it appeared as though he had finished but he kept going until his hand was over twice past where the end had been.

The light began to shift and shape until it was in the shape of a slightly curved blade. Once it stopped shifting, Xylar flourished the blade downward and the light burst from it, revealing a ferocious sword with dragonic inspiration.

"Flametongue, burn brightly." As he spoke the words, flames engulfed the blade. Flames so intense that they nearly went out as far as Xylar's shoulders.

My whole existence is flawed...

Adrian grinned as the landscape unfolded around them. She figured that the Kurai would have something crafty like this hiding their island. All was well. Morgance seemed to be in a good mood, and that made Adrian's mood lift as well.

A shout came from nearby and Morgance gasped at the figure fast approaching them, gripping at the flute under her dress. Adrian noticed this.
"Stay out of this Morgance." Morgance nodded walking back to gain some distance. She stared in awe as the blonde drew her sword.

Adrian grew angry at Xylar's actions, watching intently as his blade was "unsheathed", flames licking around it.
"You dare greet us with hostility?" She shouted back. "I am Adrian; Seraphim General of Heaven! You will not get away with treating me in such a manner!"

The General charged forward at her foe, leaping in the air at the last minute to bring her adamantium rapier swooping down at the silver-haired half-breed.

Morgance watched in awed silence. It never occurred to her that this would happen. She figured that Kestral would be the one to greet them, and all would be well. This was definitely not what she expected.

"I treat you with hostility for we accept neither angels nor demons among us." Xylar said evenly as the blonde angel that had introduced herself as Adrian launched into the air and towards him. He flipped the blade so that it was facing towards his back. Her blade came down with a mighty amount of force, and just as she was about to reach him, Xylar threw Flametongue in front of him to block the attack.

The two swords crashed against one another sending sparks flying and flames spitting into the sand. The blades remained locked for a moment, shooting more and more ravenous flames onto the sands before a red pulse of light flashed through Flametongue. Immediately after the flash subsided, a blast of fire jetted out from the blade. This would likely burn Adrian badly enough to stop her for a moment to heal herself.

Adrian was sent hurdling back, smoke wafting from her blade and arm. ((You're going to be smoky regardless, but that doesn't mean you were injured per se.))

Xylar chuckled slightly as he looked her over. "I would have expected more strategy from a general."

Ophelia smiled and stood and walked over calmly to a pedestel next to her throne and placed the bloodied skull unto it.

She turned around to examine the soldier before her, with her own vision.

she continued to ryhme
In this hell, doth bodies lay
the ones that require such treatment, infact fly above
killing for hire, doth mercenary get pay
kill of angels, would make me feel such love

The contract ideal you follow is no more
the times of war have been of cost
for your loyalty is now, a requirment of lore
swear to me your soul or it shall be lost

she smiled and walked closer continuing to hum a symphonic tune

she looks into the eyes of the undead warrior still a few feet a way as she spoke to his soul.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opcapta showed the first sign of a grin as he studied the... interesting vampire. He couldnt work out wether or shyness act was genuine or not. Why would she need to be embarassed? he thought.

Opcapta gathered she must have too much of a humanity side still inside her.

perhaps you would like to ask her yourself? Besides, I have a rogue corpse I have to watch over. follow...

Opcapta hurried motioning the skull doors to open. the clatter of his dangling chain could be heard as he continued his stride onwards.

"it seem's you have the cards and im folding" Menji said

Menji knew he had lost the chance to strike it rich but he still had the chance to emblazen his name on history and te name Menji N Sanatore will strike fear in the angels and humans alike

Alice sighed furiously and glared up at the sky. It didn't seem right to her. This whole battle felt all wrong. When asked to join Heavens side, she immediatly declined and the same with Hell. Because nothing else seemed to make sence at the moment, she began to sing quietly to herself in a soft voice, such as that of a dove:

Turning angrily away, Alice spread her wings and took of down the mountain, flying a few feet above the ground

Hisikata fell into step behind the man.

Stingy one ,aren't we? Hisikata muttered under her breath.

While they were walking Hisikata glanced at the surrondings. She didn't see why the man or was he a boy? It was hard to tell when you live in a place like Hell. Anyway she didn't understand why he couldn't just answer himself. It could be a trap, Hisikata thought and decided to be wary.

Tell me your name. Hisikata demanded. Its custom for the host to introduce themself to their guest and the rules of manners clearly state that anyone you willingly invite into your house is a guest. You don't want to have bad manners do you?

Hisikata went back to looking around.
