Tallulah blinked at him. She hadn't thought of that. Did they look like anyone she knew? After a moment's thought, just enough to build a fair amount of suspense, she said, "No. They didn't."
They really didn't. Consider it a mystery to solve another day. She would get to the bottom of this, though. That was for sure. "Yeah," she said, and started back towards the front gate. "Let's go."
No one would even ever need to know they were here. "I'm fine," she said. "I was behind a planter the whole time. I saw most of it. Like I said, I got video of the whole thing."
They arrived back at the fence.
"Gimme a boost," she said, looking back at him. "Jaimie?"

Oh. Thank. God. Jaimie struggled to keep the tide of relief off his face, as he let his desperate attempts to explain, even to himself, why he'd just been throwing flaming knives at hammer wielding nuts, were rendered unnecessarily. Normally he didn't put much stock in miracles, but this ranked pretty high toward that possibility. "Yeah, yeah sorry." He cleared his throat, pretending to have been checking out behind them, just in case of Senshi. "You know I was kind of expecting idiots with nerf-weapons... not... that" He admitted, moving to give her a hand up.

"Yeah," agreed Tallulah, stepping onto his hands and then scrambling onto the top of the wall. She held a hand down for him to grab on to.
Once Jaimie was up, she said, at a bit of a loss for words, "Well, that was fun."
And in a sort of weird, twisted way, it was.

"Well, most of it." Jaimie agreed. Maybe except for the part with people bleeding. He just really couldn't explain that part, not without explaining why he'd just lied, or how he was pretty sure he wasn't actually some kind of terrorist. "Definitely exciting. I'll grant you exciting." He chuckled, as he took her hand and hauled himself up. "Want me to walk you back or anything?" He wasn't sure if she was staying in one of the dorms or if her folks were in town, but he didn't entirely want to leave her alone either.

"My house is only a few blocks away," fumbled Tallulah. "I'll be okay. It's not a bad neighborhood."
Then again, she'd never walked home alone at ten thirty at night before, and after all that weirdness, she was worried about running into the girl in gray again. Star seeds? What did that mean?
"Actually," she said, in a moment of weakness, "I'd like it a lot if you'd go with me."

"Yeah, no problem." Jaime gave her a reasuring flash of smile again, grateful for the company and the vague feeling of safety. "Let's go."
