Now the idea that the other two were ready to flee was what he suspected might happen when this one made his appearance. As for Pepper... he couldn't say his actions were any different then he had expected. He came to a sliding halt just a step in front of Pepper his arms to the side, "Torekane!" He yelled at the demon, releasing his tightly held control over his aura. It was something that would sweep out over the area, it was a thick, heavy, and almost crushing feeling that would wrap around those around him and got the attention of the Lake Guardian onto him.

He gave a bit of a smirk as he looked over his shoulder at Pepper, "You should fall back with your little friends, your not your Father... this guy will make you into lunch." He said before he turned as he looked over at the sea serpent again.

Torekane's eyes went wide at the aura that was coming from the child before he rose up on his back feet, hissing, flaring out his many, brightly colored fins as he tried to intimidate those in front of him, "Sssilly creaturesss... you ssshould not have tressspassed here..." He hissed at them, snapping his teeth together as though he were trying to scare them off but seemed for the moment unable to step forward, more cowed by Melan's aura then he would like to admit.

Cody gasped as the aura spread and seemed to press down on them with suffocating force. Wincing, the child struggled to back away as much as possible. "Told... you... not... trustworthy..." he muttered to Edes as he stopped not too far away from him. Now he knew why he didn't like Melan; he was a deceitful little brat that had brought them to this stupid lake to get killed.

Slowly, he began to pull Edes back a bit, as if trying to escape the suffocating presence that had suddenly appeared and Melan. After a minute of struggling, the pressure eased up and Cody quickly found that he could stand again and was mostly out of harm's way.

"Ugh... where's Pepper?" he muttered, scanning the beach for his friend. He couldn't leave him behind as well and to become fish food or target practice for the blue haired kid. He already knew how horrible it was to run around avoiding something, but his opponent was Ary with a nerf gun that was ice cold and soaked with icy water.

Melan turned and gave Pepper a bit of a hurt look, "I brought you guys here so we could go fishing, just wanted for us to have fun was all." He told him, giving a soft sigh, "I am stopped Torekane from attacking... but you know, if you don't trust me I can always step aside and you can see if you will fair better." He offered Pepper.

He did move though, instead he turned to look up toward the large creature. The creature was rather pretty wasn't it, it was all brightly colored, and those strange wiggling, glimmering lures on his head made him appear as something that he rather like... he tempted to keep this one to himself but a more interesting idea popped to mind and a smirk spread across his lips as he knelt down, reaching into the water to grab up a fish. He lifted it up in his hand by the tail and swung it from side to side. It didn't take long at all for the demon in front of them to suddenly become somewhat hypnotized by the item and Melan tossed it to him, watching as the creature's mouth snapped closed around it and the fish was swallowed as though it were nothing.

"Hrm... you know, I have a really good idea. It would help in everyone getting out unscathed too. Want to help me out with it, Pepper? I promise if you do I can tell you something very interesting about your parents." He said, giving a devious sort of smirk as he reached down to grab up another fish and tossed it to Pepper, "Come on Edes, Cody... we should get going quickly."

As the fish flew toward him Torekane's eyes were locked on it and the creature's long, blue tongue came out to lick over his lips in a hungry manner and he started after that fish. Despite the fact that he was surrounded by a lake full of fish his eyes were on the one that was sitting there right in his sight.

Cody blinked as Edes just suddenly seemed to break down, sobbing and shaking uncontrollably. That scared him greatly and he couldn't help but wrap his arms and wings around his friend protectively. "Edes, shh... You're doing enough back here. If you tried to help, they would worry about you and hurt themselves," he muttered, hoping to calm him down. Cody absolutely HATED it to see Edes so scared and upset and wished he could make him feel better...

As Melan suggested that they should leave, Cody quickly nodded and pulled his wings back slightly so Edes could see a little more. "Yeah... We should leave..." he echoed, his hate and suspicion of the little blue-haired brat surfacing once again. He was the one who put them into such danger; he was the one that scared and upset Edes and put Pepper at risk of being devoured. That was definitely NOT acceptable by him and the sooner they got away from him, the better.

Melan gave a little nod at Pepper's words, "Of course, I rather like Edes and Cody isn't so bad either even if he isn't to friend so why would I want to see them get hurt?" He asked, turning around so that he could pick out where the a fore mention spawn were at. He gave a nod before he smiled, "Ready, set, go!" With that Melan rushed forward at a quickened pace, anyone near to him would be able to ear the sound of wing beats despite the fact that he so obviously didn't have any wings. He was running right for Cody and Edes, shoving his way between them if only so he could grab onto their wrists to drag them forward in a beeline toward the dimensional rift that he could see... though if they could see it or not he wasn't to sure.

"Pepper, Torekane, and I are heading to the Labs, you might want to just call for your parents to come and get you. I don't want you to get into anymore trouble with us... maybe we can try to do something more calm the next time, something with less giant demons. Sound good?" He came to a slidding halt, dared to give each of his 'friends' a kiss on their cheeks before they were thrown through the gate.

They would land on the other side in a heap but would be otherwise unharmed from their little adventure. From there Melan spun around to check on Pepper next, to make sure that he hadn't been eaten.

Torekane was a bit more sluggish then he would like to admit when it came to running on the land, he found it harder to sense things, smell things, and see things without the water around him but despite that he still pursued the red and purple, slightly blurred form that was the kid with the fish. He wasn't sure what happened to the other three but the oppressive aura that had held him back had lessened which made it so he could move again. Damn little brat. He would eat him after he ate the fish and the one carrying it he told himself.

Cody barely managed to keep up without falling over himself or being completely dragged the entire way. He couldn't help but feel somewhat angered at blue hair for allowing Edes to get hurt. Without actually acknowledging it, the spawn took on Pepper's name for Melan since he didn't want to use his real name.

And he kissed his cheek. Ugh, that was absolutely disgusting on far too many levels. First, he disliked blue-hair with a passion; second, he REALLY didn't like being kissed outside of family and special friends; third, ew.

"Augh... Edes?" Cody muttered, glancing over at his friend as he cried out for the creepy kid that had just dumped them off back where they had been previously. "EDES!" he gasped and was instantly at his side in an attempt to comfort the poor thing. "Shh... Edes... What's-Wait, where's Pepper?"

Dang it, he was still with that kid on the other side of the portal.

Torekane seemed momentarily distracted by the cheese that was chucked his way, turning his heading to follow it, gulping it up and its tongued slipped out to lick at its maw. That wasn't to bad it though, moving over to where Pepper had picked the cheese up, sniffing around the area before he snapped up the plant life that had cheese and the cheese scent still sticking to it and swallowed it all down before recalling the fish, "Fissshesss." He hissed out before he turned to move along after Pepper, moving a bit quicker wanting on all fours in his attempt to catch up with the two boys.

Melan gave a giggle as Torekane was distracted for a moment, giving Pepper some time to escape. He waited for his friend to catch up before he gave a smile, "Come on, come on!" He called out before he motioned to his friend.

Cody smiled and hugged Edes gently and holding him upright at the same time. For once, he was kind of glad Melan was with Pepper as he seemed to have enough power to hold off whatever had tried to eat them. "Yeah, I'm sure they are; Pepper's tough and Melan... I don' know what's up with him, but he did keep that fish thing from eating us somehow jus' by standing there," he replied softly.

The spawn couldn't help yawning as he glanced around for a place to sit. It would be a while till his mom came to pick him up WHEN he managed to call her; yet he was pretty damned sure Edes wouldn't leave until Pepper and Melan emerged from the strange portal entrance safe and sound. "Come, let's go sit on the bench over there," he muttered, gently tugging the sloth spawn over to the fairly old looking bench underneath a tree.
