Des stood and crushed Zhori to him in a hug. "Zhori! That song was amazing! Where do you learn it?"
"Oh, this world I was on a few years back."
"And what about that instrument. I've never seen anything like it. You were using such an unusual picking technique."
"I picked that one up here," Zhori said, laughing. "I'll let you play it later. You'll probably pick it up far faster than I did. But...for now. What are you doing here? Who're you friends?"
She grinned slightly and sidled over to take a seat beside Asaiyo.
Des lifted an eyebrow. "This is Asaiyo, a snooty princeling from somewhere or other. And this is Angela. She's..." He frowned. "Well, her father is one of the seven princes so I guess that makes her a princess...."
Angela made a face. "Not that I care..."
Zhori laughed. "Well you're an odd one aren't you?"
"I'm half Celestial. We're odd by definition." She looked at Asaiyo. "You're awfully quiet over there."

"I was dazzled by the song." He blurted in response, mostly he just had no idea what to say. The Waitress came back with some bread and overheard the last bits of the conversation.
"Ah, I thought so, you guys work for the Crown? Well that is terrific, we used to be an underground part of the Resistance in this resteraunt you know. Now that the war is over we can act normally around folks like you for a change." She smiled and walked off.
"Ms Zhori, you wouldn't happen to know anything as to what she was talking about do you?" He asked, really confused.

"Really?" Zhori asked, grinning. "Thank you, Asaiyo. I'm glad you liked it."
"As for that--well, I can't say I know the entire story. Apparently though, a few years back there was some sort of dictator in place but he was recently over thrown by a rather loved red haired upstart or some such thing. Most of the restaurants like this one were involved in his resistance."
She drummed her fingers on the table in a slightly bored manner. "You may have noticed, given the color of your hair, that red heads are treated a bit special. They tend to assume we're royals. Apparently most red heads were killed by the afore mentioned dictator."

"It's always the red heads," Angela said laughing. "No one ever appreciates those of us with my hair color."

"That sort of makes sense. Yes, it was a treat to watch... Makes whatever the hell sucked us here almost worth it." Asaiyo called a waitress to bring a chair over for Zhori.
"The Anthea has your color, are you her relative?" The waitress asked Angela in curiousity.

"Just almost?" Zhori teased. "I feel like I should be offended at that."
"Come on," Des said. "Given how grumpy he usually is, that was a fairly significant compliment."

"The who?" Angela asked, a bit surprised. "Ah...no. No I'm not. As far as I know. I don't know who half my relatives are anyway."

When I can pulverize whoever is responsible for our 'vacation', then it will fully be worth it." Asaiyo crossed his arms.
The waitress looked shocked. "The Anthea! "
Asaiyo realized they'd made a mistake. "She's tired." He told the shocked lady. "Can we have the bill?"
"It's on the house for friends of Zhori." She grinned and left for the last time.

Angela kicked Asaiyo under the table. "Screw you," she snapped, annoyed about his 'she's tired' remark. It sounded so...so...patronising. "I don't give a damn if these people realize I'm not from here so you can bloody well bite me!"
"Whoa, calm down there," Des said. "We just don't want to draw attention to ourselves yet. There's no reason to get upset."

Zhori laughed slightly and leaned on her elbows. "The Anthea is an extremely powerful figure here. She has hair the color of yours. You might get asked that again so you should probably be prepared."

"Did it occur to you that telling them we're from another world here could be like declaring it on Earth? We have no idea how they'll react." Asaiyo glared, "this place sounds unstable already... we'd only add to it."
He got up, a bit annoyed. "Are you coming with us Zhori?"

Riddic pocketed his hands and sighed. It was bad enough Ares had to shove into some world he knew nothing about. He kept thinking back to what he said, "Observation is the key to success." What did that mean? What was he supposed to observe?
All he saw was that it was rather dark, and people were walking by. Riddic found a wall and leaned against it. Maybe if he just waited long enough, the answer to his problems would just walk right by and that would be the end of that. Hopefully.

"Pfft," Angela said, waving her hand. "People every where freak out a bit when they learn something like that. It hasn't really stopped me from telling them before. I didn't ask to be thrown here so I'm not going to tip toe around just because someone decided to interfere in my life again."
She stood, glaring right back.

Zhori watched the two of them and laughed. "Your friends are interesting Des," she said as she stood. She grinned at Asaiyo. "Since you asked, I think I will. It'll be fun to see what trouble you three get yourselves into."

Des chuckled. "I'd say that we're going to try to avoid trouble but....somehow I get the feeling that won't be so easy with these two."

Asaiyo glared, he didn't say what he was thinking, which was what Zensekai would've probably done.
"I have a feeling trouble is an understatement." He said to the girl and did an "after you gesture." He barged out of the building after Des's sister and was powerwalking back to their hotel in grumpiness.

Zhori smirked and headed out of the restaurant. These people were amusing. Quite amusing.
She very nearly had to jog after Asaiyo, who had the most amusing expression. He looked so grumpy. She had the urge to reach up and ruffle that spiked hair of his just to see what he would do.

Des shook his head and followed the two of them while Angela came after them all more slowly.
Asaiyo just had this...way of pissing her off. Quickly.
She was trying to decide if she should apologize or just let him get over being pissy by himself when a bit off red off to her right caught her eye. She paused, spotting another red head leaning against the way. She thought about what Zhori had said about red heads being royals.
Which meant he was probably important--he was dressed a bit differently from everyone else though, which was odd.
Hmm...
She glanced after the others and then shifted directions, heading for the red head. Well, she didn't mind talking to people and asking weird questions one bit.

Riddic sighed, shifting his position slightly, when he noticed someone coming toward him. A woman with white hair. That generally meant 'not human' back in his world, but he wasn't there. He was here. Deciding to be polite, Riddic straightened up and asked first, "Do you need me for something?"

Angela stopped a few feet away from the man who was eyeing her suspiciously and shrugged slightly, giving him what she hoped was a cute and disarming smile. "I...didn't really need you for anything. I just noticed you're dressed differently than everyone else. It caught my eye."
She held out a hand to him. Well, maybe if she could get him to touch her, she could sense a bit more about him. Because she suddenly realized he didn't feel anything like the other people around. "I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Angela."

Riddic flashed a smile back, taking her hand (only after a moment's hesitation) and shaking it. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Riddic," he replied, then glanced down at himself. "You are quite correct, but why should such a thing matter?"
