I wouldnt call the Yukari-one grimdark at all.. id call it EPICNESS.
Tho, Im not entirely sure Yukari killed her, it was just hinted. Yukari of all people knows its a bad thing to KILL KILL the shrine maiden of the Hakurei shrine, she herself set up the spell card duel system to deal with that.

I was going to ask if this was really still Gensokyo we were talking about, but then I saw that amazing Yukari video and realized the demon kappas were just abominations that Yukari hasn't felt like dealing with yet.

And plus, since i have a skill much like Marisa's* i should be able to hold my own quite nicely.
*I can mimic fighting arts and other things with a 5% chance of error.
