She nodded slightly listening to his explanation before reaching over to take a look at the book, wrinkling her brow and taking time to look at the diagram. Nodding slightly she set the book down to the side, "hmm, alright I think I have the basic idea. Since there seem to be a few uses for it I get the impression that it can be performed in various fashions."

She grinned slightly at his suggestion, "I might take you up on that...depending of course -" smiling slightly she didn't finish the sentence but backed up and looked to Khamsyn. "So how are we going to do this?"

Khamsyn nodded, there were indeed many different ways to execute a trip attack. He mused as to which they should focus on at first and decided basic was best. "Alright, we'll start with a simple double-leg takedown style trip. It's a little more obvious, but usually if you hit, it takes the opponent down easier. If you get that as quickly as you have some of the other moves, we can move on to a sweep style trip." He smiled, his mind occasionally darting to what was on the horizon for later. He moved to stand before her stiff legged. "Okay, this is pretty simple. Just get low, dart forward aiming for my legs and try to knock me on my butt. You have to hit with enough force to unbalance me, but not too much or you'll end up sprawled out as well. It won't be helpful if both you and your opponent are on the ground, you need to end up still on your feet."

Nodding thoughtfully Belwen looked over at Khamsyn considering how she would proceed, "alright then lets do this." Moving over in front of him she took on a comfortable stance, "ready then?" Once she got the nod, she dropped down using her hands to keep herself balanced as she kicked out attempting to knock Khamsyn's legs out from under him.

She then jerks her leg back to bring herself back to her own feet, although a bit wobbly.

Khamsyn was expecting her to try and tackle his legs, since that is what he had meant, so when she kicked at his legs instead he had a spilt second of surpise. He might have still been able to react in time to dodge, but what would that do? He had never had any intention of tryign to avoid the trip. So, he let his legs be knocked out from underneath him and just tried to land without breaking himself. The ground was hard, but he was expecting it to be. With a little chuckle, he looked up at Belwen. "Good. A little unexpected, but good."

Wincing some at Khamsyn's fall she leaned down and crawled over toward him looking a bit concerned, "Was going for a bit of a mix up..." wrinkles her brow a bit looking apologetic. "I'm just glad you didn't hit your head," smiling a little she moves to rest back on her legs still crouched down close to Khamsyn, "did you want to try it on me this time? Or," a mischievous grin came to her face, "I could just tackle you this time."

Although not fully up she did offer her hand over to help Khamsyn get himself more upright. Her bones still ached and she was getting plenty tired but Belwen was glad for how the day had gone she had come a long way with learning.

Accepting her outstretched hand, Khamsyn got to his feet. He was still was chuckling as he did so. Dusting himself off, he got back into position in front of her. "Actually, I think you have the idea. But if you wanna try it a few more times, I'm willing to take the hit. I don;t think I need to try it on you, since you already jumped my earlier attempt." He smiled and nodded confidently, a twinkle in his eye. "You can try and tackle me this time actually, but I'll be defending this time. See if you can take down someone when they're trying to stay on their feet."

Belwen pulled herself up as Khamsyn did still smiling, she found herself watching him for a long moment and then realized she still had ahold of his hand before letting go. Taking in a deep breath to clear her mind she nodded, "alright a bit more of a challenge would be nice anyways."

She gave a moment for Khamsyn to get into position, "alright..." a bit of a grin came to her face, "a tackle this time." Winking once to Khamsyn she then used her feet to propel herself forward attempting to tackle his legs out from under him.

Knowing it was coming was a plus, but that didn't mean Khamsyn could instantly and easily avoid her trip attempt. As she darted forward, he tried to sidestep out of the way. Unfortunately, he was either too distracted or seriously underestimated her speed and tendacity. Either way, he found himself flat on his butt again, this time having the wind knocked from his lungs. Gasping for a second to get his breath, he flashed a thumbs up to her. "Perfect." He croaked.

She rocked back on her heels finding her footing again, but seeing Khamsyn fall to his back she crawled back over and propped herself over him so she could look down. Wincing sympathetically she spoke, "are you alright? Do you need help up?"

She hadn't meant to hurt him of course and felt pretty bad over the whole tripping thing. The situation was somewhat reversed from before...now she wanted to make everything better.

Khamsyn just lay there, flat on his back, looking up at her. "I'm fine... just enjoying the view." He said with a grin, hiding the fact that his tailbone had been jarred and was sending a dull ache up his spine. He was very proud of Belwen's ability to learn this stuff as fast as she had, but was a tad embarrassed that he failed to dodge as badly as he had. Still, this was training. It was okay in training. Not so good in a duel though. "Seriously, I'll be okay after a warm bath and some rest." He raised an eyebrow, wordlessly reminding Belwen of their previous talk.

Chuckling with a bit of relief at his suggestion, she leaned down and gave him a quick kiss before pulling herself up to her feet. Once standing Belwen offered Khamsyn a hand up. "After that tumble I think I'm going to owe you a bit of pampering as well; though I'm not sure how good my massaging skills would be."

Watching Khamsyn another moment she considered what would happen in the next few hours after the training she actually had a bit of free time. A bit of nervousness passed through her but she didn't dwell on it. She was keen though that she would get a shower before too much more happened. "...I very much need to get cleaned up. So a bath or shower is our next stop..." shifting slightly Belwen looked to Khamsyn and grinned slightly, "lead on then."

Khamsyn gladly accepted the hand up since he was a bit stiff from his aching spine. Although it was starting to feel better already, but he wouldn't let Belwen know that immediately. Especially if he got a bit of pampering out of the deal. "Trust me, compared to some of the stuff you learned here today, massage is a cakewalk. You just have to rub the right places." It took a second to realize what he just said and what it sounded like, but he didn't care. Not at this point. The time for coy innuendo was trying to a close.

It was is turn to hold out a hand as he smiled warmly, his skin already starting to flush. "Well, I don't know if my bathtub is big enough for two, but I'm willing to try." He winked at her, knowing that in a few more minutes the nervousness would kick in, so he tried to be as smooth as he could now to make up for it. He had no idea how much rest was on the horizon, but he didn't care. He really cared for Belwen and he'd do anything he could to make her feel special. He sure hoped he could make her feel special.
