Dhiren blinked and looked around with a baffled expression for a few moments before it dawned on him. Placing a hand to his head, the tom sighed to himself. They actually did that here? "Oi, what was I thinking...?" He mumbled to himself, cross as he thought about the Siberian that would surely know of their antics. When Alice climbed back onto the bed with him and cuddled against his stomach again, he raised his hand from his face and blinked down at her. The tone of her sudden question made his ears perk up. "What.... do you mean?" His voice was slightly hesitant; did she really not remember? Something warm and wet dripped against his bare skin and soaked into the sheets in his lap, eliciting a surprised hiss from the tom cat. "O-oi! Are you crying?!" Now more than a little freaked out by the mood shift, Dhiren's voice raised a couple decibels. Cautiously catching himself, he grunted and put a hand on her head, "... Why? Why are you crying now? You know what we did, right?" Surely she couldn't not know! Dhiren blinked again a few times; the way she reacted, she must have known what they were doing! Still the question tangled nervous, uncertain knots in his stomach. Suddenly, he felt as if he had done something awful.

Completely dumbfounded now, Dhiren could only stare at her helplessly as she pulled away from him and curled up miserably by herself. He didn't have a clue to why she seemed so... frightened and depressed, but that knot in his stomach only tightened as he watched her. Slowly, the tom relayed the events of the previous day back to himself. Everything seemed in order; they fought, she ran off and got herself in trouble, he rescued her, Aidan brought them here, then they made up. He couldn't see the problem. Unless... the Somali tom groaned inwardly; he was a complete idiot after all.

"Alice.. look..." He began in a soft, gentle growl, "I'm... I'm sorry if you weren't ready... for that." Pulling his ears back, Dhiren glared down at his still-naked-but-covered form. "You must feel completely disgusted with me... For me to have turned around and done exactly what I chased that other guy off for attempting." That had to have been it. She felt used; every guy was only out for the same thing, right?

Guilty, the tom's amber gaze rose to rest on Alice's bowed head. "Still, this does change things a little..." He cleared his throat and glanced towards the closed door to their room momentarily before continuing, "You asked me to trust you... Well, you need to trust me as well. Just because we... mated... doesn't mean I'm going to leave you. I told you that; I won't be going anywhere unless you chase me off or kill me."

Flicking his tail pensively, Dhiren blinked and looked back over at the female before him, "If anything... Last night only makes things more certain. Think of it like a promise." A small, endearing smile spread across his face, and he leaned forward, pulling the woman back towards him and holding her head against his chest. His heart still thumped against his ribs anxiously, and guilt flashed in his gaze again as he held her. Slowly, the tom had realized an important detail that had been lost in the excitement of their... activities. His hand brushed down her back gently and he growled softly down at her, "You're... not hurting too much... are you?"

Feeling her stiffen in his embrace before pushing herself away from him made Dhiren's stomach drop. He watched her sit back and stare up at him, and yet, not exactly at him. The tom's mind was in chaos; he couldn't understand exactly what was going on with her, this was certainly the weirdest she had been since he knew her. "That promise... meant... it means that I intend to stay with you." He tried to make sense of her confusion, but it wasn't working at all. He met her eyes worriedly when she finally looked back at him, and he opened his mouth, thinking about what to say to her. "Alice... I don't know what's going on with you right now... But.. You don't have to worry about me. I'm going to stay with you." He gripped at the sheets in his lap anxiously and pushed forward, his voice nearly breaking with the persistent thought that he had done a great injustice to the female. "I can be patient... I want you, Alice. I'll... do what I can to help you."

Dhiren just watched uncertainly as the female of his kind crawled back into his lap again. He held his ears forward, listening to her as she talked and cradled his head in her delicate hands. Living among all those humans at the university put the tom's fur on end, but, staring into the emotion-filled golden gaze of Alice, of his chosen, he decided he would just have to deal with it. His jaw twitched slightly as it set and his eyes held determined. "If that's where you need to stay, then I'll go with you." Tilting his head a little in her hands, the Somali tom grinned, "I may not be very good at any of this creative arts stuff, but I'm sure I'll be able to find something useful to do." Still not sure what to expect from the woman, Dhiren's tail began to twitch pensively. Hesitantly, he wrapped his arms around her again. "I'll stay by your side while you figure things out, okay?" He asked quietly, "Do what you feel you have to, but.. don't leave me in the dark about this stuff. You worried me..."

Dhiren's fur tingled when she suddenly went back to her normal, affectionate self, and he smiled. His eyes lit up eagerly at the thought of leaving the Kokitsu base. "It's about time we got on the same page concerning this place." He grunted, despite being excited to leave. When she pulled away from him again, he let his eyes travel around the room curiously. "Where did my clothes end up...?" His tail flicked and he crawled out of the bed, abandoning the sheets that had been concealing him as he searched, "...Did you see them when you got your dress...?" His mood was immediately lightened. Once they got out of this place, all would be well again. Being seen in public with the female was even more favorable than staying in the unfamiliar, yet memorable room.

Oblivious to the effect his shameless actions were having on the woman, Dhiren cursed under his breath and continued looking for his clothes. "Did they get tossed over here...? s**t I don't remember... When did my pants even get taken off?" The tom straightened and glanced over his shoulder as Alice hugged him. Even though he couldn't see her well from his vantage, he could feel the immense heat radiating from her body against his bare skin. His face flushed a little, and he blinked with a blank stare when she turned and walked away, revealing the location of his clothes with a wink. Letting one ear flop to the side at her exit, Dhiren bent over to peer under the bed; sure enough, his clothes sat in a wrinkled, discarded pile.

The somali male retrieved them and grinned to himself; she did that on purpose. Her voice came through the door again as she yowled at the waiting cats outside, the significance of them making his face grow increasingly warmer instantly. Aha... That was what happened after all.

Alice had been in heat the whole time. Suddenly everything made sense. Dhiren shook his head and pulled on his wrinkled garments; he really was an idiot to not have realized sooner. Fully dressed now, and with hair still messy from their night together, the orange tom opened the door, stepping out behind Alice to face the meddlesome cats. "Oi, where's that a** who brought us here?" He growled, looking at the lot with disinterest, "We're leaving."

Just in case there was lingering doubt in any of the other cats' minds, Dhiren brought his arm down over the female's shoulders, hugging her as she leaned into him. He met the guard's gaze evenly, lifting his ears up at the information as he accepted the letter. "That b*****d actually has his own woman, eh?" He glanced at the letter briefly, wondering at its contents, then grinned down at Alice and closed his hand around hers. "Sounds good. Let's get out of here..." His eyes glinted with mischief. Ignoring the cats who were still loitering in the hall, the two Somali cat's left, their exit worlds different from how they came in.
