Linc carried Kat onto the boat, setting her down before heading to the controls. He started whistling as he began starting up the boat. "I thought you'd be giving me more trouble with all of this, Rook, considering rumors on your character. It's nice to see the majority of those were misplaced." He conveniently kept his back to most everyone.

Linc shook his head, "Nah, Mate, you wouldn't be. Council can be hard on backsliders, and those who assist them." He took the boat out to sea, the docks and any observers getting further and further away. "Go to the back and slit the man's threat, would you, Rook? He looks more trouble than fun."

Rook stepped toward the back of the boat, one of his fingers shifting into a long knife/ He kneeled down, leaning close to his ear. "Now's the chance." He whispered, resting his knife-finger on his throat.

Jeffery already had his hands loose when Rook came back, but he gave him enough benefit of a doubt to wait for his word. Jeffery stood up hard, bringing his shoulder under Rook's chin fast.

Linc heard the noise, but stayed at the wheel, not bothering to head to the deck to see what all was going on. He assumed it was Rook beating Jeffery up for a little fun before he killed him.

Rook stumbled back, and whispered to Jeff.
"Run up and get him. He's at the wheel." And promptly stumbled over the rail of the boat.

Das Steube Rook stumbled back, and whispered to Jeff. "Run up and get him. He's at the wheel." And promptly stumbled over the rail of the boat. "Thanks." Jeffery muttered, considering helping him over, but instead quickly moved up to the front, throwing a sharp jab at Lincoln's kidney, snatching to hook Linc's other arm behind his back.

Lincoln let out a pained noise at the kidney punch, the hook to his arm easily successful. He wasn't a fighter without his powers, always relying on weakening his enemies to a disadvantage before taking advantage. "Son of a b***h." He managed to mutter.

Ruby St.Claire Lincoln let out a pained noise at the kidney punch, the hook to his arm easily successful. He wasn't a fighter without his powers, always relying on weakening his enemies to a disadvantage before taking advantage. "Son of a b***h." He managed to mutter. "Yeah. Stay away from her." He gave him another jab to the side, walking and throwing him off the boat. He quickly moved back to where Kat was. "The boat's ours. How are you doing?"

Kat was playing limp in the seat where Linc had left her. She opened her eyes and let out a grunt. "Told you not to call the cops." She followed her harsh words with a half smile, softening it some.
She glanced down at her wound, "It looks like I need a doctor."

"Yeah, no kidding." He grunted. "Just try to keep pressure on it, I'll get us to land quickly and find you a doctor or something." He headed back to the front, turning the boat around towards the dock.

ED assumed that after they'd dumped Rook and Linc the boat had been driven a fair amount away from them so that they couldn't climb back into it.
"The docks will get you both killed, if the keepers are still guarding it as they were earlier," Roxanna pulled herself up onto the boat, having climbed up on a side ladder while the boat was stationary. She was still dripping wet. "I can get her to a private physician within a few minutes." If Jeffery had been watching the news lately or reading the newspaper he might recognize the recently widowed Roxanna.
