Seamus finally reached the other boy when he stopped and stared at him. He furrowed his brow and almost self consciously, ran a hand through his dark hair. It can't be my hair. It's never my hair. It's always fabulous. Placated by his hair's ability to remain fabulous no matter how long he'd been outside, he shrugged.
Leaning a little towards Felix, Seamus put a hand alongside his mouth, to block his words from being read. In a stage whisper he revealed, "Between you and me, I happen to know there is a group of Slytherin girls who practice Quidditch out here, more than a few attractive, although some..and certainly if I left now for class I would be early, or worse on time. I try to never be on time to class. Hard to make a dramatic entrance!" And hard to pick up ladies if they'd chosen to follow along as he'd hoped. Everything happens for a reason though.
(Welcome back! )

I'm Not Some Cry Baby! I'm Just Over Emotional Alot... But Don't Count Me Out! I'll Surprise You All Yet...
Felix wasn't sure what to do when Seamus leaned in to him. He cupped his hand like he was going to tell Felix a secret, so Felix too leaned in. He felt odd for doing so, but if Seamus wanted to tell him a secret, Felix wanted to hear it. "G-girls!?" Felix squeaked, jumping away from Seamus. Of course it was girls on Seamus' mind. And worse, he was doing it to avoid going to class.
Felix winced. "B-but Seamus... Their Slytherin girls... They just taunt me..." Felix whimpered the words, already imagining it. "You wouldn't want to be seen with me..." Felix tried to explained to Seamus. "Besides, I was just going to practice... And you aren't even on the Qudditch team..." Suddenly it clicked together with the words spoken out loud. Seamus was using Felix as an excuse for his going to the pitch. Felix sighed, defeated. So cruel... His mind told Seamus cause he couldn't speak the words out loud.

Felix leaped away from Seamus, making the older boy jump. Clutching at his shirt, he began to chuckle. "Bloody hell man. Of course girls! You can't go around shouting like that! You're liable to kill me!" Seamus exhaled heavily and began adjusting his Slytherin tie, regaining composure. He continued to fiddle with it while Felix explained his reaction.
When the boy ran out of excuses, or air Seamus looked up. "The only Slytherin girl that I care about her thoughts is Morgan Dalca, and that's because she scares the wits out of me." He actually looked sheepish, it wasn't a topic he liked to touch on. She was a girl after all. But she was a girl who wouldn't have any qualms about eating Seamus' beating heart in front of him, or something equally disfiguring and a little gross.
Well if you don't want me to walk this way. It's not like I can't see the girls any other day." He eyed his watch, mentally planning out his route to class. He was trying not to be put out, but surprisingly he was. It wasn't often he got on with a guy and although Felix was less than manly at times, it still counted.

"No, no, no, no!" Felix flailed quickly, waving his hands wildly in front of him to try and convince Seamus not to leave. He really liked having Seamus around. His heart raced in his chest and he found himself blushing again. He was acting foolish. He was probably just going to make Seamus want to leave more. It made Felix want to cry.
Felix sniffled a little. "Please don't leave, Seamus... I didn't mean I didn't like you being around... I just don't want to bring you down with me... I'm not much of a ladies man...." Felix mumbled in explaination. He looked back up to Seamus and took a deep breath. "Will you still come with me to the Quidditch pitch?" Felix asked softly.

"No, no, no, no!" Seamus looked back to the Hufflepuff, in time to catch the full force of his wild arm flapping. It reminded Seamus vaguely of a sort of wild bird. It was amusing enough, then he sniffled. "Oi there, s'alright. Keep your robes on." Feeling uncomfortable, he shifted on his feet. He still wasn't sure why Felix had made such a deal about them walking, but Seamus wasn't going to be the one to make him cry about it. He'd never made people cry, mostly. And never a guy. It made him feel awkward, and he didn't like awkward.
Seamus shook the hair out of his eyes."Yeah well.. I guess we aren't all blessed with my charms, yeah? You've just gotta loosen up a bit! You're... wound a bit tight." That seemed nice enough. He started walking, silently assenting to Felix's question. "Do you practice with the whole team?"

"Stay out of trouble, Seamus? You act as if I go looking for it." It was all she had managed to chirp out before he turned and left, following after Felix. She felt slightly inclined to follow after them, but decided otherwise. She was too tired to want to have to deal with Felix's eccentricities, and Seamus managed to bother her every time he looked her way. It had been an extreme battle of will not to slap him when he sent that once-over look at her the same way he did the night before. And then she was left alone, in a familiar place with people she didn't want to be around. Biting down on her lower lip, she shuffled a bit awkwardly, before snapping her fingers. "Right. I've just forgotten something that needs to be done in the library. Lovely meeting you all." It wasn't, but it was polite. Pulling her bag up off the ground, she set off at a quick pace towards the school, not bothering to look back.
[[Wanted to make a quick post of her leaving. xP]]

Felix nodded to Seamus' comment about him just be wound too tight. It seemed logical. But Felix was still sure he wouldn't be any help in Seamus' search for pretty girls. Felix just didn't want to see Seamus leave yet. He really had grown attacked the older Slytherin.
Felix started walking again slowly, careful of where he stepped. He didn't want to fall face first. Out of the corner of his eye he saw something move in the bushes. Felix stopped and looked back to Seamus who clearly hadn't seen anything. "Most of the time I practice with the whole team, but right now I'll be the only Hufflepuff on the field..." Felix told Seamus. It was probably better that way any way.
Suddenly a brown fur ball shot out from the bushes. It pounced onto Seamus' shoes, then quickly away to Felix. Felix squeaked until he realized it was only Snickers coming to take his normal place back on Felix's shoulder.

"Do you practice with any girls then?" Not that all Quidditch players were his type. No good having an overly athletic woman in his life. "Or maybe..." Seamus didn't get a chance to finish his question as a flash of brown slid across the ground and onto his shoes.
Gah was the only coherent thought as he stumbled, trying to rid himself of the puff. The thing was already gone, moving towards Felix's head. Quickly, Seamus righted himself and shot a dark look at the Hufflepuff. "That thing needs a harness. Or a box." There was a mark on his dark dress shoe, almost invisible to the naked eye. Seamus reached down moodily and rubbed at it with his palm. Bloody better be pretty girls on the pitch too, new shoes, flying rodent..

(( sorry for the wait! btw, love the 'flying rodent' lol ))
Felix blushed. He'd never thought of the girls on his team as more than his team. If he did, he probably wouldn't be able to talk them. He couldn't afford to be distracted. He had the most important job on the team. Felix pushed the thoughts away, thankful that Seamus didn't push the point. But it didn't take Felix long to figure out why he hadn't.
Snickers sat on his shoulder and Felix petted the small ferret. "How about just a leash?" Felix questioned in a whisper. He lifted the ferret from his shoulder and put him on the ground. "Room..." He said, sternly. It was one of the few times Felix actually had strength to his voice. Snickers circled then ran back towards the castle. Felix could only hope for the best. He looked back at Seamus and pouted. "Please don't be upset, Seamus... He didn't mean it..."

Arabelle soon found herself alone. "See you later!" she quickly called to Anna as she left for the library. She stood in her spot a brief moment, shuffling her feet before remembering the book she still held in her hands, her place marked by her finger between the pages. Deciding it was not a good idea to stand there as if she was lost, She quickly retreated to a nice shady spot under a nearby tree and began to read once more.
((Leaves her open for anyone who feels like bugging her, I suppose...))

It was near the middle of classes, and, as usual, Famine had nothing to do until his next class. There wasn't much for him to do, really, and most of the people he decided to follow around usually told him to shove off. And then they would shove him, which overall didn't make him happy, and usually just made him run right into walls. His mother had suggested for him to go outside when the restlessness over took him badly enough, and for the first time since he could remember, he followed the advice. He scurried outside, darting about with his hands in a gun shape, pretending to be like that one guy in that one movie he saw on the tele. He rolled once, before laying flat on his stomach, eyes peering over the grass for an interesting target. Crawling foreword, he noticed a Ravenclaw girl reading underneath a shady tree, and with a wild grin, he stood, darting around quickly and scaling the tree as quietly as he could. Checking the nearest branch, he crawled out onto it, ignoring the way that it bent slightly towards the ground. He was much more interested in trying to read the book, which he found had too small of a print for him to read. He crawled foreword a little more. Right around the time he did that, the tree limb broke, and he plummeted down to Earth, a yard or so away from the Ravenclaw. Being flat on his back, he looked up towards her, a silly grin on his face. "Hi. Whatcha reading?"

Arabelle at first didn't notice Famine. She was once against sucked into the world of her book, and didn't notice anything going on around her. A Muggle marching band could've gone by and she still would have sat there reading peacefully. Though despite the loudness a marching band might pose, the simple crack of a branch and thud of a person hitting the ground would be enough to make her jump. And in fact, it did. Quickly she slipped a random leaf between the pages of her book to mark her spot while simultaniously standing. "Oh! Are you alright?" she asked him, her brows knitting together in worry. ((Hey, I don't think Elven Pirate/Tomoko is coming back to CoMC, so we may have to go on without her, which means its your turn to post there. ))

Famine wriggled around on the ground a bit until he was able to get into a position where he was able to stand up. It looked rather silly, but he was used to getting odd looks. Brushing off his robes and uniform, he nodded, red hair flying everywhere. Apparently in his fall, he had lost the rubber band he had tied his hair back with. "Oh yes. I've had much worse falls." he replied, the tone of his voice overly happy. As much as he didn't much like falling, at least he had someone to talk to now. Sorta. He opened his mouth to say something, but then shut it with a little click. The girl had never answered his question, and because of this, he was now staring at the book in her hand, eyes narrowing slightly.
[[Oh dang. D: I'll try to noodle something up.]]

Arabelle blinked, slightly put off by his cheeriness. But a giggle escaped her as his long hair flopped about. Quickly she scanned the ground and found a rubber band by her feet. Picking it up and handing it to him she said, "You sure? I mean...you seem..." She cut off, not wanting to say something that might offend him. Thankfully the look he was giving her book gave her a quick conversation switch and hopefully keep his mind off what she'd began to say. "Oh...it's Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet." At this she blushed crimson. It was an odd obbession she had with Shakespeare's plays; the very one she held she'd read at least five or six times.

Famine cocked his head to the side, trying to figure out why the girl in front of him had giggled. When she handed over the hair tie, he realized that that was probably why. Chirping a thank you, he took it from her hand and tied his hair back into a low pony tail quickly, used to doing so without a mirror around. "A bit what? Ditzy? Off? I get that all the time." he said, which was completely the truth. He just liked looking on the bright side of life. And there was always a joke running through his head...he couldn't really help it. His father believed it was something to do with his head, something about not connecting right. But he had his moments of clear thought, though....he always found that boring. The Ravenclaw girl must have noticed the fact that he had been staring at her book, as she answered his original question. His face went blank for a moment, before he was able to make a connection. "That's the love story, right? I've been meaning to read that one." he commented, smiling again as the girl blushed red. People always got nervous around him, and he couldn't fathom why.
