Now it was Ara's turn to be bright red and she was stuttering at this point. "I ... um ... I d... don't know. I g...guess th...that would be up to you t...to d...decide. But thank you." she said and she wasn't sure whether to feel sad or happy that he cared about her. Could this relationship actually go somewhere?

Roku sighed disappointed in himself. "Sorry...I really should drop that topic. It's just making us both nervous and I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable around me." He stretched out. "How about a race to take your mind off this?"

Ara smiled at him and licked his cheek. "Alright, but I have to warn you. I am pretty fast. Used to race my brother Celtic all the time." She stretched and got ready to start running when he said go.

Roku smiled and got ready to run. "Alright...on your marks...get set...go!" And with that he headed off in a rush. He was going pretty fast, but he wanted to go easy on Ara since he wanted to see how fast she could go.

Ara laughed at him as she easily kept up with his pace. "You know, if you keep trying to take it easy on me, you have no chance of seeing my true potential." And with that she began to slowly pull ahead, still pacing herself. She was glad for all that time racing her brother. It made her quick and smart in a race.

Roku eyed her while catching up to her and running beside her making sure not to pass. "Do you really want me to do that? I don't like going hard on girls."

Ara rolled her eyes. "Come on, I am not even close to breaking a sweat here. Make it fun for me." And with that she began pulling ahead once more, adding more speed to her run. She knew at this point that if he didn't start trying, he would eat the trail of dust behind her.

Roku shook his head before catching back up to her. "Alright then...if you must insist." He then suddenly stopped while noticing some vultures in the area. He stood still. "Somethings...dead..." He slinked off into the forest.

Ara stopped running and followed him into the forest. "Are you alright?" she asked, a little scared of what they might find in the forest. She had never really noticed the vultures before though she assumed they had been here. She had never had a reason to notice them before and she was worried about Roku.

Roku headed into the forest. He didn't answer Ara since he was so intent on finding what was dead. When he came up to it he found a dead fox there. He sighed. "It seems another one has died." He sat down on his haunches.

Ara gulped but sat down beside him. She was not used to dealing with the dead. "Are you alright?" she asked, knowing he had some issues with death. She wanted to help him if she could.

Roku sighed and shook his head. "I'm fine...it's just sad to see a fox like this." He looked at the fox that was dead. "The least we can do is give him a proper burial." He started sniffing for an area that would be appropriate before stopping near a lilac scented bush. "This place should be nice." He then proceeded to start digging a grave.

Ara was a little uncomfortable, being around the dead, but she went over to Roku and began to dig with him so that the grave would be done quicker and he didn't have to do all the work. "I wonder how he died?" she said to herself, not realizing that she had spoken aloud.

Roku sighed and shook his head. "Who knows...there are tons of ways it could of happened." He eventually picked up the fox while dragging him into the grave. He then covered him up with the dirt before rolling a rock close to the area. "There we go...now he has a proper burial." He knelt in a form of a prayer. He then opened his eyes after a while. "I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I don't want to hang around the dead for too long." He got up and headed towards the beach for some peace of mind.

Ara said a quick prayer for the dead and ran, easily catching up with him. "I understand. What you did beack there was a really nice thing though. I don't know if I would have thought of it or even done it if you had not been there. It's a sad fact, but true." she murmured, kind of ashamed of herself.
