By now time was flying for Kasiya as she handed out drinks and mingled among the crowds, obviously having quite a lot of fun. She'd gone and let Nova out of her Pokeball again once the crowd had fanned out a little, though she couldn't help but feel a little envious of all the girls in their beautiful gowns and dresses. Oh well, at least I can still say I had fun too, Kasiya thought, now sitting at an empty table while she had another small break. Nova was sitting up in the chair beside her munching on some strange meaty treat that Kasiya had picked up for her while her trainer munched on various cookies and sweets she'd grabbed for herself from the dessert table. It was about this time that she saw a strangely familiar girl somehow manage to trip herself up and practically fall onto a boy with deep purple hair, making him spill his drink all over himself. At the girl's side was a familiar Heracross and Kasiya stood up to get a better look. "No way, that can't be..." she mumbled, studying the auburn hair. "Many people have Heracross and it would be really stupid for Dante to have come to the Gala in a dress of all things," she told Nova as she sat back down. The Charmander simply smiled brightly at her trainer as she had no idea what Kasiya was going on about and she simply continued eating, her tail flame burning quite brightly. Kasiya had a sip of the very delicious chocolate milkshake she'd ordered and sighed happily. Despite everything that had happened she was enjoying herself and was glad she'd managed to come to the Gala, even if she was only there because of Cynthia's great ability to pull strings.
=-=-=-=-= It didn't take too long for Weedle to become acquainted with his new family, and within an hour or so it was as though he'd been with them for weeks. The Hairy Bug Pokemon was possibly the happiest Pokemon Jaeshan had ever met, and all four of his other Pokemon, even the mostly stoic Shelgon seemed to take a shine to him. The group spent several hours just goofing off and playing around on the beach and generally enjoying each other's company. It was getting close to suppertime when Jaeshan wandered back to shore after a fairly long and tiring swim, and he was just about to collapse on his beach blanket for a nice rest when Butterfree suddenly started to chatter loudly, something which she never did. "What is it, girl?" Jaeshan huffed, dropping to his knees as he struggled to regain his breath. Butterfree was fluttering over the water and pointing at something off in the distance with one of her hands, and though it wasn't easy Jaeshan got to his feet to try and have a better look.
"Is there something out there?" he asked, squinting hard as he tried to get a better look. The sun was at a horrible place in the sky, casting glaring reflections off the water's surface, and after a moment or two of searching Jaeshan was able to catch a glimpse of a bluish-something floating in the water. "I think it's a Pokemon," he mumbled, knowing it was too far away to attempt to scan it. "It's just floating there... I think it's in trouble!" He sprinted towards the water once again, looking over his shoulder as he did so. "Shelgon, Blaziken, watch out for Metang and Weedle, all right? Butterfree, fly out there and see if you can help it." Blaziken nodded, scooping up the tiny bug and placing him on her shoulder where he'd be safe. Shelgon merely gave Metang a look that clearly said "stay here or else" and the Iron Claw Pokemon hastily nodded before settling himself in the sand next to the dragon. Butterfree, meanwhile, had already flown out over half the distance towards the Pokemon in trouble, calling out words of encouragement. Jaeshan ran through the shallow water as far as he could before it got too deep and soon he was swimming powerfully through the cool blue waves. Hang on a little longer, he begged. I'll save you!
=-=-=-=-= Upon seeing the Growlithe take form in front of him, the Rattata quickly took up a defensive stance. Callum didn't appear to be worried when the order for an Ember attack was given, as he'd spent a lot of time raising his own Growlithe so he was quite familiar with their battle style. "Dodge it, please," he said, his voice not much louder than his regular speaking tone.
The mouse Pokemon crouched low to the ground and quickly scooted out of the way as the flames torched the grass in the place he'd just been standing. That had been too easy! "Hmm, this Rattata's pretty quick," Callum observed, impressed with the rodent. "That should make this battle quite interesting."

Mitsu's face flushed crimson again as he kissed her hand lightly, very much in a gentlemanly way. "See you in the morning," she managed to get out before he left. She return his wave slightly until she couldn't see him through the crowd anymore, thought that in itself took a bit longer than expected since he was such a tall boy. Feeling a bit sad about his departure she didn't move. She picked up another drink as a different waiter cleaned off her table. She could swear that the look he gave her made him think that she'd had one too many drinks, and the alcoholic kind at that. Mitsu smiled though he walked away quickly. Her new drink was another orange soda. She took a big gulp and once more it tasted a bit weird. Reasoning that the gala just had some funny tasting orange soda she took another sip.
I wonder how Sinnoh will be, what it'll look like, and what kinds of Pokemon there are. There must be so many. . . She yawned feeling a bit less in her senses than normal. Maybe it was later than she'd thought and maybe Kilik had the right idea by crashing for the night.
Karri on the other hand disagreed completely. She was having the time of her life at his gala! She felt light and airy and really, really happy. She draped her hand over a red head nearby slurring a "Hi there" before dancing off into the crowd. The boy sure looked familiar. . . but then again, everyone did! She hiccuped as she took another swig of the glass she held close to her with her Psychic powers. She laughed her musical laughter, though no one else could hear her. Tapping a blond waitress on the shoulder she asked, "Another drink please?" She laughed again, "Ohhoho, I know you don't I?" She giggled, still somehow capable of moving and acting serenely graceful all at the same time. She hadn't even noticed that the poor girl was on a break and she completely missed the adorable little Charmander as well.

Train was surprised when the attack didn't even graze the Rattata. "Huh, maybe I could've use another one of those on my team," She said as if having second thoughts, but winked and stuck her tongue out(since her bangs covered her right eye, it's not as if Callum would be able to tell she was winking, anyway)to show that she was kidding. When she saw that Callum wasn't going to command his Rattata to counter and appeared to be content with his Pokèmon's dodge, she spoke up again, this time with another command for her Growlithe. "Try to get it with a Bite, then!"
The Growlithe also seemed to be surprised, and disappointed, that his attack had missed, and gladly ran forward to try and take a bite out of the small purple mouse.+=+=+=+ Leon crossed his arms and stared the girl down, even though she obviously wasn't looking him in the face right now, as she'd bowed her head. He probably shouldn't have really cared about the suit getting wet so much, as it wasn't even really his and his parents would just wash it and return it in the morning anyways, but he had to wear it for the rest of the evening and he just didn't feel like going around with a Coke stain on it, seeing as how the shirt underneath was white and it would show up fairly bluntly.
He looked down at the Heracross as it moved it front of its trainer and glared right back at it, though somehow all the while managing to keep the bored air around him. At that moment, as Leon and the Heracross were having a glaring contest, Muuma appeared behind the Bug-type Pokèmon and let out an eery sound right in it's ear, as well as chilling the air around it a bit to make the presence seem even creepier. She tried to have on her scariest look so that when the Heracross turned to look at her, it'd be scared out of its wits.
Leon seemed aboslutely fine with this, as he didn't exactly like this trainer and her Pokèmon at the moment, and Muuma was just like that in general, anyway. He turned his attention back to the girl that had bumped into his chair and said bluntly, "Let's have a battle." He was bored, and there wasn't much else he could do besides just let the girl be on her way and go right back to being bored, so he might as well take the opportunity to actually do something for once during this stupid party.

Sam waited outside for a long time. She saw people coming and going, even a few battles. The guard didn't come back. 'Could he not find it? Maybe someone took it! Or...he just doesn't believe me and isn't even looking.' The last thought made her feel really depressed. How was she supposed to get her egg back now? She couldn't get back into the Gala, and everyone thought she was drunk, they wouldn't take her seriously. She started to cry. She had promised she would take care of the egg that Mr. Kuljis had so generously given her, and now look what happened! 'I let him down... she thought, which made her cry harder. She always thought of herself as an emotional wreck, and combined with her fear of failure, the night was proving to be too much for her. She tried to steady herself a bit. 'I have to figure out a way in. I have to get that egg' She sniffled a couple of times. She could feel her makeup running, and she laughed. It was a sensation she had never felt before. She headed to the hotel, determined to get her egg back, and get out of the ridiculous dress.
When she got to the hotel, she let herself into the room and saw no one there. She let out a breath she didn't she had been holding. For some reason, she had a strange fear that Orion would be there. She headed to the bathroom, and wiped all the makeup off. She had a few mascara smears but she didn't mind. She shed the cumbersome dress, and put on her normal light, blue dress. She also pulled on her boots. Thank God, she was out of those heels! She sat on the bed, and put her pack on, which held all her supplies, including Star's and Miles' pokeballs. Now she wouldn't have to come back here. She suddenly heard a knock on the door, and she dashed to the bathroom. She locked the door. She heard the door open, and Orion's laughter. She also heard an unfamiliar female's laugh. She gagged for a moment, and her cheeks burned. 'I have got to get out of here. She quietly let herself out the door, ignoring Orion and his new friend completely. She headed back towards the Gala.
She didn't really have a plan. How was she supposed to get inside? Now she didn't even look like a guest. 'Well then I'll have to look like someone else.' She frowned. How was she supposed to get one of the uniforms? Maybe she didn't have to. She went around to the back, and sure enough, the door was open with no guards. She entered into a large kitchen, then ran through, going behind the bar. She was now back in the mainstream Gala. She searched around, getting her bearings. People were staring at her strange attire, and whispering again. She spotted the little orange sack, and made a mad dash for it. She picked it up as she saw two different, but still just as burly, guards heading her way. She ran, cradling the egg, out the way she had come, surprising cooks and waitresses. She flew out the back door. She kept running all the way to the ocean. She noticed a dock, and headed there. She looked at the schedule for ferries. 'Somewhere...anywhere!' She noticed a tiny little note. It read, "Lilycove City to Cianwood City, departing at 6 a.m. July 3rd." Her heart almost stopped.

"Good choice," Maggie said, seemingly oblivious to the two men that had begun speaking to her husband. "But then again, they're all good choices, if I do say so myself." She giggled lightly to herself and closed the video feed, quickly working away at the laptop like she'd been doing it that way for years. Keegan couldn't help but stare in awe at his mother's new-found computer skill, though it did make him happy to see that she had found something else she could do at home. As though reading her son's thoughts, Maggie turned to Keegan and smiled. "It's a good thing I already knew something about computers," she said, already beginning to initiate the Pokeball transfer. "Your father is completely hopeless when it comes to technology." She giggled hit a few more keys and soon the portable Pokeball transfer machine whirred to life. "Okay, it should be here in only a few moments!"
Isn't technology wonderful? Keegan thought sarcastically as the red and white sphere materialized in the fold-out tray. Maggie didn't hesitate to pick it up and give it a good once over before she gave it a quick polish and handed it to Riza. "There you go, Honey. That Cyndaquil's all yours. Take good care of it!" She glanced over her shoulder at her husband, smiling impishly when she saw that he was still busy. "You kids should go on and have fun now," she said.
"But Mom," Keegan said hesitantly, stealing a glance at his father. "Are you just giving Riza that Cyndaquil?" he asked incredulously.
Maggie giggled again. "Yes, yes, of course," she said, nodding. "We've been doing so well with the business lately we can allow a few to slip through for free. Just don't go bragging about it or everyone will think they can get a famous Summers' Pokemon for free."
The sly smirk she wore was not unlike the one her son often had, and the redhead nodded. "Alright, see you later, Mom," he said, grabbing Riza by the hand and hurriedly leading her out of the Hoenn room and back into the main ballroom. "That went well, don't you think?" he asked, plopping down in a free chair. "My mom's always been pretty generous like that, you're not the first of my friends she's given Pokemon to for free." His tone was pleasant and not at all condescending, though he did look towards the blonde waitress and her Charmander seated at a table nearby, unable to suppress the smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth.

Mitsu yawned feeling very tired now. She wanted to sleep, it was fairly late in the night as it was. She moved to Violet's stand and picked up the white bag that had once held her dress and her own brown bag. Violet seemed busy with a customer, whose eyes weren't exactly on the eggs before him either. "I'll come back later," Mitsu reasoned with herself before walking to the bathroom.
Once there she stripped herself of the dress clothes and pulled on normal attire. The purple and sea green scheme appearing on her body once more. She folded the dress and placed it inside the bag along with the pearl necklace, white clutch, and high heels. She felt better being in clothes that were much more comfortable. As she brushed her hair out she noticed that most of the curls were already gone. She hadn't used hair spray and now she was glad that she hadn't. There was no make up to clean off her face either.
She emerged from the bathroom feeling severely under dressed compared to the Gala attendees, most of which were still present at the actual event. "Hey Violet, thank you for everything tonight!" Mitsu smiled, setting the white bag down next to her booth. She pulled the older woman into a big hug, "If you see Dante could you tell him that I'll see him on the boat?"
By now she'd wondered where Karri had wandered off too until she saw the Psychic type near a table with a very familiar blond and a small Charmander. Mitsu recalled the Gardevoir who was completely drunk at this point and quietly wondered if Pokemon had hangovers. It'd be troublesome if they did, and extra troublesome just because it was Karri. She was such a handful sometimes! And to think she'd once been a shy and timid Ralts who hid behind Mitsu all the time. The trainer mentally laughed, feeling a bit of nostalgia. "Ah, I'm heading out, I hope you have a good night Kasiya," Mitsu said giving the Charmander a small pat to the head, "And sorry if Karri was bothering you, she had a bit too much to drink." The purple headed girl waved before heading out the main entrance.
This time she was sure she spotted Keegan, along with someone she guessed was his date. She looked a bit familiar, but Mitsu couldn't really place a name on her. She gave them a small wave and smile before leaving, not wanting to interrupt them.
The night air was especially frigid, being close to the ocean and all, and she shivered, even through her green jacket. She made it to the Pokemon Center in record time, having ran from the Contest Hall to the warmth of the red roofed building. It was well past midnight by now, or so she assumed, and she was dead tired. She didn't even want to bother asking Joy for a room and instead collapsed on a sofa nearby, drawing a blanket around her lower body. She could swear that her head had hit something kind of hard on the way down but it didn't hurt and she didn't care. She was far too tired. Within mere moments she was out like a light.

"You little BRAT! You ruined my outfit!" the woman cried, anger flushing her face an evil shade of red. "RUE-END-ET," she added for extra, though unneeded, emphasis. The sight itself was rather comical, as Mia was having a hard time suppressing her giggling. The poor lady was red in the face and covered from head to toe in mud, it was literally oozing off her body, falling onto the ground unceremoniously in loud "splats!" Finally Mia couldn't hold it anymore, as she burst out laughing.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" she cried, trying to stifle her laughter. She coughed, cleared her throat loudly, and then smiled. "I really am sorry," she replied bowing to the lady in an apology.
"First you kick mud in my face and then you laugh? And you think you're going to get away with it?!" she shrieked. And like any other angry person in the Pokemon world would do, she threw down her Pokeball, well in this case it was a Luxury Ball, and out appeared a rather primp and proper looking Lopunny. It was clearly not happy standing so close to mud, even the wet grass was too much for her.
Mia mentally sighed. She did enough battling in Pastoria! Her dad was the Gym Leader for crying out loud! Though on the outside she looked thrilled. "A battle?!" she asked, though she clearly wasn't looking for an answer. She smiled throwing forward Scuttles's Pokeball. The quite little Skorupi appearing in a flash of red light.

Did they just step past him? The small Totodile thought stunned. They ignored his greatness and just stepped past him? Oh no they didn't! That was not acceptable! How could they just ignore his greatness?! Growling the Totodile took off chasing after the two ready to show them just how great he was.
Robin and Luffy were wondering down the road finally out of the city and feeling pretty good about them selves. They had had a full day and despite the emotional roller coaster that it was. All Robin wanted to do now was get on the boat back to Slateport city. It would probably be an all night trip but Robin didn't mind so much, besides they would spend all day on the boat tomorrow probably to.
As they walked on they didn't notice the charging Totodile at them, Robin did notice though that she was getting another phone call. Reaching into her pocket she tried to get to her phone quickly but she accidentally dropped the thing. As she bent down to pick it up the Totodile went soaring over her head and smacked face first into a rock. As Robin answered her phone Luffy started laughing at the fallen Totodile.
"Ah hello!" Robin asked as she finally got her phone open.
"Hello Robin." Came the happy if tired sounding voice of her mother over the line.
"Mom! I am so glad you called I have great news for you!" Robin was excited to tell someone about her new badge she had just earned.
"Oh? And here I was just calling to see if you were ok."
"Well I am better then ok right now! I and my friends just won our first badge! I got it from Misty in Cerulean City! Everyone did such a good job!"
"Oh wow congratulations then Robin!"
"Thanks! So anyway how have you been lately mom?"
"Oh your father and I have been doing fine. Though it is really quiet with out you and Luffy around. Who knew we would miss your loud behavior so much."
Robin thought for a moment, she had promised her parents to get them a pokemon they could look after. Maybe she could catch one on her way to the ferry to give to them? Or maybe she had one in her party, she thought as her mind pictured her Slowpoke. She loved the little guy but he was just afraid of mostly everything. Maybe if he spent some time with her parents he would get a little braver. "Hmm, well mom I think I might have a solution for you. You see I just caught a Slowpoke earlier today. He isn't really brave and I think he wouldn't really like any of the battles I get into. So maybe he could spend some time with you guys and get used to people a bit more at least?"
"A Slowpoke? Those aren't scary are they?" Robin's mom had no love for scary looking pokemon. Robin didn't quite get it but then again there appartment wasn't that big and scary pokemon tended to be really big.
"No he is small and pink." Robin said with a sigh.
"Oh then of course we will take him honey. If that is what you want we can hold him for as long as you want."
"Great I will put him in my box for you guys to pick up when you can." Robin said looking around to see if she could find Luffy, he usually got into trouble if she wasn't around to keep an eye on him.
While Robin had been on the phone with her mom Luffy had been laughing and playing around the small Totodile. That pokemon sure was funny spouting things about his greatness and how he would surpass even god. Laughing the Ambipom watched as the crocodile like pokemon get an angry look on his face when he discovered he wasn't listening to him. The water type pokemon just charged forward with the intent to attack Luffy but was quickly stopped by Luffy's long tail hand holding him in place.

When Hera glanced back at her trainer only to be greeted by the sight of the scary faced Muuma she had to admit that she was a little freaked out. She hadn't been expecting that! But she was still a fighting pokemon and she wouldn't back down just because of a really scary faced strange floating pokemon.
"A pokemon battle?" Dante frowned slightly. "If that will make you feel better then I suppose so. We shouldn't battle in the hall though, there are a lot of people here." Dante suggested. He wasn't really in the mood to battle and he was quite frankly close to being done with this Gala now. After this battle though he was sure he was gunna be done, to bad looking at the pokemon was kinda cool. "I hope you don't mind if you battle my Heracross though, she is fairly new but she is strong. I doubt you could stand up to her strength."

Muuma was disappointed with the lack of screaming or at least having a move visible reaction to her scare tactic. She floated back to Leon unhappily and watched the Pokèmon and its trainer, catching the part of their conversation about a battle and perking up a bit. Now she could give that Heracross a reason to be scared!
Leon rolled his eyes--how many times had he done that already today?--when the girl suggested they shouldn't battle in the hall. He'd assumed that had been fairly obvious, seeing as how there wasn't even space enough for a battle to go on at the moment. He nodded slightly when she mentioned using her Heracross but stopped as soon as she started making assumptions about its strength compared to Muuma's. His look quickly changed to annoyed, anime-style vein annoyed, and there was a slight glare to his gaze again. "Don't make assumptions about other people's Pokèmon," He said angrily. The battle was just going to be something to do, but now he needed to show this girl that her giant bug was no match for a ghost.

He was in a large stadium, and there were tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of people. The sound of their cheering was nearly deafening. Cameras were swirling all around him. It was quite the sight to behold. In his dream, Kilik was all alone on the stadium floor, but from afar, he could see someone walking towards him. The challenger looked familiar, and when he finally got to see him better, the boy's jaw dropped, but he shouldn't have been surprised. It was Mike, of course. "Hey Mike!" Kilik called out, "Ready to battle?" But then, fire engulfed his friend and maniacal laughter began to echo out from the inferno.
"It's not Mike, kid," the other boy said, "It's Milo! This body's mind to command!" Kilik fell to his knees, calling out to his friend. Then everything shattered around him and he fell into a deep darkness, then hit his head.
Kilik sat up, rubbing his forehead. It felt like someone else's head had hit his. He looked around and saw that Mitsu was sleeping near him. The top of her head was touching the top of his. "Must've hit me when she went to sleep," he said, groaning. He felt something heavy on his stomach. Must be the Egg, he said, turning to check on it. However, he came face to face with a pair of big yellow eyes. Kilik let loose the most blood curdling, high pitched scream he had, scared half to death. The creature on his stomach scampered away, hiding under his blanket. "H-Hey, you come out of there!" he said, pulling the blanket off and standing up. His eyes widened. Where he was laying, curled up behind her tail, was a small, rather frightened Treecko. She held out her hand to Kilik and waited for the boy to take it.
"I guess my egg must've hatched when I was sleeping..." he took the gecko's hand and she scrambled up the length of his arm, crawling all over his back before deciding to settle on his shoulder. Kilik smiled. "You sure hatched fast. Must've been close to hatching when I gotcha, huh?" He nodded with his Pokemon. He knelt down and picked up the two halves of the Egg shell and placed them together. There was a bright white light and they formed into a red-and-white Ball. He put the Pokeball on his belt and crawled back onto the couch. Treecko moved down his chest and curled up, using her tail as a blanket. She had fallen asleep almost instantly. Kilik put his hand on her head and patted her a few times, closing his eyes. Hopefully, that odd dream wouldn't start back up.

Cianwood! 'I can go home! Soon!' Her heart swelled. 'Mom...Dad...I'm going to come home' "One ticket for the 6 o' clock ferry to Cianwood please," she said breathlessly. The lady gave her a funny look, but that was probably because of the late hour, and the fact that the ferry wasn't leaving for awhile. There was no point in buying so early since they never sold out. She took the ticket after handing over the money, and immediately placed it in the secure TM's pocket in her pack. It was awkward to hold the egg sack and her pack at the same time. She would have to buy something that could accomadate both. Or she could just wait until whatever it was hatched. 'What is it anyways? Something unlucky apparently.' She would have to research it. On her way back the pokemon center, she began thinking of possible names. She had already decided she was going to name all her pokemon, and with something that was meaningful. ' Unlucky...Unlucky...' She hadn't the slightest idea.
At the pokemon center, she asked if Nurse Joy had an alarm clock of some sort. She didn't see the point in taking a room if she wasn't going to be there very long. Nurse Joy produced an old pager that would vibrate as an alarm, so as not to wake anyone else. She chose one of the several couches in the center, some were already taken, set her pack down on the couch, and got a blanket and pillow. She laid down, the pack near her feet, and the egg near her head. She set the alarm, and closed her eyes. She felt the pack wiggling, and sighed. She took out Star's wiggling pokeball. She broke out of the pokeball, and stared at Sam. "Star...bedtime. Kay? Guten noches." She rolled over, and quickly fell asleep. Star watched her for a few minutes, then took the egg sack into her hands. She sensed the baby pokemon inside. She took out Miles' pokeball and released him. She chattered to him about the egg, then they both curled up around the egg at Sam's feet, and fell asleep. It was quite the sight, seeing as the couch was fairly narrow. As a result, you had the girl with her feet hanging off, and a somewhat slimy pokemon curled around a dingy orange sack with a white fluffball hanging upside down off the couch.

"Mom! Mom!" a young girl cried, her arms open wide for an incoming hug, "You're home!" She squealed as the older woman scooped her up in a swinging hug. The girl was very, very young and her speech wasn't even fully developed yet. She smiled and laughed. The woman had long flowing purple hair along with a pair of thin glasses. She looked brilliant. Then a man entered the picture, wrapping his arms around the woman and the young girl. He was taller than the woman by a noticeable gap and had short, messy black hair. The three looked quite happy. . .
Just then a high-pitched scream erupted into the air snapping Mitsu awake instantly. "Gah! Did a girl scream?!" she cried, vaguely noticing a dull pain in the back of her head. She shot straight up from sheer fright of the scream, the blanket falling off and onto the floor. Her short skirt was a bit ruffled up and Mitsu quickly brush out her skirt, making it appear less haphazard. She grabbed the blanket and draped it over her legs just to be safe. Note to self, wear pants to sleep.
All this happened with her back to Kilik and his newly hatched Treecko. She turned around as he spoke, not even noticing that she'd fallen asleep next to him. Blinking she looked at the new Pokemon and the cracked egg shell. "Was that you, Kilik?" she asked mid-yawn. But by the time she'd managed to speak, it seemed that Kilik had already gone back to sleep. She laid back down, after scooting away so they wouldn't be so close. Luckily the sofa was oddly large for a Pokemon Center and it fit them both comfortably. Mitsu closed her eyes trying to fall back asleep though to no avail.

When Miharu turned and smiled Tyra returned it, with barely any warmth. She wanted to give more to the trainer but found she didn’t have it in her. Even though Jiro had won the fight against the punk, the loss Freya suffered was heavy in her chest.
“So glad the pokemon center can be easily seen anywhere.” Tyra stated as she stayed a bit behind the girl. Tyra wondered how much more training she'd have to do. She always trained with them even Hunter. She worked out a system that worked really well with the dog-type. Hunter knowing how it felt when she lost her first fight could feel the pain in her friend’s emotions. The sullen look, the hunched shoulders, the careful steps were all tell tale signs of what Tyra was feeling.
The two continued heading towards it. Each step Tyra felt a bit better knowing that Frey would get healed soon and she could start to make the Machop feel better.

Even though Kilik had a big day ahead of him, he couldn't help but be far too anxious to start training with Treecko. He opened his eyes and sat up, waking up the gecko in his lap. "Hey, come on," he said, tilting his head so that his shoulder was wide open. Shyly, she went up his chest again and moved all over his back, climbing onto his shoulder. She bumped her head against his, a wide smile on her face. Y'know, he thought as he started to quietly stand up from the couch, she's the first female Pokemon I've had that actually acts like a girl! As he started to walk out, he paused and leaned down, kissing Mitsu on the forehead. Now he headed towards the door, checking the clock. It was about one in the morning. "I'll set an alarm," he said, pulling out his PokeNav as he walked out of the building.
He continued west of Lilycove, towards the Route leading out of the City. "Two hours ought to be enough, do you think, Treecko?" She nodded, stretching on his shoulder. After about a ten minute walk, he made it outside the city and figured he was far enough out that nobody would hear him. Rubbing his eye sleepily, he tossed Cable's ball up into the air. The night was filled with the white light from his entrance, his fists up and ready to go. The Electabuzz looked around, not seeing an opponent. "Ele?" he turned to see Kilik with a strange green thing on his shoulder. "Cable, this is Treecko," he said. The boy stretched his arm out towards his Electric Pokemon and she moved down it like it was a tree branch, very nimble and light on her feet. Treecko stretched out her neck, sniffing Cable a few times. She took a few steps back, rather afraid of the Electabuzz. "It's okay, Treecko," Kilik said, bending his elbow so that Treecko was close to him again. The baby buried her face in his chest, gripping the front of his shirt with her little hands. "He's a friend." With a little struggle, he gently pulled her off of his shirt.
"Ready?" he said, putting her on the grass. "Cable, we're going to be easy on her. Take your moves slowly, and let her attacks always hit you, okay? You're much stronger than she is, so you don't need to worry about it." He squatted down and looked at Treecko, patting her on the head. "But I'll treat you both to a nice long rest at the Center and a big breakfast!" Cable folded his arms and scoffed. A little bit of Aggron had rubbed off on him. How come he had to fight such a baby Pokemon? With a sigh, he toned down his power. Treecko, on the other hand, took another step back before she felt Kilik's hands pushing her back out onto the battlefield. She guessed if she was going to be trained, then she may as well give it all she's got. The gecko reared her head back and unleashed a stream of blue fire from her mouth. Kilik was amazed, and pulled out his PokeDex. The gruff voice rang out: "Dragonbreath - a Dragon-type attack. For Treecko, this must be a move that is bred into it." Kilik nodded his head.
"Must've gotten lucky!" He clenched his fist, "Remember, Cable! Be gentle and let her hit you every time!" Cable rolled his eyes and held his arms out, taking the full blow of the attack. It really didn't hurt at all and barely left a scratch, but he fell back anyway. "Gee, Cable, you could be in theater!" Kilik laughed, "Didn't know you could act!" Treecko must have been completely oblivious to what Kilik was saying, because when she saw that Cable had fallen over, she put her hands on her face and blushed madly. Oh, her new trainer must be so impressed!

"Oh dear, your Hitmonlee doesn't seem to like you very much. What's the matter?" Kenneth couldn't help but feel a bit down at the sight of Hitmonlee turning away from Shiro like that especially in battle. Sure this was just a friendly spar between old friends so it was no big deal, but what if this had been against a big meanie who would attack ruthlessly even if the opponent wasn't ready for battle? No this wouldn't do at all. Swinub looked up at Kenneth with his ever closed eyes unsure what to do. "Not just yet sweetie, let's wait for them ok?" Swinub just got back down on his stomach and watched. Ken was a bit sympathetic as he too knew what it was like for a pokemon not to obey, his dear Starmie was also stubborn and troublesome at first but it came around eventually.
"I don't care if he hates me or adores me, that's irrelevant. So long as he does what he's told I don't care what he thinks. He can always be replaced. " Hitmonlee narrowed his eyes at Crenu, staring at him for a good moment before reluctantly taking a fighting stance against the little fuzz ball that was Swinub. "Good, looks like we understand each other. Don't underestimate them Lee, I'm sure that Swinub is stronger than you think. Now, start off with Rolling Kick!" Hitmonlee still wasn't listening though. Even though Crenu had proven himself to be a decent leader by winning that last gym battle, in the end it was his decision to hit that big pokemon with a Jump kick to end the match. Despite the last victory Hitmonlee still didn't trust Crenu as a leader, and he didn't like him very much either. No, this battle would be one by his might and instincts alone. Jump Kick worked last time, so it would work again. Hitmonlee rushed forward leaping high into the air and came down on Swinub like a comet with hisfoot aimed steadily to pierce his opponent. An ice type like Swinub wouldn't stand up after a kick like this.
The Jump kick surprised Ken quite a bit, after all Crenu had ordered a Rolling Kick. He half expected something like this, but never expected a reckless attack like Jump Kick so early in the match. Swinub didn't really move, he didn't have to. Despite the unexpected attack by Hitmonlee, the fighter was to hasty in his attack. Swinub did little more than move a little and Hitmonlee went right past him, hitting the ground hard with his foot. "Oh no, ooo that must have hurt so bad! Oh, sorry but we can't pass this chance up. Swinub Icy Wind if you don't mind." Swinub answered the command instantly as he took a deep breath and turned to face Hitmonlee. With a mighty big exhale that you wouldn't expect from such a small pokemon Swinub released a frosty wind littered with shimmering ice particles that gave the appearance of diamond dust. Truly beautiful, style even when not in a contest was what Kenneth taught his pokemon and was always proud to see it. "Sorry Shiro!"
There was nothing more to it, this was a waste of time. Hitmonlee was suffering from his self inflicted injury and was now being covered by the arctic wind Swinub produced which couldn't have felt much better. This was just embarrassing, Hitmonlee simply would not do any more. "Hitmonlee, return. It has become clear to me now, the battle is yours Ken. Now leave me alone." The return beam sucked Hitmonlee back into his pokeball and Crenu began to walk away. But it wasn't long before he felt Ken's arm wrap itself around his neck. Of course, it was never that easy.
"Well hey now, why the long face? I thought you did really well in our battle. Don't be so sour young Shiro, it's ok. Come on, I know you haven't had breakfast yet and we've got soo~ much to talk about. Now come on, our pokemon could probably use a meal after battle too right? The center's not to far buddy, come one." He wasn't taking no for an answer, Ken never did. He may not have looked it at first, but Ken was proud of his body and took care of it so he was fairly strong. But he didn't need to fight since it appeared that Shiro had no interest in resisting. He never was one for much of a fuss. Ken had a big smile on his face as the two went to the center for some catching up. They had much to talk about, some good and some bad. But that didn't matter.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Some time had passed since the battle had finished, both Ken and Crenu had dropped their pokemon off with the Joy of Celedon and had sat down for breakfast at the cafeteria. Crenu had reluctantly gone with Ken after he insisted earlier that morning, he remembered just how persistent he was when he set his mind on something and Crenu didn't care one way or another in the long run. Still, Ken was just so...happy...or something. Whatever it was it just pissed him off and that cape that was brighter than the sun sure didn't help. "So you just came from the Sinnoh region then? I'd heard the professor, Rowan I think, say that it's borders were closed until just recently." He was really just making conversation now and didn't really care, but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't at least a little curious about what he had to say about Sinnoh and the things he got there. After all, that stone he'd mentioned had made Misdreavus evolve and became that much more powerful.
"Well no not exactly, first I went back home to visit the folks and all that jazz. And I was especially excited to see my good buddy Shiro, but your mom said that you left to start your own journey. I was so devastated that I missed you after all these years what I just absolutely had to come find you." Ken took a break from what he was saying to take a sip from his coffee, and to wave at a passing trainer who couldn't help but stare at his outfit. "Oh but yeah, I was in Sinnoh before heading back home. Don't get the wrong idea Shiro, closed borders don't mean that there's a wall with guards ready to shoot on sight. Well, it kinda does I guess, but closed borders might have been to harsh a term. It wasn't as easy as it was getting from Johto to here I'll admit, but getting in and out of Sinnoh wasn't impossible."
"Right. " Crenu also took a sip of his coffee, sitting back against his chair listening quietly, he'd learned nothing from that at all. "So you went back home first..." Immediately Crenu thought about his home town of Ecruteak and all that was there. He'd left behind a mother whom he cared as much about as the next middle aged female and a girl in a wheel chair whom he actually considered his friend. "Hmm, so how did you find me?"
"He he he, I'll tell you again you're pretty hard to find. I went all the way through the Illex Forest because I figured you would have as well and ended up meeting with an old couple that said they met you, something about an injury which I assume has to do with the really handsome scar above your eye. They said you were traveling with two other trainers which made me doubt them at first, but they did mention that you were a bit of a jerk to them and you had a falling out so I believed them." He paused to take a bite of his toast before continuing. "From there I was pretty lost, I heard about a Beach Party and almost didn't check it out, I mean you know that sort of thing just isn't your style so it felt like a dead end. But something told me to check it out so I did. I didn't get there until sometime last night, but I when I did there was tons of talk about the party and the Rocket attack and all that exciting stuff! I talked to the Joy of that center and she told me all about you and some raven haired girl and how you two saved a bunch of pokemon and how you got your arm torn up by an pokemon and got badly poisoned for her! Oh how romantic! So where is she, and who is she? and what about your companions?" Ken paused, intent on getting his answers before giving Crenu more of his tale."
"....I split from the other two before all that. Their names were Ky and Mary-Anne, I met them after I left home and decided to travel with them for no real reason. And the girl's name was...Riza. We met at Rowan's announcement ceremony, I found her intriguing and nothing more. I took the attack for her because I didn't want the Rocket to forget who he was battling and because she was paralyzed on the floor in fear." Crenu had a cold stare on his face and he polished off his coffee. "I split from the other two and her for the same reason, I was starting to get close and I realized that emotional attachments and distractions like that make a person weak."
Ken frowned at Crenu's comment, but soon started smiling again, though it was a small one. "Oh no Shiro, don't think like that. It's so sad and depressing! And here I wanted to meet this pretty young thing that probably had you all tied up in knots. Ah to be so young." He said, speaking as if he were some sort of old dying man. "You're going to die alone, seriously man. But I digress, back to the tale at hand. So once I had heard about that epic attack I asked where to from there. Of course Nurse Joy didn't know, but luckily the ticket lady had sold you a ticket earlier that day. So I bout me a ticket and here I am. Though I didn't think I'd find you so easily, honestly training in the park by yourself before breakfast, how lone wolf bad a** are you?"
