Persephone smiled almost as mischieviously as the professor had when he asked her if she'd be interested in a NEWT level class.
"Definitely," she said confidently. "Marduke may be interested in it as well, she's a seventh year like me. And there's this 6th year Ravenclaw boy named Payton, but i don't think he'll want to do it."

Mitsu pouted but then smiled, laughing some. Of course she wouldn;t want to keep it, but still id make an interesting story. Taking her wand she repeated the spell, with the same wand movements he did and poof! for once she did a spell first try off the bat. She then dropped the frog, body shivering.

"Toads feel so werid~~" She said to herself, grinning some as she went to pet its head despite what she said earlier.

Ginger had looked doubtful all the way through watching the others transforming their toads to watches. Now that she heard there was a simple counter spell, however, she was much more ready to do it.
Of course she hadn't really thought the toad would always stay a watch. Whenever she transformed she always managed to transform back, after all. But still...
Biting her lip, she muttered the incantation, carefully poking her wand at the animal in front of her. It wasn't exactly how she had pictured it, but at least it was round, glittery and ticking. "Professor?" She asked hesitantly, showing her pocket watch, ticking slowly in her hand. "What was the counter spell again?"

"Sinmal Sotrev!" said Ryu, pointiong his wand at the watch. It immediatly grew back into the body of a toad. Funnily enough, the wart turned out to be part of the skin above the toads right eye.

Trista frowned; she did not wish to return the toad back to its normal state until she had gotten every inch of it correctly transformed. She closed her eyes and imagined the my beautiful pocketwatch she could think of, making note of every number, every bit of the watch. She pointed her wand at her abomination of a watch and repeated "Vertos Lamnis!" To her liking, the clock's numbers all realigned themselves to the correct order. The minutes hand grew to its right length, and the clock was ticking perfectly. Trista beamed to herself, glad to have finally gotten it right. After admiring her work, the aimed her wand back at the pocketwatch, but reversed the spell. "Sinmal Sotrev!" Before her eyes, the beautiful watch transformed itself back into the ugly toad which it had been previously. She returned the creature to its cage and sulked to herself. It would have been nice to keep such a thing, She thought to herself.

Ginger smiled gratefully at Mitsu before muttering the spell several times to herself quietly, trying to imagine herself doing it just before she actually did.
Making sure the professor had seen her watch before she transformed it back, she said clearly: " Sinmal Sotrev." Quicker this time, and without any hesitation, her watch melted into the toad she had picked up only 15 minutes before. Ginger smiled delightedly, then turned to Mitsu again: "Thanks! I keep forgetting things so quickly nowadays."

Ginger eyed Mitsu thoughtfully for a second, thinking about it. Of course, the incantation was only half the work, you needed to focus and swish your wand correctly as well.. Which could only mean one thing: "Well, your wandwork is brilliant then, if you say your accent meddles with your magic," She told her friend, as if this were the most logical conclusion ever.

Thoroughly satisfied with her work, Laurel placed her books in her bag and stood to leave. "See you later Professor," she said with a wave and left the classroom. Laurel smiled. No homework. On the first lesson. It truly must be the sign of a good year.
