Demons aren't savages. They just aren't. The just have a different culture, that values physical strength. And if you're going to continue going on about "well compared to humans" there are many "civilized" demons, depicted having cities, beer, magazines, sofas, and televisions, probably the ones who associated with humans more. So demons are no barbarians. Just different.
