"M-my room would be best, I think. It shouldn't be guarded. Most of them are out looking for me, anyway...." Xipilli muttered, hanging his head, twiddling his thumbs. "It's in the west wing, the door closest to the church, on the first floor to the right, I believe." The boy quickly bowed to them again. "Thank you so much for doing this for me!"

Riddic fought back a sigh, but smiled instead. "I see. Thank you for uptaking this rather... unusual request. It is much appreciated."

"It's not a problem Xipilli," Angela insisted. "Really."

She looked over at Zen. "Does this mean you're also coming along, darling? Or shall I just go by myself? I'm sure i won't have any trouble finding it alone and you could stay and continue your talk with Prince Riddic."

Part of her was hoping he'd come along but part of her was also hoping he'd stay so she could snoop alone without answering the questions he was sure to ask.

She looked at him expectantly and waited for his response.

"I'll stay, sweetheart." Zen was saying, strangely in a natural way. "I'll keep the prince and his priest entertained while you go do your charity." He felt like his smile was sore on his face at that point.

"Alright, Love," Angela replied with a smile, inwardly grimacing when Zen called her 'sweetheart'--that made her think of disgusting holiday candies. "I'll return as quickly as I may."

She curtsied to the prince once more and hurried off in the direction Xipilli had indicated, thankful Zen had elected to stay behind. Now she could take her time snooping and exploring and then just claim she'd gotten lost.

"I am not a priest!"
"He is not a priest," both men said at practically the same time, however, Riddic continued, "He is the Bejeweled of Cele-Sara. To call him such a thing as a lowly priest is--"
Xipilli quickly shook his head. "N-no! It's fine, really. I don't mind..."

The ball room took up most of the south wing, leading to the Grand Hall. This particular room was perhaps one of the biggest, leading to each wing of the castle. The north and south walls of the room were merely giant ornate, intricate archways, while the west and east walls held a large wooden door, in which the family regalia was engraved. In the middle of the room was a grand spiral staircase that led to the second and third floors and was made of white marble.

The west wing held all of the rooms that were for the people dealing the church, which was located by the large wooden door at the end of the hall. It seemed the west wing was the smallest, as it did connect directly to the church. The prince's and the king's and queen's rooms were in the east wing on the top floor, while the myriad of servants held rooms in the lower floors.

Angela started heading to the west wing as Xipilli directed but as soon as she was out of sight, she cut back around and headed the opposite direction, avoiding guards and keeping out of sight. She'd get Xipilli's tunic and shoes as she promised. It would just take a little longer. She'd look around for a bit first.

No harm in looking around a little. One never knew what secrets they might stumble upon just by looking.

Zen realized his unintended mistake, which was the sort he was trying to avoid. "Well lookie here Mr. Bejeweled!" Zen was thinking of the bejeweling things on Earth that Togada had gotten into... but turned that out of his head for the time being.

The red head reached into his pocket, and pulled out a pair of shoes. "Tada!"

"Shoes!" Xipilli cried, rushing up to Zen eagerly and took them. He quickly put them on. They were a bit loose, but they were fine for the time being. "Thank you so much!"

The east wing was much more grander, much longer than the west wing. Along each side of the door were two sets of stairs, leading up to the higher levels of the wing. There were many different doors, and none of them seemed to be labeled, but it seemed the higher one went, the more ornate and fancy the decor seemed to get.

On the third floor, in front of the third door on the left, was a man clad in white. The man's hair was also white, and was spiked backwards. He glanced around for a moment, not seeming to have noticed anyone was there, and went inside.

Angela was hiding behind a large column when she saw a spiky haired man go into a room on the third floor--third to the left. He was dressed in white and his hair was white as well--something she had noticed was not an entirely common trait.

She frowned. He seemed to not be someone who should be here--at least, she was basing this on the fact that he had glanced around before going in as if making sure no one was around. She shifted slightly and then hurried over to the door silently, standing just outside and listening to whatever was going on inside.

"You're welcome." Zen beamed, hoping that won him some points.

The man glanced about the room, and started searching through the drawers, looking for something important. He cursed when it wasn't there, breaking one of the few mirrors in the room out of frustration. This caused him to bleed, but he didn't seem to care. Going over to the other side of the room, he opened the wardrobe and started looking through the pockets of every possible piece of clothing. He cursed again when it wasn't there either. Where the hell was it?

"Damnit, Riddic! Hiding things from me is not funny!" he cried out loud, to himself out of frustration.

Xipilli beamed happily, causing Riddic to nearly sigh. However, he noticed there was a commotion going on nearby. He glanced behind them and noticed the guards were coming towards them.

'Ahh! I have to hide some place better!" the blonde cried as he rushed off into the crowd, trying to get away from the guards.

Only a few seconds later did two, clad in armor, come up to both Riddic and Zen.

"Excuse me, your majesty, but have you seen Sir Xipilli around?"

Riddic shook his head almost immediately, keeping a straight face. "No, I cannot say I have."

The guard didn't believe him. "I know you wish to protect him, but this is important!" He looked to Zen. "Did you see him, sir?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 04, 2009 8:25 pm

"He went that way." Zen lied pointing in the opposite direction the boy had run off in.

Angela was going to initially slip into the prince's room (which is what this place was, she learned from the intruder) and hide somewhere so she could observe. But she decided it wasn't a good idea since he was searching for something and she didn't know what so he could end up stumbling upon her hiding there.

And let's face it, subtlety had never really been one of her strengths.

So she stepped into the room casually and leaned against the door. "Did you check under the mattress?" she asked.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 04, 2009 8:48 pm

The man jumped and turned around, facing Angela. From the looks of it, it seemed he was expecting someone else. Now he just looked a bit... confused. "Who are you?" he asked her. From this distance, Angela could now see his golden eyes, as well as the three purple flower petals in the middle of his forehead.

"Thanks." With that, the two men trudged off, but was quickly caught by the Queen (yet again) and thrown out of the ball room.

It was a few moments later that Xipilli returned, looking a bit worried. "I think I should go find some place else to hide. I don't want to ruin everyone else's good time, but Lady Angela is off finding clothes for me.... I hope she comes back before the guards do."

Riddic laughed slightly, then turned to Zen. "Thank you for throwing them off track. It really is a sad day when even your own guards do not believe you."

Angela smiled. "No one," she replied. "I'm no one at all--or at least I'm not anyone of any significance. Might I ask who you are?"

His eyes were a rather unusual color--to her anyway. She had no idea what was really normal for this planet. She also wondered about the significance of that mark on his forehead.
