"Great, come on, follow me." Elizabeth walked to the door and into the hall.

Cher held onto her crossbow and followed Elizabeth out of the center's door to the hall.

Echo stood outside on a balcony, already done with his food. He wasn't full, but he wasn't hungry either. He looked down at the ground from the house he was staying in and watched a couple phoenixes flaunting and showing off fire tricks. They were setting a couple fires on the roof of another house that they'd ransacked in the village. The raid earlier that had gone so smoothly it was boring, was all for naught. They'd accomplished nothing, no fighting, no terrorizing, no killing. He leaned on the rail, thinking on what to do about the Keepers. The heir would have to be eliminated before another year passed. Maybe he'd blackmail Chronos again.

"Im afraid you'll just have to settle for Strider as my name as for what im doing here. I came to join you. This war isn't necissary and im afraid eventually they will destroy themselfs and take the whole world with it."

"No that will be fine. I hade nough fun today in town. Just point me to the nearst sleeping accomodations."

Cher waved at Gavin's back, and then stopped. "We're...friends?" She asked, stunned. She'd barely met Elizabeth, and they were friends?

Echo stood on the balcony a while more, thinking. He would blackmail Chronos again, and eliminate the Keeper's new leader. He walked back inside, ignoring the phoenix boy from before, descending the stairs quickly to the outside. Instead of knocking on the front door of the city hall that served as a makeshift garrison, he barged right in, startling a few soldiers. The captain, confused and angry, marched over to him. "What do you want?" He said, stopping Echo with a hand. "The next time you take a wounded prisoner, don't kill him. Send him directly to me. After I send him back, get as close to the Keepers as you can without being noticed and let him go." He started to turn away, but looked over his shoulder back at the phoenix. "Oh, and make sure that he dies as soon as he delivers my message." He finished with a smile, going back to his temporary quarters.

Echo stood by the window of his room. He was so caught up in his excitement, that his method wouldn't have worked. Chronos alone would have to hear the message. He went over to his door and yelled for a messenger. "What do you need?" The phoenix asked. "Tell the captain that my orders were wrong. Chronos is the only one that will here my message when I give it to the captive. Tell him to single Chronos out when he releases the poor man to him. And if he's caught by someone else than Chronos, then he should kill him before they interrogate him. He'll remember that the man must die whether he gives the message, or not." He sent the phoenix to his duty and closed his door shut.
