For a moment, Michael raised an eyebrow.

"A good listener? Well, I guess he can be sometimes," he said light heartedly, "But no, I'm just glad he was in good hands... and wasn't causing any trouble."

Aside from what he had said, he was also glad that Chath had managed to find someone like himself. He figured that another Ashe would be able to understand Chath a little better than humans in general.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean! I am a good listener," said Chath with a bit of indignity. Though, he did recall one or two times where he kind of blew off what Michael said to him about a few things.

Julien chuckled, glancing between the two before his eyes lingered on Chath. "The trick to being a good listener, I find," he offered, not making it quite clear which of them he was actually speaking to, "is to really think about what's being said, rather than just assuming because you've heard it or already thought of it, there's nothing more to it. There's always a deeper meaning somewhere."

Looking back at Michael after a moment, he added, "I gather he's a fire-aligned Ashe?"

Hearing these words of wisdom, Chath considered them some. Michael had a similar reaction, though after a bit of thought he nodded. Both felt that the older ashe had a point there.

"Yeah, at least I think he is. His egg had a flame like pattern to it, and he's always gravitating towards my lighter," mentioned Michael before speaking under his breath, "which I can't seem to find at the moment now that I think about it..."

The boy shifted slightly and grinned innocently, deciding not to mention that he had the lighter in his pocket. He made a mental note to leave it on Michael's desk when the guy wasn't looking.

"He didn't try to set anything on fire did he?"

Julien raised an eyebrow at Chath, his good humor still in place as he said, "Well, I did set up a fire in a sand patch near the water of the park. I had some lessons early on when my own guardian figured out I liked to cook. I asked because I was thinking... if Chath likes fire, he might enjoy a cookout at some point? I wouldn't mind organizing one so you can meet Mireille as well."

Chath's red eyes practically lit up with a blaze of their own when he heard the offer. A cookout sounded like a lot of fun, partially because Julien inferred that there would be a lot of fire or something along those lines. Later on, he would also have to thank the guy for not telling on him.

Turning towards Michael, he grinned, "Can we go? Please?"

Not entirely certain about what might have gone on in the park earlier, Michael decided to let it go. Neither were harmed, and it didn't sound like a fire truck was anywhere in the area. Perhaps the boy learned a thing or two about flames.

"That would be nice. Do you have a phone we could call? Or an email? It might be easier to set one up and such if we keep in contact. Not to mention it might help for future get togethers."

Julien nodded, reaching into his pocket for his wallet. Out of it, he pulled a small white business card with a number scribbled in blue ink on the back. "Mir keeps saying she ought to get me my own," he offered cheerfully, as he handed over a card that held a very simple design on the front - black font on white background, with no extraneous information or art. Just a simple name, 'Mireille Lemieux', with the title of author beneath, and a work number at the bottom. "The number on the back is my cellphone, but this way, you can also call Mir and talk to her."

"Haha, well they can be pretty useful."

With a smile, Michael took the business card, taking a moment to look at both sides of it. Nodding, he dug around his pockets until he was able to present his own business card. Nothing really fancy was on his as well. Though, it included his email as well as his cellphone number.

"Here you go. Oh! I'm Michael Hyde by the way."

On the side, Chath fidgeted slightly, mainly out of anticipation as he was trying to imagine what the cookout might be like. Of course it might be a little while before it happens, but he couldn't help but still feel some excitement for it.

"Julien Lemieux," Jules answered, grinning as he tucked the business card away in his wallet, taking care to put it in a separate pocket of the two-layered bifold. "So... tell me. What do you two like to eat? I'll have to know for the cookout, even though I'm planning to enlist you to help me," he added to Chath.

He slipped the wallet back into his jeans, then stuck his hands in his pockets, looking between the two curiously. What sort of food WOULD he cook? Ribs, perhaps... or burgers? Certainly potatoes... Waiting for the answer, he let his mind play over all the foods he'd seen that might taste good in a cookout.

The two glanced at one another briefly before looking back at Julien. It was a good question really; there were quite a few options that would be good to have at a cookout.

"Hm... well we're not particularly picky, but maybe ribs and possibly some sort of chicken? It'd probably also be good to get some veggies in there somewhere."

"Just no cauliflower please.. That stuff looks like dried up brains or something. I wouldn't be surprised if that's how dried up brains tasted too," added Chath while making a face at the thought of the white vegetable, "Oh! And can something be spicy?"

Julien laughed wholeheartedly at the description of cauliflower. Personally, he rather liked that particular vegetable, but it was easy enough to leave out. In fact... "I could use the chicken to make skewers," he suggested, offering them both a half-grin. "And make it so that some are spicy and some are not. That way, there's a little bit for everyone," he noted.

He paused, considering, then added with a knowing smile, "And we can have s'mores for dessert, of course. Would you two like to invite anyone?" After all, as far as Julien was concerned, the more the merrier. And as he thought that, it occurred to him that perhaps he should consider inviting Wapasha for Mireille. The two of them had seemed to get along relatively well, after all. And there were other friends, too...

"Awesome!" grinned Chath as Jules made some suggestions on how the food would go. But the smile washed away as they were asked if they wanted to bring anyone. He didn't really know of anyone himself, but it wasn't so much the case for Michael.

Thinking about it, Michael thought of Rown and Pasayo. Perhaps they would like to come? And for a split second, he thought that the problem there was that they didn't really have a way of contacting them. But he soon remembered the instructions Rown had left before they parted.

"If ye be needin' us all ye 'ave ta do is knock three times onna oak tree. Ye'll get us that way." he thought as her words rang through his head.

"Hm... I might. You might have met them; one's a female Ashe who looks around your age by the name of Pasayo. And then her guardian, Rown."
