[I hope I didn't get too creative in this post]
Kiba smiled at Tanu's comment about being able to make anything look good. Her confidence was perhaps what he liked most about her. The grin vanished, however, when he got the feeling that the Kun Kumo may have overheard his little comment to himself about how the lightning bolts made him look sexy. "I've got to stop voicing my thoughts outloud..." he muttered. He began to wonder, based on Tanu's reaction, if he should have offered her underwear or not. Probably not the best decision. Silly Raiken youth, he still had much to learn. He did not let it bother him much, though and walked out into the hallway with Tanu. "Lets see..." he began trying remember where exactly the nearest bathroom was. He was still rather new to the place himself and had not quite mastered all of its twists and turns. Walking down to the middle of the hallway though he found the bathroom door. "It's over here!" he called in a loud whisper so as not to wake the mansion. Opening the door for his guest, if a guest she could be called, he walked over to a strange glass orb that hung by a wire from the ceiling. Attached to the bottom of it was a small metal box. This was new toy Chuuko had been experimenting with. By storing up lightning chakra into the little metal box the chakra of a Raiken could release it into the little glass orb and create light for certain periods of time. Long enough atleast for Tanu to do what she needed to. Kiba touched and injected into it the smalles amount of chakra and a small spark appeared followed by much larger bands of electricity.

(Makes sense to me!)
"You're not sure?" Tanu asked as Kiba looked down the hallways, deciding which way to turn. She quickly followed after him, keeping close. It was silent out on the cliffs and there was absolutely no noise from the late-night people that roamed the village. There were no sounds of drunks trying to find their apartment, no sounds of laughter from people staying up and chatting across the street. There was nothing but silence here. Tanu was actually growing to like it now that she thought about it. Her thoughts had made her lose distance from Kiba and she quickly ran over once he had found the bathroom. Tanu watched as he started the tub and blinked twice. She had never seen such a complex way to warm a bath. Since she was a Kun' Kumo, all her life people had just sloshed some plasma on some boards and presto! Tanu was about to open her big fat mouth and ask Kiba why he just didn't use his own electric power that had been said the Raikens have, but the girl realized that she didn't know a single fire technique from her clan and would just end up talking herself down as well. Instead of complimenting the contraption's complexity, Tanu frowned. "A little excessive, don't you think?" she asked when pointing at the experiment. "Thanks. I'll be quick and jump into bed. I don't want your creepy clan leader spying on me..." The girl mumbled to herself as she began to push Kiba out of the room before sliding the door shut.

Kiba was glad that Tanu seemed, for the most part, to be liking the mansion. He also liked how closely she was following him, it made him feel important. It was probably just the darkenss rather than his leadership skills, but he did not dwell on that too much. He did sort of sigh, however, when the Kun Kumo commented on the excessiveness of Chuuko's little device. He thought that it was kind of cool... Oh well... He nickered as she commented about his clan leader. The young Raiken's own experiences with the aged leader had not been all that great. "Good night Tanu!" he called to his squad mate through the door. As he turned to leave he paused a moment as he thought he saw a rat scurrying away into the darkness. He shook his head and tried not to think about it. No need to alert Tanu to its prescense. Walking on downstairs Kiba prepared for bed with his rather sparse accomodations on the floor. All he really had was a blanket and he took off his shirt and used it as a pillow. Before long sweet sleep had taken him.
[yep! exit to next day]
The Raiken Mansion was quite quiet. Indeed, you might think that all of its inhabitants were quite asleep. You might think so, but you would be wrong. Chuuko was quite wide awake still. They say curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought him back. The old Raiken had seen Kiba and Tanu enter the mansion. He decided against actively bothering them, but he could hardly leave them alone all together. Thus, in the form of rat he had assumed via henge no jutsu he had snucked into the hall way and seen Kiba use his new device. Haha! It works quite well! He thought. Now it just needs a witty name! He listened carefully to them talk for a while and did not hear all that much. When he heard Tanu's last remark about him spying on her he did get quite offended. Hmph! How dare she think such a thing? She must think herself awefully important! He finally ran off, however, when he heard Kiba coming back out of the bathroom and old Chuuko retired to his room. Once back he proceded to smoke a pipe and think about what all he had heard. What a busy body!

Tanu washed quickly, examined herself in the mirror with the black pants and white shirt and then headed back to Kiba's room. She nearly sprinted to the room, moving about the hallways alone made her a bit uneasy! The clothes she was wearing were thrown away since there were small burns here and there. Once they got to the mainland, Tanu would buy something new. Crawling into a ball on the comfy bed, Tanu let sleep embrace her.
(Exit to Spring 3)
Tanu had been an early riser ever since she had become a genin. Constantly waking up and banging on Shin's door and then Kiba's to make sure they weren't late for any training or exams. This morning was a little different. Kiba's bed just happened to be rather comfy and she didn't want to get up the first time she felt awake. Instead, the girl tossed and turned for awhile mumbling to herself about going back to the Kun Kumo village. She'd be able to tell her leaders that she had made it to genin and Kazuma had been banned from Shimgakure for good. She thought about last night's happenings and the fire. It suddenly dawned on her that Aya had mentioned going on the mission with Kane tomorrow. If Kane was going, did that mean... "No!" Tanu shouted, sitting up abruptly from the bed, the left side of her hair sticking straight up in the back. She had quite the case of bed head, but she didn't think to stop and check it as she threw off the covers and began pacing back and forth across the room. Why did that piece of crap have to come with them tomorrow? He'd just ruin everything! Tanu's blood was beginning to boil and she might scream if she didn't lash out at something. Walking out of Kiba's room, her hair still a mess, the fiery preteen made her way downstairs, nearly stomping the whole way, and then out the door. "Graaa!" she shouted, her first meeting a hunk of chopped wood that was sitting aside for construction.

The cool moist ground made dirt and random blades of grass stick to Tanu's feet as her toes ground into the earth as she released her punch. The loose clothing she wore slipped and slid around her body, the sleeves shirt's straps on one side falling off her shoulder as she unleashed her rage on the wood. She had been confronted with a dilemma while tossing and turning this morning. If she had to spend the whole day on a boat with the reject of her clan, she might just throw him overboard. That wasn't such a bad idea! Tanu knew that she was stronger than Kazuma. One hit to the jaw and then a kick to the chest and he'd be toppling over the guard rail on the fisherman's boat. Tanu frowned at that thought. No, she would pick him up, hold him over her head and then toss him off the side. That would be more satisfying! Tanu thought to herself as she released another strong punch to the wood.

Kiba had slept rather restlessly all night on the floor of the Raiken Mansion. In such a state he was very easily woken with a start when Tanu came storming through the Mansion and started taking out her rage outside. Rather drowsy and confused still the dark eyes of the Raiken peered out from behind a window to see what was up. She seemed to be pretty upset and was taking it out on whatever was nearest to her. Kiba had thought that she had gotten calmed down last night, but apparently a bad dream or something had altered her disposition. Upon closer observation he noticed that more than just her disposition was altered. Her hair! Kiba had to shove his own fist into his mouth to muffle his laughter. Recovering himself and returning to his spying he decided that now was likely not the best time to go see what was wrong with his squad mate as he himself might get caught in the line of fire. Instead he would remain in the mansion and do something about the infernal soreness that had crept into his body over night. He would need to focus on stretching properly if he really wanted to get feeling better. Still, as he locked his legs together and bent over to touch the ground with the palms of his hands he could not help but note how athletic Tanu had looked out there. What was unique about the Kun Kumo was that she was in shape and toned without looking masculine. Indeed, in as good of shape as she was Kiba could hardly feel that ashamed of ever losing to her.

With another dull hit to the wood, Tanu breathed in and out deeply to calm herself. Shaking out her hands, she figured that she was alright now. Putting her hands on her head, she turned around to head back inside. That's when she realized that her hair was sticking straight to the side. Licking her hand quickly, she attempted to use it like a light gel to push the hairs into a natural sitting spot. As she walked into the Raiken mansion, she saw Kiba stretching. She began to open her mouth to ask him if he slept alright out here on the floor, but then quickly stopped herself. Putting her hands on her hips, Tanu looked at Kiba as she cocked her head to the side. "About time you woke up," the girl stated as a mean streak sparked in her to kick Kiba in the butt while he was bending over. Tanu restrained her urge though! "You think we should get down to the shoreline? I don't know if Kane-sensei is a early riser or not," Tanu said, thinking about the impression they'd give their new sensei if they were to arrive late to the boat departure.

Kiba quickly popped up when Tanu suddenly appeared behind him. He was not sure why, but he felt like he might have just avoided serious injury to his hind quarters. A bead of sweat ran down the side of his face as he realized the Kun Kumo girl was still pretty ticked off looking. It was a funny thing. As a rival, Kiba could really get fired up against Tanu and it was often hard to tell which of the two was more hot-headed. Indeed, the young Raiken's temper could equal and even surpass Tanu's at times. And yet, despite this, his character was almost unrecognizeable when he was not competing with his squad-mate. He did not really like it when she was mad for some other reason than himself. "Uh, yeah, I did sleep a little later than usual..." Kiba said as he started to cross his arms over and under to stretch them. "Your hair doesn't look like crap anymore." he said rather absent mindedly after Tanu had finished talking. Without missing a beat, however, he continued on "Yeah, it'd probably be a good idea to head on down there if you want to." Continuing to stretch as he walked toward the door he waited on the Kun Kumo to go with him down to meet Kane.
[+2 to Tanu's next roll. This could come from either her being inspired by what could be considered a compliment with Kiba's hair comment, or the comment could just serve to fuel her aggression.]

[enter Spring 3rd]
One eye popped open, and the arm that was hanging off the edge of the bed twitched ever so slightly as the sun started to shine into the girl's room. With a small groan, Akemi began to roll over, and before she could catch herself, had rolled right off the edge of her bed, landing on the floor with a dull thud. With only her one eye still open, the girl examined her room, more like her ceiling, not wanting to move from her position on the floor. "It's too early for this...." she complained. She began to rub her eyes as she finally decided to sit up, thinking about what she had to do today, and when she really thought about it.... she had no clue. Last thing she remembered was Hamma-Sensei's little lecture from the evening before and then collapsing into bed. Thinking of her bed, still warm from her slumber, she turned to look at it for a few minutes, and with a soft sigh, turned away and got herself up off the floor and started her morning routine of getting washed up and dressed. Once done and ready for the day, she paused in the opening of her door and began to think again. She didn't know where she needed to start her day off at... So she decided it was early enough to go exploring around some more. She still didn't know the village all that well, after all, only being on the island for two whole days didn't exactly make her an expert... She could feel her bad mood setting in already, so maybe a walk in the village could do her some good... or maybe it would, who knew...

Tanu's eyes narrowed so thinly that she could barely see out of them. She glared at Kiba through the small openings between her eyelids after he commented on her hair. As he walked out the door, Tanu kicked the balled up blanket, getting it tangled in her feet in the process. "Gr!" she growled in frustration just as the blanket dropped to the floor and freed her leg. "What do I care about my hair!?" Tanu shouted as the door slammed behind her and she followed after Kiba to the shoreline. Maybe the walk down to the shoreline would calm the Kun Kumo's nerves...
