sweatdrop Yeah, I know . . . I really shouldn't necro this thread, but it forced me to think about things and work out a few kinks. Now I just don't want to get rid of it in case I finally get around to making the damned thing. I have the guild purchased, and a few subforums . . . just have to find the week to write out all that I need to.

Hence the main idea. Werewolves are fine and good, but passe.
What about were-mantis? Were-komodo? I just wish I could get the time and effort together to write down the well-developed story I have in the wings for this.

In fact, each major faction was to have their own leadership. The Pelts (mammals) were to have a power-based monarchy. Those that are strong rule, but the pack is there to temper both their strength and wisdom at any time. The greatest fighter at the mercy of his subjects lest he be dethroned.
The reptiles were to be ruled by guile and wit. They are the mind, using tricks and deception better than most. Led by a trio of were-snakes with a royal guard of komodo dragons . . . just reaching them would be a task.
The Chitons would be in hives like their non-were relations. Led by a queen Wasp at the moment, they are most known for how well they work as a group . . . and how deadly the swarm is. Worse yet, they have the subgroup of Arachnids on their side. The only group known to out-think the best of the Scutes.
Of course, each group does answer to a higher authority. A group above each that remains quiet and secretive with a solitary leader. Only ever seen in human form, it is unknown if they are of any were species . . . including the two NPC races of Arials or Vanes.

I'm beginning to wonder if I shouldn't ask for help making it . . . be an overseer and creator while others do their own work. I would need at least three, one to rule each of the major sections. I know how I want their governments to work, but the internal bits are their own . . .
