My friend told me a meaning for Kill Rock And Roll.
"So I felt like the biggest a*****e.." My friend told me that Daron ran over a bunny so he felt bad and made a song about it. She told me she named the bunny Rock N Roll. "Eat all the grass that you want." Rabbits eat grass. =3 "Accidents happen in the dark." He ran the bunny over at nighttt. "Every time I look in your eyes, every day of watching you die." The next day, he supposedly saw a rabbit that looked the same.
NOTE: I'm not sure if any of this true, as I said, my friend told me all this and it fits together. =3

I'm not sure if this is what you guys are looking for, but me and my friend are starting to think we are the only SOAD fans who don't put deep meaning behind every song (no offence to those who do). I just wanted to share my view of "Vicinity of Obscenity". The song is random lyrics. I think if a song goes "The vicinity of obcenity in your eyes", there isn't going to be much meaning behind it, especially if the chorous is "banana banana banana banana terracotta, banana terracotta, terracotta pie". See, I don't put the meaning of sex behind it. I have that belief for alot of songs. Kill Rock 'n' Roll is the same for me, although I do think the "grass" is a drug. These ones aren't on "Hypnotize", but I also give that idea to Pictures, This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song (a meaning of people being high in it, but still random lyrics), I-E-A-I-A-I-O, songs like that.

i think that attack is about how the soliders over in iraq have to attack all of the homes, villages, schools, hospitals, rapes, and pilliges. it is a really good song to listen to.

Hypnotize i think is about a guy who had a bomb in his car and this guy said "Why are you here?" then he said "I'm just stting in my car and waiting for my girl" so it was a lie and.. well. yeah whee ..

My opinion, so agree if you want
Attack: What we do in war... Dreaming: ?? Kill Rock N' Roll: An experience from Daron when he ran over a rabbit in his driveway and saw another like that one that night Hypnotize: Fashion and fad...kinda like Chic N' Stu Stealing Society: Drugs, though I don't know about the sky thing Tentative: POVs of people we're attacking U-FIG: Us in the war in desert-like Iraq..."MELT IN THE SUN"...Airborne attacks "HIDE IN THE SKY"....U-FIG (Flag waving, Ignorant Geeks) Holy Mountains: Religion and freedom from sin I think... Vicinity of Obscenity: Porn and sex...the vicinty would be the Playboy Mansion She Like Heroin: Pimps and hoes...Selling a** for heroin Lonely Day: Self-explanatory Soldier Side: How God mourns cuz us (his "Children") do dumb things to kill one another. "God is wearing black" (a funeral thing)

marcus_boyd Stealing Society: Drugs, though I don't know about the sky thing Two skies Watching it all, fading Two skies Living it all, fading
Two skies Watching it all, fading Two skies fading One's abating
Two suns Living it all, dying Two suns fighting One's abiding
Two suns Watching them both fighting Two suns Seeing them both dying I think it's about day and night. The two suns are the sun and moon. The two skies are the night sky and the day sky. They fade into each other, and they both reigned by their own suns. They fight because there are sun worshippers and moon worshippers. They continuously do this, but the sun is in the same place every day, and the moon, every night, isn't in the same place and is always waning and waxing. The sun is follwing the rules set, but the moon is sort of the rebel. They die because the when the sun fades into the night, the moon reigns, and vice-versa. Abating means: a·bate v. a·bat·ed, a·bat·ing, a·bates v. tr. 1. To reduce in amount, degree, or intensity; lessen. 2. To deduct from an amount; subtract. 3. Law. 1. To put an end to. 2. To make void. At night, this is when the drugs happen. At day, this is when you shop. All day and all night, you want to get high, and you want that high so much that you don't care that you die from it. This is very much true with drugs. Drugs make you selfish like that.

Obviously most of their songs are political, like Soldier Side and Prison Song. But as far as meanings go? I like the one for Kill Rock and Roll *giggles* poor bunny...But I don't know, I don't really want to make up meanings cuz I really don't know what half of their lyrics mean...what I do know is that Chick n Stu can't possibly have any meaning but talk about advertising and pizza pie...Oh well. Sorry I'm not of much help ^^;
