Hikari purred as Aidan played with her hair, no one had every done that before and it felt so good. "Well a Deity is a God or Goddess, those whom we pray to in times of need, or joy, thanks and forgiveness, or even when we are in pain. Each deity represents something different. Though all are there to help guide us along our life's path. I personally pray to the Goddess Artemis, the goddess of the moon and of the hunt. I find calm when I call to her, even in the most tense of situations. I'm sure you may have heard me muttering in the shower. It was a small cleansing prayer I always use." she said nodding.
Youko stopped dead in his tracks his hand grasping tightly to Val's arm. "Does he know?" he asked, still not looking at Val, even though he knew it was probably harder on her that he wasn't looking at her.
If she truly was in the state she claimed he did not even know how Raco would react to this. The normally cool and calm Raco, he knew would be a mess at the very least, but he was not sure to what measures Raco would act upon.

Aidan got it the best he could in that particular moment.
“I wonder who he prayed to that screwed him up so much….” He didn’t mean to be disrespectful, or even know for that matter that he was being disrespectful. Aidan snuggled into the smaller girl, spooning himself against her back. It would be ok… it really would, or at least that’s what he could keep telling himself. Perhaps he would start praying to this Artemis as well.
Val looked away, not letting him see the tears that were flowing freely now.
“With how much I’m avoiding him, what the hell do you think?” she asked, her voice cracking with pain. She peeled his hand from her arm and continued walking away. Well his reaction was enough at least, it was enough to tell her she should never tell Raco, and if possible she should leave. She shook violently, though she could hardly feel it. It was as though the gods were tormenting her, putting her on puppet strings and leading her down the worst possible trails for their own amusement. Val straightened her back and kept it to Youko, she had too much pride to let him see how much this hurt her. Hell she was a wreck because of it.
“You know, I would have drowned myself before I found out. I was really going to, but then you assholes had to put a babysitter on me always. Now look, it would have been better that way.” The bitter words were filled with her pain and sorrow, laced throughout with her infamous temper.

Hikari laughed, "He's not screwed up just tired. He was too young to have fully be able to handle whatever it was exactly he did. The energy it took to preform what he did was too much. He'll just have to sleep it off." she said cuddling into Aidan purring this was perfect just being here next to him like this.. "Out world depends on the laws of nature and equivalent exchange."
Youko grabbed back Val's arm and jerked her back to look at him. His gold eyes narrowed menacingly. "Don't you EVER let me hear to talk like that again." he hissed at her. His large white ears were pressed back against his head. Anger coursed through his body, Raco was oblivious to this and here she was talking about wanting to end her life when she hold a piece of his best friend within her. "You need to tell him, because eventually there will be no denying it. You dare say to me you wish to end the life of the kit that stirs within you? Raco has suffered enough loss within his life already two mates, TWO he's lost! And somehow that man still gets out of best each morning and does his job. His first killed, the second suffered the same fate, but she died in his arms after he tried to save her. Her wounds too deep and too many to even consider saving her life. Dare you take away happiness from him again?" he snarled, his fur fluffing up making his seems twice as large as usual.

Aidan smiled, being the typical easy natured cat that he was.
“so If I kiss you again like I want to I will get equivalent exchange?” He nuzzled into her, and gave her a little squeeze.
Val closed her eyes and allowed the tom to yell at her, too tired to even say a word, but when he mentioned that she would kill herself even though she possibly had a kit inside her, THAT pissed her off. The girls ears flattened and she looked right back at him with a pure hatred.
“I never said that.” Her words were low with the fire devouring her soul.
“I would never take my child’s life. You assumed that yourself. How highly you think of me Youko, sitting upon your pedestal, no I said ‘before I found the possibility’. And now you sit here and scold me on others pain, when you have no idea what this is costing just standing here taking your abuse, knowing much more will follow.” Her eyes glistened with tears unshed, but she managed to blink them away with her anger. How dare he, it would be like taking the life of Ishtar herself, and she simply could never do that.

Hikari smiled at Aidan. "You'll just have to see now won't you?" she said nuzzling into Aidan's neck. He was so warm and comfy, she could spend forever curled up with him if he let her.
Youko's eye narrowed more. "You best tell him, or I will." he said with a snarl letting go of Valiant, his tail flickering in frustration and anger. Did she have no respect for the Anbu taking her in like that had? They rarely accepted outsiders unless considered to have extreme potential and Youko always hand picked who was given invitation. Children were never brought into their rankings, even to live with them for any reason, it was too dangerous.
"Let us talk with Persephone and get this over with. I need get back to the camp and arrange the schedules for everyone tonight." he said flatly with no emotion in his tone at all, as though he could has cared less what was going on around him.

Valiant merely stared at him with hatred, how DARE he. She truly hated Youko in that moment, more then she even hated the tom that had raped her, but eventually she would get over it. He treated her like a child! She sat there and gave up everything in her life that she had left to become one of them, and yet here he was acting as though he was the best damn thing the world had ever known. She ignored him and walked away, heading toward the mansion feeling everything weigh down on her. First she would talk to Percy, and more than likely be harsher than need be. Then she would leave Youko to whatever the hell he was going to do as always, and find Raco and try to tell him what the hell was wrong with her.
Aidan purred in her ear and felt something at his back. He looked behind him and found Ishtar cuddled up into a small ball as close to the other male as possible. It seemed everyone needed comfort that night, but there was little he could do at a time like this to help anyone. Remembering what Val had said about needing to see Percy he found himself worried for the redhead, the girl had a temper, and seeing Kieran in that state must had awoken some unpleasant feelings. For now he had to worry about himself, and his brother that was in the worst critical condition any of them had been in yet.

Youko followed after her still fuming. He knew already this talk with Persy went from annoying to a pain in the a**. But there was nothing he could do about and he would make sure Val told Raco about what the hell was going on. Them sleeping together was nothing, but this was a totally different situation. Raco likely was going to take the news very hard, whether for good or bad was still beyond him though and Raco would likely hide from everyone for a few days, he wouldn't blame him.
Hikari shifted herself a little and wrapped an arm around his neck. It was her turn to do what she wanted. Her hand moved to the side of his face and she kissed him. Never had she thought Aidan and her would have grown this close, the playboy who flirted with everyone. Now both of them had been calmed, she had wooed the tiger.

Aidan kissed her back and held her close, not wanting the moment to end, all was well. Kieran would be unable to feel his pain for quite some time… and he of course did not know of Valiant and her woes. Ishtar was serene and a beautiful girl lay in his arms. What more could a guy ask for? He smiled and nuzzled her, feeling drowsy from the day and wished he felt secure enough to sleep. Everyone had gotten in too easily, he desperately needed to get more gaurds to protect the place.

Hikari smiled pressed her forehead against his again. She was starting to get drowsy herself, but she still didn't know if she could sleep yet. More than likely she would eventually pass out on Aidan and even then she wouldn't really sleep.
Her purrs resonated from deep within her chest. A small song hummed in her throat, one she knew quite well and always made her feel better. It had never really applied to her until now, and even then it didn't quite express how she felt.
She mouthed the words to herself, but no sound came out. Her fingers tapped the beat on her thigh.

Aidan felt that something was going to keep him from sleep, so he laid awake listening to Hikari hum her song. His eyes drifted half closed, he was so weary… like bits and pieces of his soul were being devoured one millimeter at a time. His half lidded eyes watched the ceiling and he took deep even breaths. It was then he heard the whimpering, Ishtar was shaking and burying his face into his back, and he heard quiet sobs, but they did not come from the child at his back. Aidan sat up quietly looking about the room, but he dreaded that he would not find the source in this area…
“Hikari, I think that Kieran is awake.”

Hikari snapped out of her rhythm and looked at Aidan. "Would you like to to get check on him so you don't disturb Ishtar?" she asked, her face plainly telling him it was of no trouble. She knew that seeing Kieran in his current state was hard enough, but having just woken up might have been a little too much for the moment.
She bit at her bottom lip, even she was a little scared to check on Kieran, but the poor man needed some attention. He'd been through so much, he needed comforting, and he needed it from those he loved the most. But sometimes the kindness of a stranger meant a lot as well.

“No, I do believe we will all see him together.” He twisted his body so he could lay eyes upon the sleeping Ishtar, the boy was quivering in a cold sweat and he felt for the first time since the kitten’s birth a pang of guilt for never being there. Aidan lightly shook the nephew he barely knew and whispered sweetly for him to wake up. Immediately he was relieved when Ishtar opened one sleepy eye and then another.
“Shall we go save your pa?” He asked while lifting the boy into his arms. With minimal shifting he held out his other hand to hikari.
“Shall we tend to our wounded love?”
Yes they should all see the male together; after all they were all he had in that moment.

She nodded and smiled, all together was an ever better idea and it would certainly be good for Kieran. Company always warmed the heart, right? She took Aidan's hand and stood up, kissing his cheek. "Yes, I think that sounds like a good idea." she said purring in his ear.
For a brief while they would be a little family, a strange and dysfunctional one, disconnected and scatter brained, tired and worn out, but a family nonetheless.
She leaned into the room where Kieran lay ahead of Aidan and squeaked open the door. "Kieran..." she called out softly to him.

Aidan followed Hikari a bit reluctantly he heard whimpering and what he observed in the room made his blood run cold. Kieran lay in a semi circle whimpering and covered in sweat. He was mumbling inaudible words that were impossible to work out. Aidan made his way into the room holding Ishtar who was now wide awake. He was speechless at the sight, even though all this had happened, he could still lose his brother. The thought was a numb one, but he could not handle any burning emotions in that time
Ishtar regained consciousness as Aidan carried him to his father. The child felt himself cursing inwardly… his futile attempts had done little but close the wound… his father’s wound was one not so visible.
“You may put me down now.” He said quietly and climbed out of Aidan’s arms. The small cat made a prayer while walking over to his father and hoped that all would be well. Once there he gently lifted his father’s head to his lap and smoothed back the hair from his damp forehead. It was a horrible sight.

Hikari put a hand over her mouth and pressed herself against Aidan. The last time she really seen Kieran he had been cheerful and fun loving, it was horrible to see him now is such horrible condition. She watched Ishter try to console his father, she wanted to cry, but she held her tears back as best she could.
She bit down on her bottom lip again and chewed on it. After a deep breath she squeezed Aidan's hand and inched her way towards Kieran all the while it was becoming harder and harder to hold her tears back. The sight of Ishtar with his father was terrible, no child should every have to see their parent in such a state.
