"Chae had decided that wouldn't care for three children, so we let his friend adopt her." Ivy looked away as that was the hardest thing she had ever done in her life and hoped it would never be a choice she would have to make again. "The friend raised her away from here as a warrior, then when she was old enough she came back here. She's been wandering the isle, trying to learn all she can since."

A friend adopt? The thought of his life without his beautiful Dyas...the pain of never seeing her twin Arlie...The demonic slowed so he could put an arm around Ivy's shoulders comfortingly. "You're a very strong woman."

Ivy smiled, "Thank you." Was she really? If she would have been strong she wouldn't have let him send Alicia away. She sighed at the thought. "I'm just happy she found her way home." She tried not to think on the sad thoughts and remembered that Alicia was back and didn't blame her.

"And you can now make up for lost time." He spoke with a nod before continuing on. The cave was beginning to take shape, and he smiled with pride at being able to show off his daughter. Hopefully she would be done picking things for the salad.

"Yes, exactly." She smiled, she was really happy about that. "So, how close are we?" She felt her stomach growl as she was getting hungry. She was also anxious to meet his daughter.

"I'd say fairly close." The male laughed softly. "Unless you meant how far we are from the cave. We're almost there." Every step brought them closer to the cave. And when he reached the entrance, he softly called in. "Dyas? Come on out."
The female looked up from her food preparation in the living room. Immediately she stopped what she was doing to stand and walk towards her father, ever the obedient daughter.

Ivy sucked in her breath as she waited for his daughter. What if she didn't accept her, what if....She shook her head to clear the 'what ifs' and smiled. She didn't want to think about those. She instead waited for this wonderful girl to meet.

And there she was. She looked so much like her mother. "Ivy, this is Dyas. Dyas, Ivy is my date. She'll be joining us for dinner."
Wait, wait. Whoa. DATE? Dual colored eyes simply stared in shock at the elder as she tried to compute the previous sentence. Slowly, the female smiled and extended her hand towards Ivy. Best be polite now and question later.

Ivy smiled and took Dyas' hand. She shook it gently. "It's very nice to meet you. Raken has told me all about you." She let go of the girl's hand and then nodded to Raken. "I hope I'm not imposing." She didn't want Dyas to feel that she had to let Ivy dine with them.

The female shook the others hand before giving it a quick squeeze, hoping to get Ivy's attention back. She quickly shook her head before pointing to the smile on her face.
The male chuckled. "Not imposing at all. She's saying she's happy to have you over. It's not often we have company. Please, come inside."

"Thank you so much." Ivy said to the girl. "I'm happy to be here and meet you." Ivy smiled at the girl and then took Raken's hand again. She felt a huge relief as the girl didn't seem upset and was happy for Ivy to be there. "One kid down, more to go." She giggled to Raken. This was one meeting now the other child she and he had. She hoped they all took it ok.

Dyas quickly turned and walked back inside at her fathers mention of going in. She had to make up a third bowl, and fast!
"Perhaps we should make a checklist." He chuckled dryly before lacing their fingers and leading them both inside. "My caretaker being the last one." If Tartara knew...

"Yeah, that may be good. Dyas, check..nest my kids and their families and the rest of yours." She didn't worry about her caretaker. She hadn't seen hers since she grew up and made her own family. She walked with Raken into the house. "I bet your salad is great!"

A light blush appeared on her face at the compliment. She sat down and got back to work of putting in more lettuce into the big bowl along with the wild radishes. It was her dad's favorite healthy meal with wild radishes, chopped carrots, and a assortment of wild nuts and berries. All safe to eat of course.
"And their families?" She just might have a larger family then he did. His siblings had families, but his little Dyas only had a boyfriend. He motioned at the couch. "You could sit if you'd like to. By the looks of it, Dyas should be done soon."
