Uzi paused a few moments later debating where to go next, if there was room to move them further up of if she should chance a jump to a bigger taller nearby tree. Falling would most likely injure them both badly but making the jump would be quite an accomplishment.


" I have no idea' Eli admitted" But I doubt they'll come down till they are ready."

" Not bad, getting more foxes than anything right about now but they still bring in the money." Once his uncle was better he might go out on longer more extensive hunts for more lucrative prey though.

" Ahh well like everything else it's a learned trade and it's not for everyone, still could take you sometime if you like" Eli offered. He didn't know if the other redhead would enjoy it though.

Uzi leapt from one tree trunk to another a few feet away , the impact was jarring and she slid a few feet before her claws took firm hold. Ok so climbing was not so easy all the time.

" A few, about half I think based on what I saw at the ball" Not bad really though there were still very few of them, probably for the best while they tried ti keep their essentics secret.

" I think perhaps we should stop." Uzi didn't want to admit defeat but trees were not her forte. Certainly she'd proven she could climb and with a passenger at that, but it wasn't pretty or as graceful as when she ran.

" Found yourself the accidental center of attention?" Eli didn't mind company but he'd have been unnerved if the ranch had suddenly became a magnet for other's with essentics. He preferred his life to not change too much too suddenly.

"How do we get back down?" Zia asked, looking at the ground.

" Carefully" Uzi teased, ok well perhaps the thought was honest, the essentic was not quite sure how to get back down without going headfirst and sending Zia tumbling over her shoulders. Golden eyes glowed brightly as she tried to figure out the best way to maneuver them safely back to solid ground. " It will be difficult" she'd have to try and jump down using lower branches as landing and launching pads to keep it from being freefall, the large proto could only hoped they'd support her weight.

Eli nodded slowly " You know I've still actually not seen the carnival itself" he mused. " Clearly I'll have to make some returns trips." Assuming Uzi didn't kill Zia getting out of the tree and getting them both banned.

The huntress gave a low rumble of affirmation and began a swift and not to steady descent to the ground. She landed a minute later and it was jarring enough to actually hurt but not enough to break anything. Still it had been a success and perhaps next time she would attempt to climb buildings or things of the like with more room to maneuver on.

" We certainly will be then"

Uzi wondered how Zia didn't managed to end up with only bone wings wondering how easy it seemed for it to loose it's cards and feathers, surely they only grew back so fast. The essentics eyes glowed bright for a moment and with a sudden lunge forward she was off again. Yes she was fast, she was built for speed to race across the land and take down any prey or face any opponent that challenged her. The large proto was capable of friendliness and fun but she was made to be a killer and it was as much a part of her as anything else.
