Theres this local band called igor and the skindiggers and my brother says they're just like gwar but a bit more extreme. In other news, Pain is going to see slayer on their unholy alliance tour with special guests lamb of god, behemoth and i can't remember who else all of a sudden.....

Definitely the In Flames show I went to with Trivium and Devildriver. The whole lineup played well (I missed ZAO so I can't comment) and was intense, Trivium played some badass Damageplan/Pantera stuff and that was crazy. Then on comes (as the whole crowd said it) In ******** Flames. They were just incredible, the whole set (I didn't even pay attention to how long it was) was perfect, they never missed a beat or anything like that. The crowd was behind them the whole way and everybody 'sang' along, it was ridiculous. One thing that pissed me off was that nobody was headbanging the whole time, I was like "this is a f'n metal show, headbang." Oh well, it was definitely worth the money, I talked about it more in my journal somewhere. I just looked and it seems that you can't see my entries from feb 21-mar1 so I'll quote it from another site and oh yeah, I'm the 666th member eek Quote: Tremont's security was pretty gay not letting people on stage, but that's to be understood, whatever.
Whatever the case, get there at 8 and Devildriver is already playing. Umm...yep, saw like half their set, I wish the bald guy used the viper but the eclipse was used...:/ umm...incredible doublebass...they were filming for the DVD, wish I had gotten in sooner so I could've been in all the insanity and made everybody crazy (this crowd was pretty weak the whole time, no headbangers crying )
On to trivium, I got closer this time and it was pretty cool, better than everybody said they were. Oh yeah, like regor said they played everything faster, so almost as fast as I play but not quite there. I liked it a lot aside from some of their not-so-awesome songs, but like light to the flies, the deceived and pull harder make up for those. Some crowd action, not a lot. They played 2 Pantera/Damageplan songs, I've never really listened to those guys but it was sick, some incredibly fast s**t 'demolition' or something like that was crazy.
In flames was pretty sick, the crowd energy was insane. I've never really been into in flames so I don't know any of their songs but shouted along with everybody and continued to be like the 1/20 people headbanging...umm, the dude's new ESP EXP was pretty cool, he played it for like a song or two. They just kept going and going and going.
Best part was, he asked about who had all the CDs and all that jazz, who knew all the lyrics. Then this freaking behemoth swedish-looking ******** gets on stage from the crowd. This guy has like 4 foot long hair and owns that ******** stage. He was so much better than the actual singer imo. The singer said that guy was by far the best dude they've had come up, he ripped the place up, the crowd was like 200% behind him, it was awesome.
Oh yeah, I mentioned nobody headbanged, that was gay. I dunno about you guys, but metal requires headbanging, not gayness so that pissed me off. Oh well, it was well worth the money imo.

Welll, i've been to some concerts, a few, but not many metal ones, because they either have hardcore on them or metalcore and all sorts of stuff, but the best metal METAL concert that I have been to is Heavy Metal Halloween with Anthrax as the Headliners exclaim xd .The sound was insane and Charlie Benante's Doble Bass drum fill and repetitions were really great and thunderous.. the were felt across the amphitheater. There were sing alongs, mosh pits, crowd surfing, and the unusual gril on the guys shoulders showing a verry nice g-string. Kick a** metal concert!!! domokun

LOUDNESS.
that's right. the Iron Maiden of Japan. their first U.S. tour in some 16 years or so. my friends Evan, John, and I were all crying, headbanging, and screaming along with some giant black guy next to me, to our favorite songs "Crazy Doctor" and "Crazy Night". what a ******** great show.

Just reading through some of the responses.
A lot of people seem to have chosen Opeth, which makes me more than 200% sure that I am going to throughly enjoy their concert here in a few weeks time. NZ band Subtract is opening for them. It's going to be an experience I shall never forget.
I guarentee I will be back in here informing you all that it was the best ever.

ive been to a whole lot of concerts, but unfortunatly i think none of them were metal, even though both me and my stepdad are metal freaks hes been to a whole ninja -load of them. but the only concerts that are somewhat close to metal is either stryper or firehouse... sweatdrop

yomi.frillymonkeys The best metal show I ever saw was Motorhead...I was so close to the stage that Lemmy SPIT ON ME. So what's the best show any of you have ever been to? I've been to a lot of shows, and quite a few motorhead ones, but i've never been spat on.. Anyways, I would say my favorite 3 shows I went to, would be: 1)Motorhead concert in 88 2)Metallica Concert in 86 And An Annihilator concert in '92

blackenedheartafi The best concert i went to was last night at the Metallica/ Stones concert because i went back stage I went to that one and I was soooooo glad Metallica played there old stuff but I went to the Rob Zombie "Educated Horses" concert not too long ago and the stage effects made the whole show great

the best show i have ever been to i would have to say last week in PA for baghead...it was insaine a bunch of stoners beating the s**t out of each other with foam sticks for like an hour...dude ever one got the crap beat out of them and loved it... no thats metal

DemetriusDarkus well the latest show ive been to was Devildriver and Opeth it was kick a** i cannot have a favorite.......until i gte to see gorgoroth and legion 1349 Gorgoroth and 1349? holy s**t, that's gonna be insane. my favorite show was seeing Japanese heavy metal legends, LOUDNESS. for those of you who haven't heard of them, imagine if Iron Maiden came from Japan, but they only had one guitarist, and he was better than anyone in Maiden. I touch Akira Tagasaki's guitar while he played the sweeps on the song "Crazy Doctor". it was amazing heart
