BogiePop thats funny and i love the user name Thanks and I'm totally serious. One day they gave me the boy toy instead of the girl toy, I was like "MAI HAMBURGER TRANSFORMS." And as my brother had taped every single episode of G1 on the VCR, I got to see them all. Never liked Armada though, or G2, even as a kid I didn't like them. -can't remember why because she's just now rewatching g1- But when I saw the new movie come out I was just like. "Yes, maybe my fries will transform again." I think the ice cream was a Decepticon.

The CGI work on the Transformers in the 2007 movie. I had never seen anything like it in my life. I wanted to repeat any scenes involving them over and over again.
I knew what Transformers were and remembered the shows on TV and the toys in the 90s, but I never payed any attention until they hit the big screen. Literally, I gasped upon seeing assorted vehicles circle around Sam and Mikaela, then transform into sentient, autonomous...robots.
I thought they were Real. Tangible. Right. There. Came out of the movie theatre stunned; "wishing those giant tooth fairies were real."

I still am wary of police cars.

I just turned on my TV and started watching it. But didn't most of you people who where born in the 1980s watch Knight rider?

Panzerfaust99 I just turned on my TV and started watching it. But didn't most of you people who where born in the 1980s watch Knight rider? I was born in 1990, and I watch Knight Rider on this retro tv station(Theme song to that show ROCKS). My brother watched that and TF religiously as a kid though. He introduced me to a lot of 80s programming and such, so I like a lot of it. :]

You mean we couldn't watch both Knight Rider AND Transformers? confused
(And I agree about the KR theme song. The opening riff is enough to hit you like a ton of bricks.)

Transformers is the only modern TV show I watch. No I am not a old person, I was born in 1992. But I love old shows.

(woops lol). I'm more of a cartoon fan so 80's cartoons are more familiar to me.

I first watched Beast Wars, bought some toys, then didn't watch any Transformers for 5 years (Or was it 6?) or so, then I turned on the TV one day and I wathced an episode of Transformers: Cybertron, bought Scattershot, then went on YouTube to watch some more, then it all progressed from there...

I first got into it when I was younger watching TV. Transformers Armada came on and I simply fell in love with it. I was obsessed for about 3 years. My obsession was recently brought back when I saw the second movie. OMG IT WAS AWESOME! Sure, Prime looked weird with flames, (I hate you Michael Bay!) but still, it was awesome! I almost flipped when Megatron killed Optimus. I was all like "OMG! eek He can't be dead!"

Well, I had always kinda liked transformers, but I really got hooked after seeing the 'o7 movie. Jazz and Bumblebee and Optimus, and I've been hooked ever since. Pit, I was hooked during the opening sequence, when Blackout made an entrance. Ah, sweet obsession <3

I got hooked on Transformers: Beast Wars when I was a little girl, as that was the series that was airing at the time. I thought it was so cool! I loved that thing! But as my family doesn't watch a lot of TV- I still don't really- I didn't get to see all that much of it and eventually it was taken off the air so I just didn't see it anymore and totally forgot about it. I would see reminders of Transformers, of all series, toys, cartoons, merchandise, the occasional reference on TV or in forums, but nothing that ever really made me want to get back into it. I assumed that now that I am older I wouldn't like it as much as I did when I was a child and that it would ruin my fond memories of it. Oh how wrong I was! biggrin
Then they started advertising for the new Transformers Live Action movie and my curiosity was suddenly peeked once again. So I got online and started doing some research and ran into the original 80s cartoons. I LOVED it! Sooo much! heart Even more than I did Beast Wars, which I later went back and watched all episodes until my inner child was content which of course led me to Beast Machines which I also love because its just so steam punk! biggrin
I think G1 has become my favorite TV series of Transformers. Still debating on the comics.
All things considered I'm not so much "new" to the fandom as I am inexperienced but I'm hoping to change that fast! Which is why I was so excited to find a Guild for it here on Gaia!
I'm so happy! biggrin
