saraht0nin Well, first off congratulations because this is the only guild I can see myself being continuously active in.
Secondly, hi.
I'm Sarah, and I have been a Bowie fan since about ninth grade.
I have actually never seen Labyrinth, which will soon be corrected, but I heard "Starman" and I quickly got obsessed, thus committing David Bowie to being the only artist whose music I buy and don't steal.
My Bowie obsession however didn't start until I started watching "Demyx Time."
"You must face east on the David Bowie mat, say his name five times and 'dance magic dance,' or the rain will never come!? ...your prayers to David Bowie do not bring the rain Demyx."
I also think he should have his own holiday, if not his own religion of rabid fans.
You know right now I feel like I'm in Alcoholics Anonymous for Bowieites.
"Hi I'm Sarah and I'm addicted to David Bowie." You're awesome! SO nice to meet you. We have other members in the guild that got into Bowie through Demyx. You should totally watch Labyrinth, I was thinking of hosting a Group Date in the Video Lounge, you should join us. It will be a-mazing. xd

Haha, well thank you I guess?
And by Sunday I will have seen it because I'm going to my Uncle's house on the way to a studio workshop in Boston and he has it.
So I'm just gonna be like "You remind me of the babe" all week.
Those poor Bostonites will have to deal with me doing some magic dances.

Hi. I'm Surraine. My father loves Bowie so I've listened to him all of my life but I didn't become a fan until the first time I saw Labyrinth as a child (which remains, to this day, my favorite Bowie movie). It's funny I should get this guild invite right now, as I am currently exhausted from staying up last night having a Bowiefest in my room while not studying or doing my labs for class today. Heh.

Aww, it amazes me how many people have been touched by Labyrinth (including myself) to the point where we just become a die-hard Bowie fan. That movie has some real magic in it!!

Ello. I'm Kat. I've been a fan of Bowie since I first saw him in Labyrinth and when I was able to buy his albums on my own, I did fanatically. Lol. I hope I get to have fun here. I haven't found a lot of people who actually like Bowie out there. So, thanks for the invite. I know it's gonna be worth it. ^_^

Bowiefest: it wasn't an all out Bowiefest. There was no wine or icecream or Labyrinth, sorry to say. Just good music and some concert videos. (Ok, technically there was Labyrinth because the soundtrack was part of the Bowie centered aural festivities.)

Hey, I had a really great idea this morning and I don't know if there's anything like it so far. It would be cool to have a Bowie video night on Gaia, where someone uploaded Bowie movies and videos to the vid-lounge and everyone came together at an appointed time/day to watch it. Some wouldn't work, I don't think - content rules being what they are.
Is this an event/function that already exists?

I would have had one already, but the Video I had posted up in the Video Lounge got deleted, so I have to repost it! Check out this thread - Group Video Lounge Date - and let me know a good date/time for you, so I can start getting a better idea of when the event should be planned for!
