It wasn’t loud or intimidating in any way but his rank scared the s**t out of every person here and immediately and the entire group’s stance became ridged and crisp, even the man about to be lectured knew he had just made a mistake and was desperately backpedaling but there was always that one sore spot amongst a group and there she stood with her tricked out uniform that just barely made regulation. Tattoos all over her body and the highly reflective leather suit where the only thing that resembled a Shinigami uniform was the black and white color combo. Today she decided to dress up and applied a blood red lipstick and applied heavy eye-liner with a smokey eye shadow. So even though her body was slightly boyish her face was painted with enough makeup to make her look feminine enough to where people looking at her would quickly recognize her as a female. Needless to say she stood slack with her arms folded over her chest and hip cocked to the side with an irritated glare while she looked at both the captain and his officer. Sighing softly she looked off as the broken bone came into view.
She tried to fight it back but a smile came to her lips as a sharp breath came through her lips. ”At least he has backbone...” she thought to herself which she quickly recovered with a snide, ”But it looks like he’s the only one within this entire squad. Look at them all.” her eyes took in the fear that washed over the entire group and the lack of color any of them had within there faces from witnessing there captains display of discipline. Quickly and curiously she looked back to the captain an her eyebrow arched with a suspicious tone. With one little gesture everyone quickly began to leave, a few where going to brave up to actually talk to him but after that display they all decided to leave, all except for Alex. She stood remaining with her arms folded over her chest glaring at him.
Alex stood unmoved glaring at him, ”What a p***k, staring at me with that creepy as s**t grin.” shifting slightly in spot she slid her foot out and cocked her hip while placing her hand lazily upon the hilt of her sword. If anybody had half a mind they would know she was not originally meant for this squad and her very assassin like gear would prove that, with a belt with reinforced pockets lined her waist while a loop hooked around her leg just under her a** cheek. There was a hood upon the jacket that could also be zipped up to cover her entire face which would hide every inch of her flesh. However to anybody that knew her would know from her signature Rietsu would quickly recognize the masked warrior. In any case the fact that every surface area of her body was hid would be intimidating all in it’s own.
Looking at her gloved hand which had small claws built into the fingertips she nodded with an “uninterested-in-your-speech” attitude. Looking back up she gave him a very forced sarcastic grin, and her tone held so much malice it could melt the paint right off a porcelain dolls face, ”Yeah but we’re both smarter than that Captain.” she shook her head and turned away slightly, she looked off towards the area where she would be staying with the rest of the group, ”I don’t need the details, but what’s the real reason I’m here?” her voice still held a malicious tone while she glanced back at him with a wicked but curious glare. Yamoto couldn't help but laugh at Alex's last statement. "The is no real reason you are here. You think you would be a fitting member of squad 2, but I think squad 5 could serve you better. Also I am interested in seeing an assassin style kido user. Every one else here is either a person who thinks the zanpakuto is a barbaric weapon and just uses kido, or they use both the zanpakuto and kido, but do it like a brute. A true kido master combines Haduko and Kido to make attacks beautiful, but deadly at the same time. That is why you are here. You will be trained to use reiatsu to make your body a lethal weapon and on top of that you will become a skilled kido user. Now if don't like this you could just leave, but if you want to see what I am talking about I could show you through a demonstration."

Arching an eye brow in response she simply huffed and shook her head as she slowly began to make her way towards the sleeping quarters. ”Whatever captain, you’re the boss.” at his last statement she paused and turned to look at him. He said the magic word “demonstration” which meant practice which meant she would have the opportunity to actually test out her skills on an opponent that didn’t require her to hold back. Her expressionless face quickly turned to devilish grin, turning towards him she dropped her bag of belongings and took a readied stance just ten feet away from him. She slid her sword from her belt and her one hand clung to it loosely at her side. The other hand twitched ready to pull the blade from the sheath.
And here I thought this guy was just a weirdo, but he’s turning out to be mildly entertaining.
”Again Captain, you know we both know I can’t simply just leave.” she dropped to a defensive stance and her hand snapped to the blade’s hilt ready to draw, ”It ain’t ever that easy Boss.” her lip curled even more as her muscles flexed ready to burst as a coiled up spring.

"Well I see you are very eager, but I would rather not blow up my office area, so if we could move this to the training grounds that would be better." Yamoto sighed as he turned around and began to walk back into his office. "I just need to get one thing." The captain walked through the threshold of the room and into the clutter that was his office. There were papers everywhere, and Yamoto really couldn't ever find a thing in here. "Damn I really wished I had a vice captain right now." Yamoto smiled as he thought about the reaction a new vice captain would have about cleaning up this entire mess. "Oh well now not the time for that, now where are you?" The shinigami searched the entire room high and low for a short period of time, but couldn't find what he was looking for. "If I were a zanpakuto where would I hide." Yamoto scanned the room looking for the answer, and suddenly his eyes stopped dead on a large wooden cabinet that blended in with the wooden walls around it. "Ah yes that is where I put you." The captain opened the doors of the storage container to find his zanpakuto , and various other things such as scrolls and two or three training zanpakuto. The captain grabbed his blade and mounted it on his left side. "Now this I cannever forget." The captain hadn't worn his zanpakuto in a while, seeing as Yamoto hadn't gotten serious in a battle for quite a while.
"This girl may be new, but she is a lot tougher than any other recruit I have ever seen come out of the academy." Yamoto walked out of his office and back to see the rather angry face of Alex looking at him. "Shall we go?"

((OOC: Sorry it took me so long...)) Alex couldn’t help but chuckle as the Captain mentioned about not wanting to blow his office up, this was her reaction to instead of blowing up in his face for insulting her as he just did. Or so she felt... Though she did make mistakes here and there simply because she was relatively new to using a sword. Although many other students had created there own swords they where forbidden from learning the names of it until they had proven strong enough to wield it. She had not created her sword but simply used a simple Soul Cutting Sword. It looked painfully default and held no personality. Many other’s would be able to recognize her sword not being a Zanpacto. It was her honest belief that it would be an insult to her swords soul if she where NOT allowed to learn the blades name and use it as a simple tool. For her, the whole spiritual connection between a Shinigmai and their weapon was almost religious and very personal. So until she was allowed to create and learn the name of her sword she refused to use a Zanpacto.
As the man turned to go into his office Alex quickly hopped onto his deck and leaned against the door frame as he searched his cluttered work space. Listening to him for a moment she chimed in a slightly frustrated tone, ”No vice-captain huh?” she paused as if in thought then continued, ”We had heard rumors, but no Vice-Captain?” she chuckled to herself.
When the man turned around her face fell back to it’s lethal glare unamused by the unprofessional look of his office area. She quietly blurted out to him as she turned to walk towards the training grounds, ”Always captain...” it held a malicious yet dry tone.

The morning was indeed young, the dew just starting to settle on the grass and cherry blossoms to give the squad grounds a soft but brilliant look to it. Actually, had it not been for the fact that he rarely slept past the early morning Kenshin would have thought he was asleep. The scene looked almost as if he had stepped into a painting with the sun just barely cresting over the trees tops and roofs to buildings. "I wonder if he remembers me." His voice was little more then a fearful whisper as he looked up at the captain's office. It had been almost six years to the day since he had seen the man that resided in this office. Six years to the day since he was viciously beaten by a group of teenagers and saved, he assumed, by the man. Six years to the day since he had been admitted to the shinigami academy and his life changed.
It had been a quiet day in the Rukongai. Even the thugs seemed to have taken the day off, leaving the frail child to enjoy his moment of relative peace. Sighing he walked into the afternoon sun. He had to squint his eyes, the glare coming off of his remarkably pale skin burning his abnormal eyes. 'I guess I should try and find some food...' It seemed as though that was one of the only things he thought about lately; eating and staying out of peoples' way. Kenshin stayed to the shadows as he walked, hair over his eyes incase he had come across anyone. Unfortunately the day soon took a turn for the worse as seven large teenagers spotted him.
"What in the hell are you doing here, Freak?" One of them shouted at him as he took the lead. "I thought we told you that you were to stay away from here." The closer the pack leader got, the more he rose his voice. All of them looked alike; facial features close enough to make them related. Suddenly the sun didn't seem to shine so bright, the colors dulling with the growing animosity in the air. "Leave." This time the voice came from somewhere in the back, the rest of the men calling out jeers in agreement.
First a single push, then another and another. They were tossing Kenshin this way and that, oblivious to the damage that they were actually doing; bruises already forming underneath the worn cape that he wore as a covering. "Please stop..." His voice was weak and filled with pain. It never ended. No matter how many times he ran, they caught up. No matter how many times he tried to hide, they found him. It was sad really. When he looked around he saw just how strong souls were; how he was supposed to be but wasn't. Another hard push and he was on the ground. He felt something snap and a familiar pain surge through his system. Tears started to roll down his alabaster cheeks.
"Hey look! The freak is crying you guys." One of the boys called, his laughter ringing out like a hyena's cackle. "Give 'em what he deserves!" Another one called and all seven moved in on him. Soon the group split into two sections; one that insisted on kicking the child, the other that firmly believed on getting on one knee to hit him. When they heard his pleas for mercy they only laughed harder and continued their beat down. Soon their hands were well coated with the little boy's blood.
It seemed as though the teenagers weren't going to quit. As it was he would have to rely on luck for someone to find him and heal him. "Stop..." His voice was little more then a whisper. "Stop.." It sounded as though he was gargling with his own blood. "Stop!" Closing his eyes he yelled as loudly as he could, imagining the three men kneeling beside him with their arms locked behind their backs. In a pulse of energy the young boy got his wish, a slightly opaque wrapping of violet energy strapping their limbs to their sides. Then it all stopped. Looking up he saw three of them teens rolling on the ground as they tried to release themselves from the binding wrap. They were shouting obscenities at the others but the four which had been kicking him didn't budge. Then Kenshin's vision started to blur, the last image he saw clearly was a man dressed in odd clothing for the Runkongai. "Who... who are you?" He managed to get the question out, but faded away before he could get an answer.
Kenshin hadn't seen the man since that day, but had come to find out later that his name was Yamoto Shiboo, a captain in the thirteen court guards. He often wondered what had happened that day after he faded off into a blissful state of unconsciousness but it was as if the thugs had disappeared, and what little time he had outside of the academy was spent training so he could pass his tests or looking for the men that attacked him that day. Now that he was standing before the fifth division captain's office though, he worried if he would regret asking what happened. He walked slowly to the door, knocking twice before waiting for an answer. 'I hope he's here.'

"Come in." Yamoto looked at the door waiting for the new recruit to come in a introduce himself. Yamoto was rather interested in this kid because when the captain saw the picture of the boy he felt like he had met him somewhere before. "It will probably be cleared up once he introduces himself."

Timidly the boy pushed the door open, stepped over the threshold and walked in to his new captain's office. Standing at three feet and nine inches he was just over the average height for an office desk. "Hello Captain Shiboo." His voice was low, almost fearful, as he bowed and momentarily disappeared behind the desk. "My name is Tachibana, Kenshin; I'm one of your new recruits. It's a pleasure to finally be able to meet you. I'm not sure if you remember or not, but we've come across one another once before." His eyes twinkled from behind the hood of his cloak. "A few years back in the Rukongai, before I was admitted to the academy, I was caught between a rock and a hard place of sorts." He looked towards the ground as the memories came flooding back. They were fuzzy, and somewhat out of place, but the main idea was still there. "I don't remember much from that day. Just that a few of the local teenagers wanted me gone, and were planning on making it permanent. The last thing I can remember is you, Captain." Rubbing the back of his neck he finally realized how creepy he probably sounded, but in those years the mad had become somewhat of an idol of his.
Proceeding to look at the ground and hold his fingers that were now swelling he waited for a response. Anything really, just something to break the awkward silence. His tanto silently swung from left to right in front of him.

Akemi snuck in behind the man, silently listening to him. Once he had said his piece she bull rushed the small boy and wrapped her arms around him, her right breast, if the small rises in her chest could even be called such, pressed into his head as she leaned around to look at him, causing her two blond ponytails to fall downward as her soft, honey colored, eyes locked with his. "Cheer up Kenny-chan, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the candy is ever flowing! Yay. Oh I know what will cheer you up!" She let go of him and dug around in her large bag for a bit before plucking out a sucker much like the one in her mouth. Akemi quickly unwrapped it and shoved it into Kenshin's face, attempting to put it into his mouth for him. "CANDY! Candy will make all your misery fade away and make you happy. HA-PPY KENNYCHAN!!!!!!" Then she turned to give her own introduction, revealing something that the captain had seen this whole time, but something Kenshin would see now for the first time. Akemi's skirt had shifted. Whereas normally it would have slit down the side of her left leg it instead had shifted so that it was now behind her and as she leaned over onto the captain's desk to introduce herself her pink, striped, shimapan just before they would be thrust into the young boys face as she leaned into the desk and propped her head up on her elbows. "Hiya Cap'n Shiiboo ... no .. Shiiboo-taicho ... I have one important question for you before I say anything else." She removed the lollipop from her lips before she asked it. "Can I ... call you ...BOO-SENSEI!? BecauseThatWouldBeLike-a-TOOOOOOtalyCuteNicknameForYouCaptainAnd-I-ThinkThat-A-TotallyCuteCaptainNeeds-A-TotallyCuteNickname." Her words seemed to flow out of her mouth at a thousand miles a minute without that lolli blocking her way, it was like listening to an auctioneer on speed. She replace the blue sucker in her mouth after giving the captain a view of her blue tongue. "Oh, and I'm Akemi Chitsuhana, your new supercute recruit." She lifted off of his desk, blew him a kiss and then flashed a peace sign before realizing her uniform malfunction. She promptly adjustd the skirt back to its proper position.

Yamoto smiled as he heard the young boy's story. "Ah so that is why I found your picture so familiar." Yamoto hadn't had just been promoted to the rank of captain around that time, so he had preferred to walk around on patrol in just a regular shinigami uniform. He was doing a routine inspection of one of the district when he noticed a couple teenagers beating a rather small boy. The captain knocked out each of the attacker rather easily, and took the small boy to the local healer. The captain felt bad as he never gone back to check on the kid, but since the boy was standing in front of the captain right he guessed it work out for the best. "Well Kenshin it is a pleasure to welcome to squad 5, and I see your have from your report you are very skilled in kido, but the report also say you are rather shy and timid when it comes to other forms of combat." Before Yamoto could say anything else his second recruit popped out from behind Kenshin.
It was like the two recruits were the polar opposites when it came to personality. Akemi's energy couldn't be contained in the captain office and probably the rest of squad 5's perimeter either. The captain couldn't help but laugh at the antics of the girl and how uncomfortable Kenshin was getting. This should work out well. The girl then begin to address Yamoto directly. "Boo-Sensei? Well it's not normal, but what the hell a new nickname might be fun." Yamoto tried to keep his eyes focused on the girl face as he had noticed that her skit wasn't adjusted properly and revealing her panties. He also noticed that Kenshin was was now getting flashed by the same spectacle he was seeing. He sighed with relief as the girl noticed her wardrobe mishap and quickly fixed it. "Akemi welcome to squad 5."
The captain laughed as he stood up to address both new shinigami. "Well now that we have gotten introductions out of the way, please feel free to ask me any question?"

Arashi nodded and walked in.
"I was told by Captain Kei of Squad 4 that you were the one to talk to about kido training? I'd like to improve on my kido... the best I can do is a level 9 bakudo, which won't get me very far in any training situation. I mean, i'm good with my sword and all, but kido is just so helpful. Anyways.... I was wondering if I might be able to gain some training, if that is ok with you Captain Yamoto.

The feeling that Kenshin had wash over him was reminiscent of prey being stalked. Just as he turned his head to look at who was behind him he was encompassed in a foreign embrace. Unbeknownst to the woman behind him small welts were surely forming underneath his shihakusho, bruises outlining where her arms wrapped around him. Kenshin cleared his throat while doing his best to hide the pain now shooting up and down his arms. "Ex... excuse me Miss..." He managed to speak around her attempts to shove the lollipop into his mouth. Reaching up to grab the sucker he winced as he stretched the new colorations of his skin. "Uh... thank you..." He whispered, looking down towards his feet. 'Great... another super hyper person. This is going to be like the academy all over again...' Once the thought and memories passed he looked up, coming nearly face to rump with the other new recruit, Akemi. After looking away and nearly joking on his gift he managed to find the words he was looking for, " Erm... Akemi... your underwe..." but by the time he had spoken she had adjusted her skirt, fixing the malfunction, and making Kenshin wonder if he had indeed seen what he did.
Kenshin nodded. 'Timid would be putting it lightly.' He thought, speaking up to explain things more clearly for his new captain. "While I guess you could put it that way, it'd be more truthful to say that I'm cautious of the other combat forms more then I am timid or shy of them. You see... I have a disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, and a severe enough case of it that hand to hand combat is all but out of the question as is swinging any form of weaponry." His barely audible voice perfectly matched his soft demeanor. Looking between Akemi and the Captain he spoke up, "Well, I guess I should ask where we will be staying. Are we rooming in barracks, or will we be assigned private rooms?" He asked, looking over at the new comer, wondering if he, too, was a new recruit.
