An earnest, bright smile sprouts on Shuuka's face before he presses his finger against Rou's, mixing the blood and thus binding the two together.
"Today we are of one blood," announces Shuuka before nodding, "We are as brothers."
If Rou should ever need his help, he need only shout to the wind and it will call to Shuuka. Shuuken then pauses, rubbing his chin thoughtfully.
... Of course, Shuuka suggests he also attempt to contact the Sorcerer apptentice through traditional means just to be safe.

In despite all his heavy thought and worries, Rou cannot help himself at that moment, where an amused smile cross his face and he can barely keep himself from letting out a good-hearted laugh.
While Rou has no doubt that the wind makes a very good messenger, he will keep this in mind.
...Though, it would probably be safer to cover those open cuts somehow before digging about for rope again, yes ? sweatdrop

Shuuka nods quickly before pointing at Rou with the bloodied finger--let the blood dry first! When it does, and their bloods are truly one, then they'll find something to wrap around them.
Shuuka then grins at Rou before sighing. Shuuka actually had gotten so involved in all of this that he forgot why they came to the dump! While talking of such lofty things such as "brotherhood," Shuuka forgot about basic survival.
Where would he be without Rou?
"Dead, that's what," announces Shuuka cheerfully.

Maybe not dead, per-se - Shuuka seems to be a very clever person who is probably very good at finding solutions to problems (which is a very good trait for one's blood brother to have, Rou figures) once confronted with them, though the tengent they had gone on did not help much ?
He'd forgot what they had come for too for a moment, after all !

Shuuka accepts such compliments because they are very true. Shuuka sighs for a moment before rubbing his chin and eying the wound.
Well, does Rou have anything to put on their wounds? Shuuka would rip off his clothing to act as bandages, but he has few clothes as well. ... Shuuka needs to start carrying some shirts to rip for bandages.

Or perhaps carry some clean linen strips like these ? Rou grins as he takes out the aforementioned item out of one of his many belt pouches with a grin, as he moves to check Shuuka's finger for impurities before going ahead with the bandaging.
A bit less dramatic than ripping shirts, perhaps, but a tad more efficent, wouldn't Shuuka agree ?

This, as well, is practical despite not being romantic. Shuuka grins at his companion before letting him get to work on the wounded finger. Surprisingly, Shuuka then ganks one of Rou's linen strips and begins to wrap it around his finger.
Well, then, how about that rope? Without even waiting for a response, Shuuka then rushes for a pile of trash and leaps into it.
ONWARD!

Rou allows Shuuka to bandage his wound - and as the bandage seems solid, does not bother to fuss with it, and is soon back to shorting though things - through perhaps with slightly less enthusiasm than his companion.
