On Wings Of Song sweatdrop My, My... You kids just crave controversy, don't you? controversy makes the world go 'round biggrin ...and razz i'm acting that way because she's acting that way. "shut up" is an immature and naive way to get someone to see your way of thinking smile and "make me" is an immature and naive way to let them know that you disagree, and that you're going to keep disagreeing. biggrin you get it?

I wonder why everyone assumes that these hot piccolos are only girls.
xD in all honestly, out of the tree piccolo's I've seen in my life, two of them were really good (one was a man) and had average looks, and other would be able to play even better than she already does (and she does play rather well) if the piccolo weren't broken and she had a chance to play it more often (she plays flute most of the time) and again, she has average looks. xp
Edit: Of course, it may be difefrent in other areas. Stereo-types don't usually just pop into existance, they happen because they're generally true in many areas...

Ashokan Farewell Musicgrl330 umm. wow. What a sexist question! Everyone here is considering piccolo and flute players to be empty headed flower pots who are only there to play or look good. I, personally, find this really offensive! I too am highly offended by the OP's question. Every year, the flute/picc section in my high school band was one of the top sections (along with mellophones). All three of us made the county honor band 2 years in a row. All of us were AP students. And I got my 2-year college degree a month before I got my high school diploma even with going to high school full-time and participating in the music program. So you know what, Mr. OP, piccolo players are NOT just there to be hot. Maybe your school just has a crappy music program. Or maybe you're just seeing what you want to see. Or maybe you even know you're wrong but want to be a p***k anyways. I don't really care why you posted the question. I don't even really care if you think that way. I do think it was really rude to make a thread about it. You have to realize that it reflects very poorly on you. It makes you look immature, unmannered, and not terribly bright. Maybe a better thread would have been to ask everyone which section in their band is the screw-up section - who can't play, who doesn't want to be there, who breaks the rules most, etc. You could even have described all of this under your response. Then you could have gotten a better sampling than your 4 person experience without looking like an a**. I think the last sentence describes you. You started a big argument,

Marching Band no Jutsu (She hates reed instruments, except oboe. wtf, I know.) LOL!!! Oboe is like the worst one. (Unless played well) NO OFFENSE OBOE PLAYERS That's funny. Unfortunately, I have yet to come across a "good" oboe player. (I've only seen one so I can't really say anything, but still...)

xd Oboe sucks if it's not played well. I hated how I sounded when I first started about a year ago. I still don't sound too amazing or anything, more of an average tone...but it's better than sounding like a dying duck. The other oboe player can't seem to accept that my director likes me more because I have better tone... >_> Apparently she secretly hates me. =D

L0rd Asriel Really? This is a question? confused I'm male, and I play flute and picc. Does that change anything? it doesn't change a thing for any possible bisexuals. it could also potentially change the question from "are piccolo players just there to be hot" to "if i'm a man and play piccolo, am i hot or gay?" but you know..only potentially...
