That sucks for you, tho'.
Our band is State Champions, yet the school still doesn't recognize us during award ceremonies or promotional open houses.

Yeah, the Basketball and Football team get announced for every freaking basket/touchdown they make--each player is individually recognized--almost on the spot, but it took them 8 weeks to announce our State Fest rating and my Solo & Ensemble Blue Ribbon. A**holes.

One year, the yearbook had extremely old band pictures that weren't even from the current year (The uniforms were different and everything; how did they not notice?). They just took them off the band website. Then again, my high school's yearbook staff sucked. There were always a ton of mistakes in the yearbooks.

We got two pages this past year.
One for jazz band/concert band, the other for marching band.
There was the group MB picture but I don't count that.
They even remembered to put in stuff about Harris Teeter and MarioKart DS! :'D
One year, the printing company screwed up all the yearbooks.
They left out pages of pictures and put names in the wrong places, etc.
So they sent a second copy and said 'cut these pictures out and glue them into the other one, lol'.
Freshman year, they left my friend out entirely. She was the last one in my grade and somehow neither her picture nor her name existed that year.
Last year (sophomore year), they somehow replaced this one girl's name with someone who graduated three years ago's. And they had a picture of her brother, who graduated our freshman year, in the graduation section of the yearbook. wtf. o_0

They have to put us in the year book. We are the most succesful program at our school. Our football team hasn;t won a game since my grandpa went there, and our other sports teams blow just as bad. The band gets a trophie at state every year, and all superior at all the marching festivals. Even when I lived at a small school and the band was so crappy I felt sorry for us, we still ahd a two page thing in the yearbook and the football programs. You should see if the band boosters cna throw a fit for you. stressed

But maybe thats because we have more trophies than they do.....
But really, thats wring. You guys should raise hell at your shcool for that! We don't get milk thrown at us, we actually have a football player in band. :] I'm sorry that happens though. The band i'm in also has more trophies than the football, heck the whole athletics together. But our school is like an athletic school, so band doesn't get the reward it deserves. :/

That sucks! We get about four pages for band: Concert Band, Symphonic Winds, Wind Ensemble, Jazz I-III, and Jazz Combo. The choir gets a page all too themselves too; our school focuses quite a bit on the band program and the academics, but our school also does well at sports. It's really great. ;D
But I feel for you! HOW COULD YOU CUT OUT THE BAND?!
