Yeah, I read about the computer thing. : ) I understand, too--not too long ago we tried to use qwest as our provider... They suck. MAJORLY! T.T

Lol, I've actually only met about five people in my life who honest to goodness cannot sing. And most of them are related to me. o.O How come everyone hates elevator music? XD It's only really icky 'cause you have to listen to it while standing and waiting, as far as I've noticed. : O

When I say hammered, I mean soul-sucking AP tests, ten different essays for a class I failed like, two years ago, finals, end of term/year projects, etc. The good new is--I'm graduating! : D The bad news is--I'm graduating! D :> (I don't wanna grow up and get a job and pay bills... )

I never really had any huge problems with separating from friends; at least, not since the first time I ever moved. o.o So, despite the fact that I'll probably never see many of them again, I don't feel too worried. There's only about two, POSSIBLY three people I would actively miss ( excepting the odd sentimental moment ).

No, you didn't kill the thread. T.T I've just been too busy, tired, or soul-sucked to post lately...

Hmm, that's no good. I'll keep that name in mind as one not to choose from.

My brother's computers are both fixed and working now. He's kind enough to share. Lol.

Well, I CAN open my mouth and attempt to sing and sounds come out. They're just...really awful. xd

I don't hate it. I don't really like it though either. I don't know what elevator music is like where you come from but over here, it's pretty bad.

Wow, ten different essays all at once?! eek Just - do your best. That's all I can say. I'd do the same 'cause then at least I could say that I tried.

My experience after leaving school was that things got better (but I wanted to leave) and I had some amount of freedom after all the *everything* I found that I didn't have to leap right into a job straight away. I went and chose some different courses to study and kept myself busy trying out new things here and there; hobbies, art group, child minding, house cleaning with my mum for a while...and having some fun as well. I found out that you don't automatically become a 'grown up' when you graduate either. ^_^ Which you probably already know, of course! (I thought that's what was going to happen to me and that I'd get hit with all these responsibilities but...it wasn't as bad as I thought.)

Er...I guess what I'm trying to say is; from my experience it's not a bad thing; just a new chapter of your life with new experiences and new, unexplored territories! 3nodding Some bad and some good and some in between.

Paying bills...I think everyone doesn't like that. Lol.

Mm...the ones I'd really miss if I had to move are my family members. I'd like to explore the world a bit more though.

Oh...sorry. I'll try and write less lengthy replies. Ehehe. I have a way of going 'blah blah blah' (ad infinitum) when I'm on here. xd

Apparently they gave great service way back when, so my mom thought it would be a good idea; but recently they've outsourced, so if you have a problem, it takes FOREVER to even reach someone who speaks an understandable form of english, let alone who knows anything about how to fix your problem. And then they say they'll "send someone over". Unfortunately, they don't tell you they'll take two months to get there. -.- Horrible, Horrible service. TT.TT

I see. XD He seems like a nice older brother... unlike a certain someone... like me... >.<; *totally selfish, K.O.!*

Yeah, that's what I meant. : O It's so weird, 'cause singing can be so easy sometimes...

Usually, we DON'T have elevator music. At least, not in any of the places I've ever been to. XDD Maybe we just don't go to fancy enough places or something.

My parents are very stingy. I'll totally be paying rent as soon as I land a job, and well, my parents might feed me (maybe) if I don't start looking, like, NOW, but I don't know how long that will last. >.<; They want free of some responsibilities, I guess...

I don't think I'd really miss my family. I'm used to spending long periods without some family members (my parents live on opposite sides of the country, so a quick "sleepover" visit isn't feasible. No matter what, I've been without at least one for years. o.O )

You're not the only one. XD Besides, that's not the problem. I can barely get myself to say "yes" or "no" when I'm in those states, so... O.O
PostPosted: Wed May 19, 2010 1:28 am

Wow, two entire months just to come over?! It makes you wonder whether they have to catch a plane there. Lol. That is pretty bad.

Actually...he's my younger brother, by about two years. .^_^. I'm the eldest sibling in my family, though you wouldn't know it. I'm also the least outgoing. Except for on here.

mrgreen For you perhaps. I don't mind not being able to sing when I can enjoy listening to other people's singing though.

Hm...well, we have 'elevator music' in our cinemas, if that makes any sense. It's like the music on The Sims (the first game) ...but a little bit worse.

Congratulations on getting your first job. I spotted the post in the GMFC thread. I hope it goes well for you and wish the best of luck. Or at least a good experience...

Hmm...well, it's just been me, mum, brother and sister for years. So I'm used to the closeness that we have.

Oh well that's good to know. ^///^; I know I can blather on...

Awful. -.-;

Really? o.O I wonder why I assumed he was older..? How odd. XD Coincidentally, I am also the oldest.

Lol, I irritate people when I'm singing, because it's almost always the same tune over and over for days. I don't know why, but my mentality is set so that I sincerely gain a great deal of pleasure from certain tunes, even if I've heard them a thousand times. : O Certain movies, too!

Oh, I love the Sims music! XDD I sat and hummed to it all day back when I played Sims 1. Again, I totally annoyed my siblings and parents, lol.

I are hoping for a good experience too. T.T Especially 'cause I literally cannot afford to quit or get fired. Stupid economy.

My boyfriend's pretty close with his family too. I kind of think it's weird. o.o; At the same time, I want it for my future family (kids and stuff)...

That is interesting. I like certain songs, melodies, movies, memories etc…but sort of in rotation, like an iTunes list on shuffle.

Well, I like some of it, but not all of it. My friend and I thought that one of the songs on the Sims Vacation expansion sounded like they were singing about buying pineapples but it was of course, in Simlish. I love the Sims 2 and have bought a few of the expansions for it. I like making houses, stories and characters on there. ^_^

Perhaps you mean ‘I am’ instead of ‘I are’? Forgive me if I appear to be giving two cents where it’s not wanted, I usually try to gently correct others when I see spelling or grammar mistakes, to help out. I’ll cease if you don’t want me to.

Mmhm, I’d like that too. ^__^ if I ever have a family someday, it would be nice if they had that comfort and companionship that makes a place feel like ‘home’.

Simlish is a funny language. You swear you've heard a certain word, but its never really what you heard... XD So I make up stuff. >: D

I never got the vacations expansion, but now that I've started on Sims 3, I haven't been buying any more 2 expansions. o.o; Sims is one of my favorite games ever! >.< <3 <3 Though, I've found that making houses is often fairly tedious. I prefer to watch my friend work on houses. : ) She has a major talent in design.

What kind of character do you usually make? I've found that I generally play the same or similar characters over and over. o.o Also, what are people talking about with the stories and stuff? In Sims 2 they had the "Memory" thing, and that was a story, kind of, and that introduction into the neighborhood, but I've never figured out how they do a story in Sims. Do they have announcements when you do certain things with certain sims or something..?

Aw, no. XD Often when I get in certain moods you'll see my grammar get weird like that. Its sort of another way of expression that doesn't really go with an emoticon..?

Definitely. <3 Family reunions would be SO much more fun that way!
PostPosted: Fri May 21, 2010 4:08 pm

I do that as well. It’s pretty hilarious sometimes. XD I’ve played the game so much I even picked up some of the words and catch myself saying them occasionally. Lol.

Ohhh, Sims 3! biggrin I haven’t bought that one yet but I’m wavering over whether I want to or not. I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to my Sims, so letting them run off and do their own thing all over town would have me spazzing out. My friend did tell me you can switch that function off though…

I love Sims! I own Sims, Sims Hot Date and a few other eps for the first game but mostly my favourite is Sims 2.

I made a house that looks like a forest hut. =^.^= With renovations added…such as plumbing and electricity. Lol.

I make all kinds of characters but there is usually always one or two crazy/quirky ones thrown in there. XD My sis and I have the best fun playing it together. We once made up a story about a completely bizarre legacy family with a grandpa who kept losing his false teeth everywhere: (in meals he cooked for the family, in the toilet, on the barbeque…etc)

Oh, to make stories, you take pictures of your sims in game then you go to the picture manager and you can arrange the photos how you like and write underneath them. In this way you can make a story about your sims, their homes, their lives etc.) If you really want to, you can upload the story to the Sims 2 website once you’ve written it so other people can read your creations. You can also upload lots, sims, and familes to the exchange on the website for others to download.

It’s super fun! My stories are usually completely ridiculous so I don’t upload most of them, ah ha ha!

Oh, okay. I get it now. ^_^

They would indeed. But in families, there is always the odd ones out. And the scary ones. And the nutcase ones…Lol.

You can. I usually don't have my Sims going off to do whatever, actually; unless I only created that particular sim so I could have a teen or something. For the most part, Sims 3 actually gives you even more control, because you can control how hard they work during school or work; ie, "Work hard" or "Watch TV in the Waiting Room" if they're a doctor. XD

Usually when I build my own houses, they look like trailers, pagodas, castles, or space ships. XD No real in between...

Rofl; I usually do sims that are based off of characters I create in my "What if" portion of reading comprehension exercises. XD Thus, they're often very simmilar, though occasionally I just want to do something different. : )

Gah! I can never get the photo stuff on before a picturesque moment has passed. >.< Oh well. My stories will all be off record.

Oh my heavens, yes! Except my family is MADE of nutcases, so the ones we consider "nutcases" are actually the ones who fit into society the best... o.O;
PostPosted: Sun May 23, 2010 6:36 pm

rofl Oh my gosh, that's pretty funny. I really hope there aren't any dcotors who do that irl! (unless it's on their break of course). Sounds muchly fun. I may end up purchasing this game after all. mrgreen

Oooh, neat! I'd live in the Pagoda or the Castle. xd At least you wouldn't have to worry about running out of room then.

If I lived in a spaceship, I'd just get confused. Or paranoid about accidentally pushing the wrong button.

Ahhh, I see. Perhaps you don't know the secret of pausing the game with 'p' (I think it's the 'p' key, or maybe it's 'enter') and then pressing 'c' button to take piccus in Sims 2? You can move the camera round while the game is paused too.

Lol. Isn't that always the way? Families are interesting.

I like it. : ) I especially like how it isn't impossible to have a good home without using some kind of cheat. >.< Oh! Another thing with Sims 3 is that the rest of the town (if you opt for it) will age along with your sims, so if you make a childhood friend for a sim you want to raise, you don't have to switch between the two households to keep them level with your sim. : D

When it comes to my sims, their either dirt poor (I didn't use any cheats) or billionaires. XD And if their rich, well, I like to show off my sometimes-excessive vanity. : O

Usually it's just weirdly shaped and has wallpaper and flooring such as that would mimic a spaceship. XD I'm kind of obsessed with Si-Fi. <3

I generally pause with the squiggly key next to the 1 at the top of the keyboard. Then, I use 1, 2, and 3 for controlling the rest of the time features in older sim games. Sims 3 has a new one at 4 that will super-speed the game only through their current action (I.E., showering, eating, etc. ). I've never used letter keys for anything except naming stuff or typing out a cheat after shift-ctrl-C. : O

Not really. : ) Okay, well, maybe. XD It's possible. I try not to pay attention to families too much--they can be really depressing at unexpected intervals. O.O;
PostPosted: Wed May 26, 2010 1:33 am

Ah ha ha! Well, the cheats are sometimes tempting but I don't really like using them apart from the move objects one when there's a game glitch and my Sims get stuck in a chair. XD Or when I want to place furniture in nifty and unusual postions.

Hee, I like to make expensive dream houses that I imagine my characters would live in. 4laugh I make them in build mode so that when I build and buy, I don't have any limits on funds whatsoever. Of course, unless they are millionaires my Sims can't afford it til several generations down the track but...it's not really for anyone to live in. It's just to get my ideas out of my head and into the game.

Oh neat. That sounds like fun. I am recalling the house in Strangetown where those three guys live. The one with aliens...

Hm...making stories is enjoyable once you get into it. I only enjoy making them best with my sis though. Together, we are usually in hysterics.

Maybe there are a lot of families like that as well, but I was really thinking of the GMFC ones, Sims ones and such when I said that. I should have made it clearer. ^_^;

Edit: By the way, your current avatar is really endearing. Ah ha ha! Whenever I look at it, it makes me giggle. XD

I like to think of what's happening as they go around in my fancy or dirt-poor homes, so playing them as they live there is major fun. : D

I don't generally have time to play several generations down, so my houses are all "right now" stuffs. XD

Oh! I played that one!! LOVED it! XD One of them is pregnant when you start their household, by the way. XDD by an alien. At least, it was for me. >.<

Ah. XD Yeah, GMFC families are really fun. <3 +.+

Lol, I try! >: D I wanted to make it less serious for once, so I did. XD It was a totall accident that I made it work like that. <3 That dragon plushie is adorable.
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 11:59 pm

I like doing that too! biggrin But the last two houses I made were a for a merneko and her family and a sort of seafish guy....thingy. XD And I think it will be too tricky trying to design thier characters without visiting 'Mod The Sims 2' website and getting a lot of downloads. (I like downloads very much; computer doesn't)

Oh well, that's fair enough. =^_^= I just found that it's super fun playing through generations of a legacy family 'cause when the founders are weird, strange things pop up somewhere way down the line. And also; they come back to haunt their rellies. Hee hee!

Oh yeah! And they end up having an alien baby. *giggles* biggrin It's pretty neat but the first time I played their household, I was sort of freaked out - Pregnant men?! Lol. I love watching them be abducted though.

They are! =^.^= All sorts of unusual things happen.

Ehehe. It's like he's gone to check what's around his neck or fix his scarf and is just realising (with terror) what he's grabbed hold of. mrgreen

I see... : O Usually my characters are more normal-looking, so it's easier for me. XD For the rest, I just make a human equivalent and pretend.

Lol, for some reason when I make a sim family, I tend to have trouble making them STOP making more sims. O.O! I often max out the number of occupants allowed in the house, and only two are older than "child"... >.<; Bad me! OH! But I just got a really good idea! I can remake a family I predetermined and just play THEM through generation... D : I'd need to get my own computer, first. My parents aren't gonna let me sit around on their computer all day before/after work... Paychecks should come in faster. T.T

In sims 3, there are no aliens or vampires and whatnot (well, you can give sims green skin in the sim-maker, but that doesn't count...), but the ghost system was improved dramatically. Now ghosts can go where ever they want and have kids and stuff! >.< I keep thinking I should start a ghost family and explore this new system, but I never seem to get far before being kicked off/swamped and distracted with something else.

ROFL, I make my male sims have babies all the time! One guy I made live in a tower for his home and spend every day exploring science stuff... and, of course, had him abducted. >: D

Lol, he's so cute! >.< <3 I love over-excitable red-heads.
