Ellandra leaned against Faolan, relaxing a bit. "I'll... I'll be all right, to ask them...... it's just... a little overwhelming. I - I can .... handle it. .. " Though she would like him to go, there were some questions you just didn't ask in front of your husband. . . whether or not he'd seen many births in his time.

"If you want, wife, I can go along to at least introduce you to some of the ladies and then excuse myself so you can talk at them alone," Faolan suggested, making a mental note to also talk with some people, too, to learn how to be a good father.

Ellandra nodded, smiling at Faolan - before a thought crossed her mind and she wrinkled her nose, frowning. "Yes, please- and would you help me find who it was who stuck me in those shoes for the ball? I'm afraid I still haven't found out and I need to know." Left unsaid was the fact that she wanted to wreak vengeance for her poor pinched toes.

Ellandra followed him, still clutching her notebook. "I don't think any of them plan to tell me. I don't know why, it's not as if I could really do anything." Sh paused and bit her lip thoughtfully. "Well, I suppose they meant well, at least. . . though waltzing with Lauss just about made my feet fall off thanks to those shoes," she added, a smile creeping up onto her face as she remebered "dancing" (more spinning in circles, really) with the little Essentic.

Zia came up behind them, carrying the box with Ellandra's spark. "You'll be wanting this. It should be with you as much as possible." It handed the box to her, then scooted on out the door, trailing a few cards and feathers on the floor.
Faolan watched it go, then looked at Elle and gave a shrug and a "what can you do?" look before following the young Alter out. He hadn't bothered with a shirt or shoes, which was pretty much the norm for him.

Ellandra smiled softly, taking the box from Ziazan and following both it and her husband out. "I would have felt bad leaving this little one behind, anyway," she confessed as she followed her family. Even though it was still, well, in the state of a pretty, misty rock, she didn't like the thought of leaving it alone with Rags around - what if it were to emerge as something small and prey-ish to the cat? She'd be a terrible person if she just left it there to be tormented by her kitty.
