Appearance: Jacquelyn is an incredibly pale girl; one would think she'd never seen the sun. Her dirty blonde hair is usually styled simply, and she often wears her lips red, with a very faint color of orange around her eyes to help her intense blue-gray eyes stand out their fullest. The rose - her favorite flower - always makes an appearance with her. Whether it's a pattern on her clothes, a pin in her hair, or a real rose in her fingers, it's there. Being a fan of the finer things in life, many times beads and jewels are a garnish to her outfits, along with the most expensive scents; many times Sandalwood, and sometimes Patchouli.
Personality: Jacquelyn is a pretty quiet girl, usually keeping to herself and her books. None know it, but she has a deep love for herself and her beauty. Her vanity is the worst quality of hers. Still, she longs for a good friends to have deep and detailed discussions with; someone who shares her passion for knowledge of the unknown, and - of course - history. History, interesting as it is all by itself, can give insight to the future, and the future technologies. She's got quite the temper, and small things easily set her off. Flirtation and romance is foreign to her, so in the rare occasion it happens she becomes quite uncomfortable in the situation. Entirely opposite from her expected character, Jacquelyn has an obsession of sorts of the old Victorian style. If it were up to her, everybody would dress and act as they had in the old times...but with the modern world around them.
Background: Jacquelyn was born in a coast-side town in New Jersey; her adolescent life filled with trips to the boardwalk for shopping and carnival games. As she grew older, those trips were enjoyable not for the fun of playing, but the fun of learning. Her brain whirred as she tried to figure out the mechanics of the Ferris Wheel; and what ingredients in a funnel cake reacted to make it so spongy. Often times she was called a nerd by those of her age, though her father was proud of her ingeniousness. Her mother, on the other hand, figured she should keep her curiosity contained and be more ladylike. She was often dressed in dresses, her hair piled in curls and a decorative umbrella to complete the old fashioned look. Such dress helped to form the love for the old she has now, though to many it seems to clash with the love for science she has.
At the blossoming age of 16, Jacquelyn tearfully wished her parents farewell as she went off to a science facility in a large city far from home to begin her career. Hoping that she could end up working as a scientist in the facility a short time after being there, she found two years later she was still following other around and doing odd janitorial jobs.
