"Less the dancing and more the just being incredibly stupid sometimes. He's been rather distracted of late . . . like Ellandra has. They got married and will be having a baby," Zia said, grinning at the idea of getting a "little sibling" of sorts.
At the other part, it laughed, eyes half closing. "I couldn't help bonding with him. I knew I was his the moment he stepped in the shop. I was a little eager, I guess." It was sure his lapine brother would understand that.
"Of course you can be my big brother, too. We're of a kind and you can't deny the familial bonds from that, right?" Ziazan said, moving its wings a bit, losing a few more of the ever-present cards.

Ahaha, oh you. Misha chuckled at Zia's words, wondering if he'd ever dare to call longway 'stupid'. He guessed not. The next part of the message made him gawk a bit again. "For real? ... whoah. I guess you could know, right? That's... incredibibble. Have you ever seen a baby human? They're.... sooo tiny." Misha added quite an emphasis on just how little he thought they were. If you took his gesture literally they were about half an inch long, heh.
"But they grow, duh." yup, I know alright.
"Eager indeed, slippery eel, you :° At least you made a really good choice hm." Yeah, it was doubtful Zia could've found a person better suited for the task of raising the clairvoyant.
"Na... thanks, Ziazan... I'll do my best to be a good big brother to all of you. Even if I'm pretty busy most of the time and all... Didn't have time to check up on you last time I was at Farstep, had to go and finish a delivery." he smiled at his sibling fondly, then blinked.
"You're dropping things you know." Circling around Zia, he leaned down and picked one of the cards up, examined it once he'd flitted around back to his starting position. "... these are really pretty. I've never seen cards like this before."

Eli nodded in response to Lauss' question " I hunt with a gun and he's been used to hearing them for years." Eli wondered where Lauss had heard about guns, Lee didn't exactly seem the out shooting things type, not even at a firing range .
The man fussed with his tie again and smiled at Lee as she turned back to him after surveying the area " You can pet him if you want , he prefers to be scratched behind the left ear"
Now this Eli could do answer questions and talk about his dog, if he could spend most of the ball discussing topics he enjoyed and was actually knowledgeable about then things shouldn't get too bad. Certainly he wouldn't monopolize this pair's time for too long though, he'd just have to find others with similar interests eventually that he could talk to as well.

"Now the really interesting part will be seeing which of them gets the baby they want. Ellandra wants a daughter, but Faolan wants a son," Ziazan laughed.
The young Essentic nodded. Of course it'd made a good choice. "I guess if Essentics have souls, then mine is linked to Faolan. I was predestined for him." Okay, Zia had probably been hitting the fortune telling kinda hard lately, but it made sense to it that Essentics could have human soulmates, too.
"It's okay if you can't get time to check on me much, I'll know you still care," Ziazan said reassuringly.
It watched the other pick up a card and smiled sheepishly. "My wings changed when I got bigger and started growing tarot cards. They're always there, no matter how many molt from my wings." He peered at the card Misha had picked up. "The Hierophant. It stands for conformity, inspiration, compassion, kindness, and mercy. The card suits you. You should keep it."

"Makes me wonder if humans can have your gender." Fufufu. The 'third option' eh?
"Not all of us seem to hit a connection that strong... I wasn't there at the time, but Longway told me our Combat-group sibling has a really tight bond with its owner, too." He hadn't met Crux before, and didn't know if Ziazan knew him either. "Aria seems to be alright with mister Damont, too, and I'm sure Sera'll be nice to her as well. Don't know much about the others..." he pondered aloud. "And yeah, I do care... Even when I squish people." .w. ears go flop a little ashamedly. Heehee.
At Zia's explanation of the cards, he listened attentively, even gave a little whistle. "That's pretty awesome... You should collect them, if you know what to do with them. I don't think anyone else has cards like yours. Tarot?" That sure sounded special. He'd have to read up on that sometime.
With widening eyes, he listened to what the card he had retrieved from the floor meant. Cards could have a meaning? "Wow... you think it does? That's... Awww thank you Zia."
Hugsquish.
"Whoop. Sorry." he chuckled, still a wee emotional, and let him go again. At least this time he'd been more gentle. "What was it called again? 'cause I'm a rabbit, not an... elephant...thingiephant." Gigglesnort.

"Hm, curious thought. I wonder if they can, too. I hope, though, that the baby isn't conflicted like that," the younger Essentic said, tapping his chin in thought.
It lit up at the mention of Crux and Trystan. "Oh! Yeah, they're really good together. They came to the carnival after we met them so Trystan could go to a party with Faolan. I think they have a similar bond to what I have with Fao." It tilted its head a bit. "I haven't met Aria, but I know Aoi and he's really nice. He and his owner are very much meant for each other, too. When you meet them, you'll see."
Ziazan stooped and picked up The Magican, looking the card over. "Perhaps I should. I wonder if my cards would be as accurate in Fao's hands as the deck Grandmother gave him. It'd be interesting to see. The tarot cards aren't exactly mine. Well, they are in that I seem to be making them, but the tarot are old and traditional. Fao taught me about them."
Tapping the card in Misha's hand, Zia nodded. "It's called The Hierophant, and it very much suits you."

"Yeah, I don't think that works out for humans very well, being both or neither of the genders." Misha'd never seen anyone like it nor heard of it. yet another thing to look up.
Ah, the topic of his other siblings was more interesting than genders and babies though, at least at the moment. "Really? You met them already? Wow, and I thought Vargash was big." he grinned. "Na, they should be around both, I can't wait to see them!" he grinned, leaning back on his heels. "Miss Katan's companion's already indoors, she seemed to be quite rushed earlier. He's her Tutor." Yup, he remembered that one session vividly, even if he'd been rather sleepy at the time.
Listening to the rather enlightening words about the cards some more, the entire thing ebgan making some sense. These weren't cards to play games with like they had back home, these were meaning-cards. Mysterious cards, that seemed to have their own language. It was really fascinating that Ziazan and Faolan could understand them, even a little.
Misha looked at the picture on the card, and smiled. How strange... it was a pretty odd image depicted, of a nice-looking old man and... weird clothing and symbols and all kinds of foreign things, but of Ziazan told him it fitted him, he believed it.
"Thank you, Ziazan... I'll treasure it and always hold it close." indeed, he was holding it close to him, then tucked it into his chest-pocket for safekeeping. "Do you have a card that suits you?" he asked then, quite sure there had to be one.

"There are five of us, then?" Zia asked, tilting its head, conversation about the baby forgotten for now. There were five and it knew two of the others already and knew that Faolan was friends with the owner of one of the two it didn't know. Fate and coincidence.
At the question of an avatar card, Zia looked down at the ones about its feet, then leaned down and picked some up, looking them over. It showed the cards to Misha as it spoke. "Faolan is The Fool and Ellandra is Queen of Pentacles. I think . . . I think I am The Star." Zia held the card up so Misha could see it. "Hope, faith, inspiration, optimism, insight, spiritual love, pleasure, and balance. That seems right."

"Well, actually seven. I'm the oldest so far of our second generation, then Kyru-grump, and you five. And... a lot more who are dormant now, and will emerge when the time is right." The Messenger spoke with warm tone now, overflowing with a gentle sort of love for all of them.
"The Star you say... that sounds really pretty. ...you know, that does sound a lot like you. You're our little big star, hm." he tilted his head aside slightly,a and smiled. "Yes, that suits you."
".... say, before I barged in, were you going anywhere?" whoop, yes. Might be forgetting something after this stormy hello. "There's music and food and candy and all kinds of things over there, if you're hungry. Also a lot of rooms to explore, and, oh, the garden's pretty nice, there's fish in the springs, too." he first pointed towards the entrance to the Dining and Ball room, then all around -just not at the off limits area- and then 'beyond' the Ball room.
One happily excited bunny, oh yes. It was just so exhilirating to be able to talk to someone like this, share what he knew and he told new things, like about the tarot cards. If he didn't hold back he'd start bounding around any moment now.

"La, but . . . there's eight," Ziazan pointed out. "You and Kyru--I met him. Funny dragon.--and then the five of use new ones . . . and then Rugovin." It shuddered a bit at the memory of running across that one, the whole reason it had wanted to get big.
He shook it off a bit and looked up at Misha. "I was looking for Trystan and Crux so Faolan could tell them the good news about his marriage and baby. They were going this way, but I lost sight of them 'cause I'm so short."

".... Ru.. govin?" Misha kept hushed a little, trouble-senses tingling. He was a bit worried now, seeing that Zia apparently harboured not-too-leasant memories of this person, essentic, and he had no idea who it could be. Despite his curiosity, he asked no direct question, leaving it to Zia whether to talk about it or not. Somehow it all felt like a topic that shouldn't be chatted about 'en plein publique'.
"Ah, mister Chevalier. Ti-... Longway said he's pretty rough, na. I could help you look for them... but I've never seen the man, I was away when he came to the shop that day. Might be able to feel Crux though." the rabbit pondered. "Can you feel the others, too?" He'd been wondering about that for a long time now.
"Too short? Want to have a taste of higher up? I can carry a person easily, you'd be safe." yup, he'd done so with Ellandra before.

( location ) ;; Manor Gates -> Entry Hall
Smiling devilishly at Dreamer once he caught her eye, Trystan let the message convey through his ever devious eyes. Scared of me already? The taunt was clear enough, even as he was given the cold shoulder. The man would have scowled a bit, had he not been in a fairly neutral mood. It would be a long night to observe - he didn't want to waste his energy just yet. Turning from the womans cold shoulder, he strode through, ignoring the crowd bustling through the Manor Gates. Instead, he forgot about the common courtesies known as conversation, and slid easily through the Manor doors, instantly greeted by some of the staff. Amusement filled his eyes as he watched pure terror, or a macabre interest fill some of their looks for a moment. Crux did not acknowledge him - as it was, the Proto seemed lost in his own antics for that moment. Brushing off their comments and questions with polite inclinations, Trystan moved past them, quickly noting on the scent of chlorine coming from one of the rooms. Was that a pool he spied behind those cracked doors? How interesting. But the ballroom was his first destination - he could explore later.
Of course, before he had a chance to step foot into such a room, he first decided upon admiring the Entrance Hall..... or what there was of it to admire. It seemed quite similar to the halls of the Manors he himself had grown up in - the endless mazes that led him to stranger places then the kitchen. Crux thrummed a low note. "Curious." He said softly, into Trystans ear. "It feels like a much larger version of your home." Trystan snorted. "Thanks, but I think my home is better then this." Crux just let a hum fall from its lips. "Perhaps." Twisting its head, it leaned forward on Trystan's shoulder, scanner shimmering once more as it picked up a familiar - and unfamiliar face in the crowd. "Ziazan?" Crux thrummed a bit. "Its grown." He said to Trystan, making the hit man turn his head. The first thing he spotted were large floppy ears, and his mind soared to what the hell Faolan could have possibly subjected his poor Proto to that would influence him into that kind of stage. And then he realized that he was staring at the wrong one and turned his eyes to the one that was actually Zia. Tilting his head in slight approval, Trystan looked over at Crux. "Do you want to go say hello?" The Proto simply thrummed. "Perhaps. Many people." He said slowly, not liking the prospect of socializing too much. Ah, so Crux was a social recluse now, was he? Trystan snorted a bit.
His strides brought him closer a bit, picking up on the conversation. Crux cocked its head as its name was said aloud, and wondered why Zia was talking about him. Something about babies and marriages? It was all still a foreign concept to him. The last time he had spoken with the other, he'd only briefly introduced him to the thing known as love. Trystan, however, was hardly as amused by this as Crux was, sidling up behind Ziazan with his hands on his hips. He was unfamiliar with this new grown... child, but Crux insisted that it was Ziazan, and the appearances were certainly familiar... When the rabbit.... person began to speak again, mentioning someone by the name of Rugovin, and him as well, Trystan cocked a brow, waiting until he was done before speaking up from behind Zia's shoulder, careless of whether he startled the small Alter or not. "Its interesting that you know my name and yet I haven't wandered across yours yet, Rabbit." He said in a casual tone, eyes sharp as usual. "And I'm not that rough."
Contemplating Ziazans words as they processed through his mind from when he was listening from aways away, Trystan turned to Ziazan. "Pardon my intrusion on your conversation but..." He started, looking at the other thoughtfully before his eyes narrowed and he planted his hands on his hips in a slight teasing tone. "Marriage?" Trystan continued, finally. "Woah woah, I leave him alone for a few days, and he gets married?" Way to interrupt Trystan. Way to go. "And he knocks up his fair maiden. Fancy that - Oh just wait until I get my hands on that man." While his guardian grumbled, Crux simply leaned forward on his perch, tilting his head ever so slightly. "Ziazan, is that you?" He asked listlessly, glancing the other over. "You look... different. Interesting." Crux nodded, ignoring the mumbles coming from the man he was perched on. Tilting his head to the side, his scanner shimmered a bit, red lights on Misha. "A rabbit?" Using the hand he wasn't using to balance on Trystan with, Crux lightly jabbed his owner in the side. "You have curious friends, Zia."

Ziazan nodded at the question. "I can feel them, but there's so many people here. It sort of gets fuzzy in my head with the other readings." It looked up at Misha at the suggestion. "I could sit on your shoulders and see if we don't see the man with the black and blue eyes."
It blinked, though, as that was no longer necessary. The two quarries were now standing beside them and Zia looked up, still small for an Essentic--resembling a short twelve-year-old child of undetermined gender. Seeing the two, though, made it grin and it bounced closer, hugging Trystan's waist, wings flapping and leaving cards and feathers about the floor. "There you are! Faolan wanted to tell you about the handfasting and bairn himself, so please try to act surprised when he mentions it. I was only supposed to just find you and bring you to him."
Looking up at Crux, Zia grinned even more, an odd resemblance in that moment to its owner. "I got bigger . . . kinda. I'm glad to see you, too. This is Misha." He gestured to the bunny Essentic with one hand, the other still around Trystan's waist like a child with a favorite uncle.

...like... O____O eep!
Oooh, was this bunny ever easily intimidated, most of all when HUGE SCARY PEOPLE appeared out of nowhere. And he'd been overheard, too. Yeowch. Good thing the unexpected response came too much out of the blue, for he'd almost retorted with some sort of weak-snarky comment about Trystan being very well of the rough sort. Don't DO that, sneaking up on people is rude! x"D
After jumping back and emitting a quite pitched squeak, Misha settled a little when Ziazan acted so casual around the man and his companion. He couldn't help squinting at both of them, examining them closely. Hmmm....mmmnoooo, not sure I'm ready to lower my guard just yet. Whatever guard I have, heh.
Then again, this WAS one of his brothers, na. The first Combat Proto he'd ever meet, and hooboy, did it ever 'fit' with the image in his mind. Yes, he could live with that. It must feel so different to have such... natural raw strength, grace. ... rawr.
"Ayah... hi. Yeah, I got err... tangled up with bunnies when I was just wee short." he responded to Crux's half-implied question.
"So you're Crux, hmm... " he nodded when Ziazan introduced him, keenly watching the lithe predatorial Proto on Trystan's shoulder. His second impressions of the half-demon could wait for now... As long as he didn't harm Ziazan, Trystan was accepted as a neutral presence.

___( location ) Entry Hall
The hug... startled him. Jumping like a five year old who'd just been caught stealing from the cookie jar again, Trystan tried not to hurdle himself about five yards away, convincing himself that this was Zia, and he was... harmless. It was actually comical, the expression of absolute shock and desperation on Trystans face for a moment. He was not used to hugging. He was hardly used to physical contact that wasn't solely done for pleasure, or pain. Or both. This was just amusing affection.... something he'd definitely have to get used to. Sighing, Trystan released the building tension in his shoulders, especially when Crux dug his claws into the other in a physical note to calm down. Becoming his rugged, nonchalant, aristocratic son-of-a-b***h self again, Trystan loosely let his arms fall a bit by his sides, awkwardly patting Zia on the head. Anything to get him off sooner then later without making Trystan out like the bad guy. "Hello to you too." He said dryly, Crux still humming in content from his shoulder.
When the marriage and the baby were mentioned again, Trystan tried not to tip over and let his head swim in a pile of disastrous thoughts. He knew the guy was head over heels for this lass of his... but getting married and conceiving a child? Jeez, Faolan really liked moving fast, didn't he? Snickering a bit, and then groaning, Trystan tilted his head back. "So it wasn't just a joke? The poor b*****d really did go and get 'imself married?" Trystan tilted his head back. "s**t, that man is insane." Looking down at Zia, he sighed, putting one free hand on his hip. "Dont worry. I'll act surprised. Once I kick his a** for doing it without me." A snicker rose to those dangerous lips. "Just kidding, but I'll pretend you haven't said a word." Or so he hoped. "Where is he right now then? Still outside?"
Crux tilted his head in the direction of Zia as he talked, amused by the others antics. Clinging to Trystan like that... Crux was almost surprised the other hadn't pushed him away. However, they were both trying to behave tonight, so it was no wonder Trystan was trying to put up with it like he did. "You look... good." Crux said wryly, looking Zia over once more. "I am quite impressed." He added, tilting his head as he turned his attention to the rabbit. "Misha." He repeated, keeping the name stored in his memory. "A pleasure." He said courteously, though as the other mentioned rabbits, he couldn't help but grin. A hunter couldn't help but smile at future prey. "I see. Though rabbits are hunted by quite a few things are they not? However, I suppose that is what has built them to run so fast..." Crux observed listlessly, without trying to sound insulting at all. Though, when his top influence was a canine thats successful hunt rate was higher then any other in the Canidae family, it was only natural for him to look at Misha a bit differently. Looking up as his name was said, Crux tilted his head to the side. "Yes, I am Crux." He repeated, nodding. "I believe this is the first time we've met. As I've said before, a pleasure. You are certainly an interesting... rabbit." As it was, Crux was simply struggling not to say...
Prey.
