Dear Journal,

Guess whose getting married?

No, not me. Though I wouldn’t mind having a date…anyway, it’s Lissy! My little girl is getting married! Her boyfriend purposed to her and she just told me about it today. It shouldn’t so romantic. A little walk in the park with the snow and bam!- he broke out the ring.

I know that it’s a little early seeing as their both so young, but I’m going to trust her judgment. Last time I didn’t, she ended up- Well, that’s not important. What is is the wedding! I’m going to take her dress shopping this weekend so we can just get a look of what’s out there, and she mentioned something about taking Cera and Tally with her, so maybe we’ll make it a girls day out.

I guess I need to talk to Vincent. Give him the ‘if you hurt my baby’ talk, but really, I don’t want to. He’s a good kid, and I don’t think he would ever intentionally hurt her. Even if he did, I imagine that he would apologize. I'm still a little anxious about meeting his family. From what I've heard, their pretty big and his mother was friends with Gabrielle. What if she doesn't like me? Ah jeez, whatever! A WEDDING. I'm going to plan it, no matter what she thinks or wants. Okay, well...thats a little harsh. Maybe I'll just ask.

A wedding, a wedding, we’re going to have a wedding!

Sincerely,
Moose

All the technicians were ready to go, the equipment was set up and the nurses ready. Vampy was there as well, doing his usual business of being intimidating as well feeling it was necessary that he be there.

After all it seemed more and more of the spawn were growing up and...having kids. He enjoyed it in a strange way, seeing how the experiments were now conducting their won experiments by having kids. Of course people wouldn't ever think of it in that sense. But it didn't matter, he now waited for the expecting mother to show up.

This certainly wasn't the first time Elisabetta had walked through the front doors of the facility, but it was the most nerve wracking. Despite reassurances that everything would 'just fine' she still couldn't help wondering if it was just that. What if something was wrong with the baby?

Still, she plastered on a wide smile as she checked in with the desk personnel, one hand resting on top of her baby bump. Her longer tentacle wrapped it's way underneath her stomach, pushing up the hem of her shirt so it could caress her skin. That single act helped to calm her nerves.

It didn't help that Vampy could be a very impatient man, but at the same time have infinite patience. In this case he could be patient, he was just tired. He didn't pace though he felt antsy and though all the personal int he room grated on his nerves he didn't speak a word to them.

He spotted Lizzy instantly, after all a girl with two tentacles and two sets of halos floating around her was hard to miss.

"Ah yes, I am glad you made it.." He started as he gestured for the girl to follow. "This way, I am sure you are excited."

When Elisabetta's eyes landed on Vampy, her blood ran cold. Instantly her right hand snaked around to join her tentacle on top of her stomach, making quite the sight. It wasn't that she hated him, necessarily, just ever since that meeting with Lust as a kid...

She started after him, making sure to stay just far enough to the side so she could see Vampy as he talked. "Very," Lissy smiled, unintentionally getting closer than necessary. "It's my first," she scrunched up her face. "Well...I guess you would know, but I'm just really happy."

The silver haired man didn't really reply past a small nod of his head. Of course he knew that, after all there was nothing in regards to the facility and the spawn it produced he did not know. At least he liked to think he knew all.

"This is a normal procedure, we check to make sure the baby is in good health. Though you look fairly far along already..." He paused after a moment and gestured she get onto the bed. "Did you want to know the gender of the baby?"

T'were Elisabetta a puppy, her ears would have flattened back on her head. In reality, she just shut up for a little while, contenting herself with stroking her stomach, smiling brighter when the baby kicked.

The teen got up on the bed, and before being asked, pulled her shirt up to expose her pronounced baby bump. "Everyone seems to think it'll come out sooner rather than later," she giggled, the paused, a thoughtful look taking over her smile. "Well, I'm alright not knowing, but my fiancée might like to know, so, yes."

Vampy only raised an eyebrow in the woman's direction, he didn't comment on the fact her fiancé wasn't present but then again most of the appointments contained only the one who was pregnant. "The nurse is going to apply the gel so we can do the ultrasound." He explained as he turned to fiddle with the screening equipment whilst a woman dressed in a nurses’ uniform approached Lizzy tentatively.

"IT will be cold." The nurse warned as she eyed the tentacles warily, most of the tentacles she had come across have...well been rather violent and protective.

Elisabetta didn’t understand why the nurse was looking at her so funny at first, until, that is, her longer tentacle tried to slap the woman. She barely caught it in time. It squirmed against her hold, trying to go back to snuggling up against its possession. “Sorry! Let me…urm.” In a last ditch effort, Lissy stuck the tentacle under her bum and sat on it, but that only led to an arousing reaction so she went back to holding it fairly quickly.

Then she remembered something that had worked when she was a kid. As quick as a flash, she bit the silver tentacle and watched it fall limp at her side. “Okay. I’m ready now, “ she smiled.

The woman gave the girl a wide eyed look which explained her sudden surprise and starring. She looked as if she wanted to help but...also run away. When the limb finally went limp she hesitated before finally squirting the liquid onto Lizzy and in a brisk fashion applied it all over. Once finished she quickly retreated out of sight. Vampy looked back to the woman before he took the ultrasound out of another nurse’s hand.

"Are you ready?"

Elisabetta hissed when the liquid hit her stomach, instinctively pushing herself further back into the bed. So cold! Couldn’t they warm it up a little bit first? She watched the woman retreat, and looked down at the liquid with a sigh. She wasn’t the first person to shy away from her, but it still hurt.

The teen turned her face up at Vampy and nodded. “Go for it, Captain.”

Vampy only nodded his head and went about his work. He seemed to be pro at this already, perhaps he was in the wrong career? The image on the screen came up, first it was hard to make out anything but slowly a baby's body was able to be made out.

"Hrm...it looks cramped in there.." He noted as he moved the device around to the side to get a better view. "Looks like we have..tentacles.....and a tail...and something else... I am not sure what.."

She couldn’t stop looking at the screen. It was hard enough to keep herself from pressing her face against it, but for her child’s sake, Lissy was still for the procedure. Tentacles…a tail…and something else? A surprise? “I’m surprised I haven’t been beaten to death, “ she laughed. Though the baby was definitely active enough, she rarely felt any pain at all.

“Is it healthy?” That’s what she was most concerned with. It didn’t matter what her baby looked like, so long as it was healthy.

Vampy moved the instrument around some more and nodded his head slowly. "Yes, it seems to be male." He managed though he seemed unsure. The tentacles the baby had kept getting in the way.

“Oh my god, I’m having a son.” Elisabetta gasped. A thousand and one thoughts ran through her head, even as she felt the baby squirm in her stomach. She felt what she assumed to be a tentacle thump against her stomach, causing her to wince. “Does the machine take pictures? I want to show my baby daddy.”

Vampy only stilled slightly, no one had ever bothered to get pictures before. Looking at the machine a glance to a nurse proved as she nodded her head that yes the machine could do such things.

"Yes...that is fine. I'd say you are fairly along...in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't have the baby any day now.." He muttered wondering if this was a trend with people waiting till last second to get appointments.

"It looks healthy and sound..just cramped." He muttered as the nurse came up to help Vampy put the equipment away she then offered Lizzy a towel to dry her belly off.

Vampy only shrugged and the nurse produced a photograph of the baby for Lizzy to take home with her. That was quick. Perhaps it was magic?

"Yes yes...just keep in mind once the baby is born you need to bring him in for a checkup." He instructed as he already was on his way out of the room.

Elisabetta stashed the photo between her breasts, and then hobbled off the bed. “Of course.” When she looked up, he was already gone, and she figured she should be too.

Dear Diary,

I’m pregnant.

Like, so far along I look like a swollen watermelon. I’m due in a couple weeks, and I can’t wait. The baby is constantly moving, so I don’t get a lot of sleep, but it’s not like I needed it much to begin with.

Vincent and I have recently moved into our new house; an older cottage just down the way from his mother’s. I know, living right next to your future Mother-in-law seems like a style crimper, but it’s really nice. I have so many questions about the baby that it’s nice to have a more experienced mother on hand. Vincent’s been super protective lately. Don’t get me wrong, it’s adorable as hell, but sometimes I just want to smack him. Just because I waddle, doesn’t mean I can’t clean! I’m trying not to start fights, but honestly, if I sat around all the time like he wanted me to, I would go insane.

I recently went in for a checkup and guess what? It’s a boy! Or at least, they think it’s a boy. That part really doesn’t matter, so long as it’s healthy. My little baby is going to have tentacles like me, and a tail like its father. It’s weird; thinking about that kind of stuff, but the closer my due date is, the more time I have to think about it. They let me have a picture to show everyone, so now I have two families pumped for the arrival of one very special little angel.

Oh, and…I’m fired. The company wasn’t too keen on having a pregnant teenage intern, so they told me to hit the door as soon as I started to show. I was depressed for a while, but I’m getting over it. I mean, I was trying really hard to become a model, and now it’s all…gone. I don’t know what I’m going to do now. Maybe Charlotte can hook me up with a job for a while until I can get things straightened up.

I’d better get going. Vincent’s supposed to be setting up the nursery, and I just heard a crash, so Lord only knows what happened. Wish us luck!

Dear Diary,

I attended my second appointment today, and let me be the first to say that being pregnant SUCKS.

I didn’t believe it was possible at first, but I’ve grown. A LOT. I think I notice it more now because of how skinny I was before, and as Vampy keeps telling me, that little bun in my oven is cramped. Not like that’s my fault. I’m feeling it more these days than ever, and they’ve finally been able to see that.

When I visited the facility, I wasn’t nervous. I was actually really excited to see my baby again. It came as no shocker when the little angel bucked up against the ultrasound…probe? I don’t know what it’s called, but I got a giggle out of that, even if it did hurt. Which I had to tell me was happening a lot lately. I guess that means he’ll be coming sooner than later.

I could see his tentacles this time around, or what I thought was his tentacles. They’re so tiny! I just wanted to snuggle him right then and there, but unfortunately I have to wait. I’m not very good at that. The waiting, I mean. If you know me, you know I’m impatient, which meant it was probably a good thing that Vampy was there again. He’s a lot like me in that, you know. Just getting in and getting it done.

Of course, they did a little extra check up on my downstairs to see how things were going. I’ve already started dilating! It was just a two, though, so nothing yet, but I was told to be careful and to prepare. I can’t wait to tell Vincent.
Speaking of, shouldn’t he be home by now? Oh, back to the appointment.

That was about all that went on, really. The last time I went in, I was pretty far along anyway, so I figured since they didn’t say anything, that nothing is wrong with the baby. He’s just my active little angel.

This pregnancy is taking its toll on me, though. I’m so much slower than I usually am. It feels like it takes me forever to get somewhere because my balance is off, so I have to take my time. It sucks. Sometimes I just want to run up the stairs in the cottage, throw my arms around Vincent’s neck, and throw him down on the floor for a good time, but I can’t because by the time I get there, I’m hungry again. Do you know how weird that is? When you want to get down, and for once in your life, your body just doesn't cooperate so you're metaphorically screwed?

It’s a vicious, vicious cycle.

If I’m not hungry, I’m tired. If I’m not tired, I’m hungry. I hate it. I don’t even go out anymore because I can’t stand to be on my feet for too long. It’s almost pathetic, but I know someday soon, it will all be worth it.

Now if we can just decide on a name, everything will be almost…sorta perfect.
