Reciting the incantation in his head Kenshin stood up, his entire body relaxed. Holding up his hand, Kenshin spoke. "Carriage of thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six. Bakudou 61, Rikujoukourou!" From out of nowhere 5 blades of light would slide in to Medusa, pinning her in place as Kenshin frowned. "I though that there were supposed to be 6?" Looking at his work for a moment Kenshin gave a small sigh as he released the spell. "Well...." Looking up Kenshin smiled. "I don't want things to be too easy. I would never of become a swordsman if it had been a walk in the park." Holding up his hand Kenshin prepared the spell again.

She smiled as she prepared her Riatsu, being that she knew the spell she could cancel it, and when he fired she would. It would be good for him to learn that there is always a counter to every strike.

Pausing as she canceled his spell Kenshin would hold up his hand and smile. "... this one understand now. This is your specialty, Kidou and Bakudou." Stating the incantation again, Kenshin released 6 blades of lite that captured her again, this time however Kenshin's spell would not be released so easily. It was not so strong that the captain could not destroy it, but he would make her actually put a fair bit of effort in to it. "However.... this one thinks that Bakudou is his specialty." Kenshin was actually having a good time, it had been a while since he had been challenged like this, and he was enjoying every minute of it.

Medusa smiled and with a wave of her hand shattered all 6 binding pieces. "That is nothing yet." Without chanting 5 iron pillars would fall from the sky and smash down on top of Kenshin with riatsu blasting at him. "That is Bakudou #75 - Gochuutekkan." She smiled wondering if he had the pyhiscal strength to break it though she doubted it.

Kenshin would not see it coming, and would only just be able to stop himself from falling on his knees. Growling, Kenshin pushed back, trying to override the spell, eventually giving a roar and releasing a large amount of Ki, pressing back, and threatening to break the spell, only to collapse after a few moments when he could not keep it up. "... too.... strong....."

She released the spell once he had given up, "Most captains cant do that well." She helped him up before her hand began to glow a soft green as she healed the bruises.

Panting Kenshin continued to lie there, trying to recover. He had to release everything he had all at once just to make a dent, and he still couldn't remove the spell. ".... this one.... has much growing to do...."

She smiled at him with her warm moms smile. "Ya you do." She laughed a little before picking him up to his feet and walking him back to the stairs to sit while she continued to heal him.

After sitting there for a minute, Kenshin leaned back and spoke while looking up. "... Use that spell on me again. This one wants to break it..." His eyes were not cold, but one would feel an air of determination around him, though this may actually be an impossible task.

Medusa gave him a cross look, and it would be obvious that she was refusing to do it. She only refused because she hadn't even used the name and had caused that much damage, she simply couldn't let him try it again.

Looking at his instructor, Kenshin bowed slightly, knowing what that look meant. "... is this one also correct in assuming that that technique is beyond what this one is capable of casting." It was more of a statement that a question. "If so... this one has learned his lesson about getting arrogant, it will not happen again."

She smiled at him before standing and offering him her hand. "Come its time we award you with the true weapon of a shinigami." Her smile was inviting though she knew something that he might not like, the zanakutou was a killing weapon 90% of the time, and he had a killing soul so the chances of a pure attack Zanpakutou was high.

Nodding Kenshin took the hand and rose to his feet before following her wherever she lead him. ".... Medusa-dono... I will come back once I have become stronger... and defeat that technique." While he had used the term "I", Kenshin's eyes were still kind and relaxed. "This one will make that promise."

She lead him to a room where swords lined the walls, all the zanpakutou were exactly the same and would be until he picked one. "Chose which ever one calls to you." Her voice was velvet and smooth as she issued her instructions.

Moving in to the center of the room Kenshin looked around before walking in to the far corner, picking up one of the blades, holding it for a moment, before replacing it and moving on, skipping a few picking up another, and repeating the process. Kenshin did not rush the process, nor did he just pick a blade. Instead he took his time, listening to the blades as he held them.
The two were there for over an hour, and Kenshin had worked his way around the room a full circle, and was half way around his second trip when he picked up a sword and just stopped, his eyes wide. The sword he held was not any different than the other blades around him that is until Kenshin spoke. "...Go-ruden Toku.... I am honored to meet you. Would you fight by my side?" As if in response, the blade would shine, the hilt and guard turning a golden color, something that made Kenshin smile. "... thank you. However, you must share my arm, for I can not forget my promise." Taking the sword Kenshin slid the weapon in to his belt next to his Sakabatou, the only thing that was missing now, was the black wear of a true shinigame.
