Moving his hand in hers so their fingers were interlaced, Faolan smiled at her. "I love you, too, Elle. Joining the circus isn't all it's cracked up to be, though. There's a lot of drunken clown pranks. If you can get past that, then . . . I think you'll do okay." He tilted her face back up so he could see her eyes. "I'm afraid you're just stuck with me, too, though I'm not sure who's getting the better end of the deal. Probably me." With that he leaned down and, throwing caution to the wind, gave her a long, passionate, toe-curling kiss. He wasn't even sure he'd mind if she passed out on him this time, just wanting to convey emotion where words failed him.

Faolan held her closer when she slumped against him, not willing to let go yet. He moved so both arms were around her, tilting his head more to deepen the kiss, not wanting to do anything else in his life at the moment other than embrace the beautiful woman that had stolen his heart.

Eventually, and very reluctantly, Faolan broke the kiss, panting softly against the girl's lips to catch his breath. He wasn't sure continuing on like that wouldn't have him doing something to upset her. Plus he'd felt his heart skip a few beats with his quickening pulse and wanted to calm down before he blacked out on the poor girl. Pulling back a little, he looked down at Ellandra with lazy, half-lidded eyes, the gold of them almost hidden by how large his pupils were. "Still with me, lass?"

The young man chuckled and shook his head, relaxing back against the pillows to wait for Ellandra to come around again. He rubbed at her back gently. Her inability to stay conscious while making out was going to make the relationship very interesting.

"It's alright. I imagine things will be interesting with us both fainting from time to time," Fao laughed, kissing the top of her head. He sighed a bit, moving to sit up, keeping her cradled against him. "I hate that I have to go, but I'm sure Da's gonna send out some roustabouts to look for me soon if I don't at least call him. He's always been a bit protective of me ever since he adopted me."

"The clowns won't mess with you, love. They know what I'd do to them if they did," Faolan told her, the words coming out a bit more serious than he'd intended, though they were true. He'd never let anyone hurt her, not even the carnies he considered his large and very ******** family. "At any rate, I should call my dad. Let me up a little, eh, so I can reach my jacket."

Faolan nodded a bit at her words, his attention on scooting to the other side of the bed, moving Ziazan out of the way--and thereby waking the Essentic--so he could reach his jacket. He pulled it and his shirt over from the chair and fished out the cell phone, scanning through it quickly for his dad's number.

"I'm putting you on a short leash," were Keagan's first words after picking up on his end. "You should've called hours ago."

"Sorry, Da. I overslept," Fao replied, moving so his back was to Ellandra to give her privacy. "I'll be home soon, though. No worries."

Keagan could tell something was up just from his son's voice. "Alright, hellspawn. What's up? You still feeling sick?"

"Mm, no. I'm fine. Is it alright if I take this night off, too? I'll come home, I just want to rest a bit longer," Fao said, biting his lower lip. "Thought I might take Ellandra to lunch or something to repay her for letting me stay here after the episode."

"Sure, lad. That'd probably be a good thing to do," the old man said. "Oh, hey, we got the wheel on your vardo fixed up finally. I took the liberty of moving your s**t back over from the tent."

Faolan chuckled. "Thanks, Da. I'll see you later." He snapped the phone shut and looked back over his shoulder at Ellandra, giving a slight playful grin. "Care to go out to dinner with me before going to Farstep?"
