Luckily for Cassie, Kevin had leaned forward right before Shizuru woke up to look at her bruise. He had impeccable timing, as he earned a nice hard smack from the blathering doctor.
A nice red mark began to from on Kevin's face. Not surprisingly, Kevin was taken aback and let out a small cry. He knew Shizuru wasn't the most agreeable of characters, but to get smacked as the doctor was being given aid was another matter. From Shizuru's words, he gathered that she had been having some sort of nightmare.

Cassie quickly jerked back when she heard the loud sound of a palm colliding with skin. She pressed her fingers to her lips before she removed the ice from the woman's forehead and walked over, trying not to laugh.
" Here.." She whispered, pressing the solid to his cheek before looking over at the doctor.
"That wasn't nice...Am I to assume you're feeling better?" She asked, her amethyst irises gleaming with amusement.

Shizuru was still halfway in La La Land, so she didn't fully realize what she had done. "What?" She slowly got up, and felt her head. There was some water drops from the ice and a throbbing pain. "What the!" She frowned. "What happened?"

Cassie motioned for Alan to explain while she continue to tend to Kevin's unfortunate 'injury.'
Alan walked over to the woman and tried to hide his smile at her confusion.
"You ran into men carrying cargo off the ship and was rendered unconscious. You got a bump on your forehead, but it should be gone in a few days or so." He explained, his green eyes gleaming. " You also gave he sea captain a good smack...although, I don't know why." He said, chuckling.
Cassie removed the ice from kevin's cheek and smiled. "There."

Kevin thanked Cassie for the ice. Ironic how there were now two "bruises" on two people. The sea guard was sure that his "bruise" would heal much faster. It was only a slap, albeit a hard one.
"Yeah," Kevin chimed in after Alan's explanation. "Doctor, gotta thank you for the treatment."
To the side, he asked Cassie, "Are you related to Alan?" If Alan had a daughter, it would have been interesting.

Cassie stood there silently, her arms crossed over her stomach. She turned her head towards Kevin and chuckled, shaking her head.
" Nah, Alan and I are good friends. Although, it's be cool if I had his red hair." She murmered with a smile. "Why do you ask?" She asked curiously.

Walked into some men? That's a first. Shizuru frowned. Smacked the Sea Captain? It dawned on her when she heard Kevin in the back with Cassie.
"Uh, sorry," she mumbled. "I was having a dream..." She remembered parts of it too. She scoffed. "Thanks," she added sheepishly to the three people.

"Well, just curious," Kevin answered to Cassie's question. The spunky girl had an attitude similar to Alan. It was just a thought he had entertained when he saw the situation with Cassie and Alan at first. At Cassie's response, he had then realized that Alan probably wouldn't have held his daughter over the water...
At that moment, Shizuru tried to justify her actions. "Must have been a vivid dream," Kevin mused as he sighed. Now that the incidents were over, he would have to get going with the patrol. The festival was starting.

Forest gave herself away anyway when Ian fell for the prank by doubling over in laughter. Ian, however, had seemed to ignore her and had gone back in the direction he had come from, away from the barracks.
After calming down, Forest went to rig the trap again.

Cassie walked over to the older woman and smiled.
"As long as your alright, Doctor. I'd usually give limited medical advice, but you know way more about that then I do." She teased before looking up at Alan who seemed lost in though.
Cassie scowled and cuffed the older man on the back of his head.
"Well, I ought to be going old man. Thanks for the lift. I'll visit." She murmered while the older man yelped and rubbed the back of his head, glaring at her. Cassie was never good with saying goodbye..even if it was only for a short time.
Alan looked over at the young woman, glanced at her attire and immediately flew into rage, his cheeks red.
"You are not leaving this ship until you change your clothes. I will not have you going around looking like a common...doxy!" He roared.
Cassie felt her own temper flare. "There is nothing wrong with my clothes. its what we wear back home!" She defended. She glanced down at her black skirt and shirt that wrapped around her torso and was laced together. She had to admit, her clothing was a lot different then the clothing women wore here.
Alan swore under his breath before grabbing his cloak and draping around the girls body, tying the strings tightly.
"And knowing you! you'll get lost." he growled, now looking for excuses to keep this mischievous 'child' with him. Alan couldn't understand his protectiveness -- over the long months since he known her, he viewed the girl as a child he never could have. "I made up my mind. you'll stay here until I find you an escort."
"I'M NOT A TEENAGER!!" Cassie whirled to face Kevin and the doctor. "Is my attire really that bad?" She demanded, before crossing her arms.

Deciding to stay away from the barracks for the day because of Forest, Ian took the scenic route around the city to the docks. most of the stalls and competitions hadn't started yet but the odd few things that had started didn't interest him.
The smells and sounds coming from the sea area would have been over-powering to Ian if it were not for the breather scarf worn around the lower half of his face and natural sponge plugging his ears, blocking most of the sounds out leaving him able to hear sounds clearer without the background murmur that gave him headaches.

Adurna! What was that all about. Ears rnging from the yell Ian quickly scanned the area looking for the person it came from. Finding that it came from a small group next to a fairly sturdy ship he set out through the crowd. Jogging over as calmly as he could without rushing Ian stopped next to Kevin. "What's going on over here then?"

If Shizuru wasn't the person she was, her face probably would turn all red. So, her face didn't turn red at Kevin, Alan, and Cassie's comments. Cassie's outburst made her shake her head.
"How old are you anyway?" the doctor asked. Cassie's attire was interesting, obviously not up the doctor's alley. From the way Cassie was acting, she sounded like a teenager. Was the other guy her dad? Shizuru had never gotten their names.

Alan seemed awfully possessive of the Cassie gal. Even if Cassie had said she wasn't related to Alan, Alan's actions could almost be interpreted that way. If not, Cassie must have been a close apprentice. Kevin muffled a chuckle at Alan and Cassie's bout until Cassie demanded of him and Shizuru their opinions.
Honestly, people in Chronopolis didn't necessarily wear only one type of clothes that was uniform throughout the city. Cassie's attire was notably more revealing, but there were other Chronopolitans that did wear similar styles. It was a fashion style. That was all. However, those sorts of styles did lend the girls to danger in certain situations. It was no wonder Alan didn't want Cassie to wear those clothes. From what Kevin gathered, Cassie had never been to Chronopolis then. If she had, Alan wouldn't be harrassing her. "At least wear a cloak over it," the Sea Captain remarked. "Lest you think you're immune to chilly breezes."
Shortly before his response, the archer in Kira's division, Ian had arrived. "Yo, Ian. The ship captain thinks his girl's wearing less clothes than she should and will get lost..."
