Bramblebur was greatly amused by the maned kitten's rush of questions, prompting him to chuckle softly. As to not appear rude to Cocklebur or Bracken-rah, he quickly answered Pepper's questions to the best of his ability. "A warren, I imagine, like yours. Yes, we're from very far away. Our warrenmates were getting sick and dying. And I certainly hope so. Now, do as your chief instructs. Perhaps we can continue some other time when we are deemed more suitable to be around." He wouldn't want to put such a young kit at risk for whatever may have followed them. The buck would feel absoultely wretched if something were to happen to a youngster due to something that he or one of his number carried with them.
Briefly glancing behind him, he saw that Ninebark had moved to stand behind him. The striped Captain offered a bit of a smile to the large lop, appreciative of his support, before returning his attention to the chief and Captain. "No need to apologize, Bracken-rah. I know that our current scent is enough to put just about anyone on edge. I'm just sorry that we're causing such a commotion." His gaze shifted up to the hill after their chief's at the sound of Sparrow's carrying on.
"Thank you, sir." Bramblebur said with a dip of his head. "I understand completely. Better to err on the side of caution. We'll stay close to those scrapes until you are satisfied beyond a doubt that whatever struck our previous warren won't get to yours. Your kindness is most welcoming and in time we will do what we can to repay you for it."
The striped Captain half turned to his group. "Everyone," He began announcing, "Bracken-rah has allowed us the use of some scrapes on the other side of their down. Please be respectful of our hosts wishes. We must stay to that side of the down for the time being. Be sure to thank them when you get a chance to." His tone lowered from announcing to his whole group to simply addressing his surviving Owsla officers. "You two, be sure everyone is ready to go around to our accommodations, for everyone's safety's sake."
Bramblebur returned his attention to the pair of high ranking bucks before him. "We're grateful for this. Thank you."

Mud bared walked after his chief standing behind cocklebur. He turned to speak to Cocklebur in a whisper.
"What does he think he is doing welcoming them? they could disease us all"
he said angrily as he stood by cocklebur and kept his eye on swift-claw. He knew he was dangerously close and the stench was killing him but he pushed it away this would be good to prove himself worthy of being an owsla.
"How bad is your desease?"
He asked the strangers wandering. Though he knew it was bad if it drove them this far. He noticed the pretty doe...dewberry or whatever, she was indeed nice but he could not bare living with her.

Duskshadow froze in panic as her little friend pepper encountered the deseased group. "NO! pepper come here" she said as she bounded over to him. She cradled him close to her and kinda side stepped him a bit farther from the female, she wa ssick did she want to risk him too? "Pepper you can get very ill m'dear listen to the Chief" she said as she licked his head, she felt the need to protect him. [OOC: right sorry sweatdrop ]

Pepper frowned as DuskShadow came in between him and the other rabbits. His eye filled with confusion, he didn't understand why everyone treated them weird. Sure their other home had sick rabbits but they needed help! Turning his gaze to Cocklebur and Bracken-rah, Pepper decided he wanted answers. "Why do I have to stay away from them? They're just like us?" He switched his gaze first to DuskShadow and then Bramblebur, offering him a small grin.

Duskshadow hated to say it to such a young kitten but he needed to know the truth. "Your right they are liek us and need help but we cannot heal them especially when it risks our warren" she said as she soothed him with her paw as she patted him.She cradled him close to her and spoke in a voice like silk. "Pepper if they get to close hun they can make you very sick and possibly they can kill us with the desease like in the princes stories of sickness" she said as she tried to explain it to him, it was hard for she cared for the unique cute kitten.

Bracken knew quite well that not everyone would likely agree with him on his course of action with these rabbits. Cocklebur especially and those who happened to think like he did. But it didn't matter, at least not for now. Hopefully those band of rag-tag hlessil would prove to be disease free and maybe even make good members of their warren one of these days.
As Bramblebur then turned to thank him the red chief nodded. "You are most welcome. So long as rules are followed." A smile was then given to the striped rabbit and to those that followed him. "I can only hope that Frith smiles upon you and your group." Naturally he hadn't even noticed the stark black doe amongst them. Or if he had, he didn't seem to indicate it. "I'll leave your group to settle in. One of my rabbits will come to check on you from time to time." With that, Bracken began to move away and back towards the the grouping of rabbits at the top of the hill with Cocklebur following.

Waiting anxiously at the top, when Bracken turned and began to amble back up the hill, Rose sat up on her haunches and began nervously playing with her ear. What was to become of the scared bucks and does? Were they going to have to leave or were they allowed to stay, and if they did stay, did they bring death with them? Petting her ear to shining, all these questions came blurting out as her Chief made it back to them.
"Please, we need to know." She pleaded.

Bramblebur nodded at the chief's words. "Of course, sir." A warm, grateful smile mirrored the older buck's. He waited for Bracken to move a little ways off before turning wholly to his group, so he wouldn't feel rude turning his back to a superior should he turn around to say something else. The buck hopped back to where most of the group had been, a soft, relieved laugh escaping his chest.
"Well now, everyone, I think all of you have done more than enough to deserve some rest in some actual burrows. Let's get settled in and have some time off of those weary paws." Bramblebur felt very optimistic with the way things turned out. Bracken-rah seemed like a very kind and understanding rabbit, which also Bram took a great liking to.
He lead the way around the down, making sure no one strayed too close to the residents. He paused every so often to see that there were no curious young kits who had slipped away from their parents or no bold outskirters who might venture over to try and get a closer look at the rabbits who started the commotion at the top of the hill. It didn't take long for the band to have gone around to the other side of the down where the entrances of the old scrapes could be seen. Bramblebur hopped over to one of the entryways and stuck his head inside. Dry, warm, and welcoming. He backed out and sat next to it. "Come make yourselves at home."

Pepper himself was completely confused. Duskshadow said that they were sick but to him it seemed like they were fine. Cocking his head slightly to the left he began to ponder this situation. However as both parties began to move away from each other and himself, Pepper rose to sit on his hunches. Watching as the strange group headed away from the rest of them.

BURROWS. Actual burrows. A place to sleep and not worry about homba or any other elil stalking them as they fled. Vreka practically quivered with joy as she slunk along with her fellows.
Home. She didn't dare hope for that much, a place would do for now. She made her way into one of the scrapes, glad to be out of sight of the strange warren rabbits, before they could blame misfortune on her too.

Yawning and shaking his head at the commotion, Nuthatch stretched slowly even as Sparrow ran about in a near zorn state. Really, what was all this bother about. Running his paws over his ears, he took his time straightening himself out before making his way through the burrows to topside. The warren certainly seemed in an uproar. There was also a sour note in the smell of the air, the kind that made his eyes go wide and nostrils flare.
“What have I missed? Am I to believe that little crazy bird is telling the truth?”
Perhaps not the kindest nickname for Sparrow, but shock had dulled any subtly he possessed.

Weary, the miserable weather kept her even quieter than usual. The wet slowly seeping into her fur had kept her spirits down as their little band ventured closer to what they hoped would be a welcoming warren. She hadn't even the heart to stop Dewberry from her folly when she ran out. She was grateful once again that Bramblebur made such an excellent leader. In another time and place he could've very well been a chief rabbit, she was sure. As it was, she stayed huddled with the others, pleading with Frith for just a little bit of mercy and hope. She nuzzled some of the others, trying to comfort as they waited the verdict. And when it arrived she felt a flush of life in her that hadn't been there in ages it seemed. Bramble's laugh warmed her, and she genuinely smiled with relief.
“You hear that everyone? Burrows! We've made it!”
Nudging anyone close by, she urged them eagerly to their paws as Bramblebur led the way to the scrapes. All the way around to the other side of the Down, she didn't even feel the ache anymore. Soon she would be sleeping in the safe, warm earth. Soon she would wake up and this would all be a bad dream, something to put behind her.

The red lop could of easily hopped and skipped with joy, if such jolly behavior was in his nature, but that was not the case. The large rabbit moved towards the scrapes with a sort of hidden joy and he was brimming with what could have been relief. Even if they weren't out of the woods yet, so to speak, resting below the ground would of been absolutely lovely.
He had hardly slept since they had left their diseased warren, though he was happy to get as far away from that place as possible, if only because he could not feel comfortable or safe enough. He managed to snag enough shut eye to keep him going, but never a fitful rest.
He slid into the scrapes, nearby to Vreka. He had come into full sight of the chief and his captain, and none seemed to take unkindly to him in particular, just the group as a whole. That brought some comfort, though he didn't dwell on it for long. Anything like that was sure to change sooner or later. Probably sooner, if they got to know him personally before they were welcome completely.

Making their way up to the top of the down, Bracken and Cocklebur were now faced with the inquisitive stares of the other members of the warren. The chief gave a shake of his ears before sitting up. "They are fleeing a plague that killed the rest of their warren. That explains their smell. But there is no need to be alarmed. I've sent them to the other side of the down. If they prove to be disease free then I will allow them to stay here, but until then... nobody is to get too close. As long as we keep our distance we should be safe."
Cocklebur who was also sitting up with his forepaws crossed against his chest, was staring irritably in another direction. The Captain snorted, "We should have run them off and let the elil be rid of the disease. Who's to say they won't spread it?" Cocklebur's words were mumbled not inaudibly.

Despite all the commotion outside Thyme had been sleeping peacefully underground. It was only as Sparrow had started running around the whole warren shouting about death that Thyme even stirred. Opening one eye slowly, he yawned, not wanting to get too worked up over something that might just turn out to be another of Sparrow’s crazy rants. “Death on the wind?” he muttered to himself, “That does sound peculiar…” he sat up and ran his paws down one of his black ears, “Better see what all the fuss is about” he stretched his back legs out behind him, wiggling his toes and yawning once more, “Or at least try to calm the little fellow down before Cocklebur gets a hold of him”. Thyme always tended to say his thoughts out loud, and he often wondered why he hadn’t been labelled as mad for seemingly talking to himself all the time.
Making his way slowly to the entrance of the warren, he shuddered, as the grass outside felt wet on his paws. Gosh how he hated water, but he had to get to the bottom of all that shouting, “Here, what’s going on?” he was wide awake now as he joined the rest of the group, the cold, damp grass on his paws waking him up immediately.

Mud looked at the so called diseased rabbits, they seemed happy to be safe. Mud snorted, he thought it silly they stay here.
"Oh bracken-rah..."
he mumbled as he hopped away unaware that he was walking towards the diseased bunnies.
"why? oh Frith sakes"
He said when he suddenly ran into a white bunny with brown blotches and green eyes. He froze suddenly smelling her, he looked up at her and froze (this is to Ivy)
_____________________Duskshadow--
Duskshadow sighed happy they may recover and sad that they can still risk spreading the disease. She looked at Pepper. "Do not fret m'dear they will be safe away from us, you will understand when your older" she said to him smiling comfortingly. She licked his head and hopped to a nice patch of green grass she noticed, nibbling on it. She looked up and saw cocklebur bounding after Bracken-rah. She went over to the two. "So they will be far enough from us right sir?" she asked the two hoping to make conversation.
