"No it was me, I made it all awkward and now you don't even want to talk to me" the female said ashamed and sad that her childhood friend might be mad at her. She got up and ran away towards her den disappearing into her warm den.

Caleb sat where he was, watching Genesis run off. What had just happened? Frowning, he gave his head a vicious shake and got up to run after her. "Gen! Wait!" Following her trail, he ended up in front of a cave he'd never seen, but her scent was strong here. Had she moved here? "Gen?" He squinted into the enterance, slowly padding in. "Gen. Please don't hide. What'd I do?"

Genesis had heard Caleb run after her and now approach on her den. Hearing his voice she called back from deep in the cave "You did nothing it was my fault I am so sorry" curling up into a tight ball of moss. She wondered if he would come after her maybe he does care about me she thought.

Caleb paused, flicking his tail. "I- I'm coming in." He warned in case she didn't want him in there, trotting carefully into the cave. "Hey, I'm not mad or anything at you. Sure, I was... suprised. But I certainly wasn't mad. Not at all." He waited for his eyes to adjust to the cave gloom, squinting as he searched for his friend.

Genesis was still sad but he was trying to defuse the situation so she felt she had to to help lighten it as well. The cave seemed bigger then it was but it wasn't that big, She was in a small tunnel and she saw him walk past and she crouched low so he couldn't see her. Quickly sneaking back to the entrance of the sub tunnel she crept behind him tapping him on the shoulder.

Caleb twitched his ears, the silence bothering him. "Genesis?" His eyes finally adjusting, he realized he had come to a dead end. Great. Was this a maze? He was about to turn when his shoulder was tapped, nearly sending him to the ceiling of the cave with a yell. "What in jumpin' junipers?!"
Chest heaving, he stared wide eyed at Genesis for a few seconds before dropping onto his side. "I don't think I can take much more of this." He said with a breathless laugh. "You're gonna give me gray hairs early if you keep worrying me like that."

"Well I guess you will be an old man before you know it because I won't leave" she said jokingly poking a paw at him. "So do you like my new den?" she asked him realizing that she had just recently moved and not told him she was moving. "Sorry for not telling you but it was sudden so I came today to tell you."

What'd she say? When she said she wouldn't leave, a small flutter had pattered across his heart. Had she meant-?
Shaking his head out of his reverement, Caleb gave the den a cursory scan. "It'll be nice when you fix it up a little. Get it a bit more... homey." He said with a nod. He thought it could use a little organizing. But it was cozy and warm. Better than many dens he'd searched through before.

"Yes I like the location and it is a pretty decent size cave" she said peering over her new den. "It probably could use a homey touch" she said pursing her lips together. "I wonder why no one found this before" she said happy with herself for her success.

Caleb nodded. "It's a very good size. Especially if you find a mate someday." Then he added with a mischievious glint in his eyes, watching Genesis carefully. "The poor b*****d. You better make sure he knows what's coming to him."

Genesis rolled her eyes at her friends joke "anybody would be lucky to have me" she said winking and fluffing her soft tail out and posing in a funny way. She giggled and said "I'm just a little playful is all" before she headed otside to the now setting sun.

Caleb's blue eyes followed Genesis in suprise. "Wow." He said, getting up after her. "Age must be calming you down. I expected a swat from you at least."

"Or maybe I feel like granting mercy" she said looking back at him. "I thought you where the one aging so fast" she laughed and sat down at the mouth of the cave to watch the calming sunset. She enjoyed that things where back to normal and sighed, she was very content and didn't want the day to end.

Caleb laughed and shook his head. "Turning over a new leaf, eh?" He trotted up and sat next her her, tail twitching contently. "I only age fast when you worry me." He said, poking her shoulder playfully with his paw.

"Who ever said that" she said attempting to glare at him like she was aggravated but failed miserably laughing as she did. She paid her attention back to the sunset "Beautiful as always" she said she really enjoyed sunsets they where so romantic? she thought that was the right word.
