"The pot can go..." Aditya looked around and pointed at the pile of wood. "By the firewood. It'll be easier to move it when the fire starts." she picked up her bag and taking out a carrot. "Do you mind if I use your knife to cut the vegetables?" she bounced on her heels, eager to show Riker her cooking skills.

Riker nodded, "Sure! Just be careful, it's rather sharp." He grinned teasingly before moving the pot to the woodpile. Sunlight peered from between the clouds floating above and the wolftaur was glad for the warmth the rays gave him.
Shaking his head, Riker made himself refocus. Picking up a couple of pieces of wood the wolftaur held one out towards Adi, "Should I add wood to really get the fire going?"

Aditya giggled picking up the knife, "Alright. I won't hurt myself." she kneeled down, holding the carrot in her left hand and the knife in the other, slowly cutting the skin off.
She looked up from her cutting and nodded, "Just don't make sure you don't burn down the forest!"

Riker shook his head, "Never!" He grinned though as he set about to throwing wood into the fire. Soon after several urges by poking twigs in between the bigger pieces of wood, Riker had quite the fire going.
"A regular bonfire." He stated with a laugh. His eyes grew a bit sad as he thought of the last bonfire he had shared with his pack. The whole lot of them around a fire at that time of night had been something alright...but in the end it had been fun. Even though the twins decided to start things with a nice touch of herbs in the fire causing quite the explosion. Riker chuckled at the memory and looked over to Adi. One day he hoped to safely introduce her to the others.

Aditya looked at Riker, "How big do you want the slices to be? Big?" she held up the roots, a questioning look in her eyes. She tilted her head when he didn't respond. Heaving herself up, she waved the vegetables around his head, "Riker?"

"Huh?" Riker nearly jumped before shaking his head at Adi, "What did yo-" He grinned sheepishly suddenly remembering the question, "It doesn't matter. Decent pieces though." His eyes shifted from her gaze and he looked to the side, embarrassment at zoning out clear in his gaze.

"Alright." She set the roots down on a large boulder. Aditya tilted her head looking at the fire. "Um...how're we going to put the pot on the fire? Wouldn't that burn the pot?" She propped up two large branches next to the fire, far away enough to not burn the branches. "If we propped it up like this and put something to support the pot would it work?" she fidgeted around with another branch.

Riker looked about the fire and paced around the flames before coming back to stand by Adi. "It should work if we're careful enough." He finally replied with a short nod. He reached over and picked up a sturdy branch and propped it up as well, "Let's do this." Riker grinned at Adi before trying to work around the fire. Though he did pull back several times with a silent curse when his hands got too 'warm' from being so close.

Aditya grabbed his hand back, "Are you alright Riker?" she examined his hands, "You didn't get burned did you?" her ears drooped down, worried. "I'll do this Riker! You just sit back and relax! Cooking is a woman's job after all right?" Aditya fussed around cutting the vegetables and dumping them into the pot, slightly flustered.

"I'm fine, really." Replied Riker sheepishly before blinking at Adi's suggestion. "You sure...I mean I don't want you to do all the work-" Finally the wolftaur just shook his head. "Alright, I'll sit back and try to relax. But call me if you need me!" He grinned and pulled back to sit under a nearby tree in the shade.

The yellow wolftaur smiled, "Alright!" she slowly stirred the contents, mixing it together. "Um...are there any clean deer bones? It adds to the flavor of the stew." Aditya poked at the remains.

Riker leaned against the tree and lazily looked out at the sky. Everything was beautiful and warm, even the clouds fitted in with their white fluffy shapes. The wolftaur nearly found himself dozing off until Adi called out. "Hmm?"
But Riker was already up and moving towards the deer. Soon after some movement and careful searching, Riker held up a clean white piece of bone from one of the legs. "Here, Adi!" He called before walking over and delivering it to her.

"Thanks!" she carefully dropped it into the now-boiling water. "We'll just have to wait a while, and then add more vegetables and meat." Aditya clapped her hands excitedly, sitting down on the ground. "Where's your pack by the way?" she asked, fiddling with a stick.

"Great!" Riker nearly jumped with excitement before his face nearly slipped. "My...my pack?" He blushed faintly, it was odd to remember his position as alpha while he was having so much fun.
"They're further into the forest more towards the north." He stated with ease though his mind was racing at the reason for his pack's travel. 'Hunting Trip.' Everything seemed to be happening so fast. Riker sighed softly knowing he'd be gone for quite a while on this one.

Aditya stirred the contents of the pot, "I see..." She was starting to feel quite...envious of Riker. He must have a lot of fun being around with a pack. She gathered her hands into her lap, feeling them tremble a little.
