Texas was mildly amused at the comment of a 'date.' "A date? Between you and me, I'm pretty sure we're some of the only less-than-straight Pae'il around. But in all seriousness," he chuckled, "I don't like to make huge commitments in my schedule. I like the freedom of being able to plan as things happen, ya' know? I like going with the flow."
It was then that he noticed what Yukio was holding out for him. The demonic blushed in delight. Even if it was a snow sculpture, it was certainly well done. Texas took it in his own hands and looked at it carefully. "Wow, you've got a good eye. And you implied that you were just okay at this?"

He laughed, amused at the response. "Forever single like Haru huh?" Yukio shook his head, smile on his face. A lot of the less than straight pae seemed to be like that he'd noticed. Maybe it was because there was so few of them? He wasn't sure.
"I'm sure there are lots of pae out there that are better at it than I am." He mused, brushing off his hands once Texas had taken the tiny sculpture. "Is there anyone else you'd like made?" The snow pae offered, he might still be in the process of learning how to make larger things, but he was still pretty good at small things like the tiny sand sculpture.

"Forever single? Well, I wouldn't say that," but the demonic couldn't help wondering about that. While Texas would eventually like to find someone to hold dear, he had to wonder if that person even existed. With such a small population, there was a possibility that maybe Texas was just meant to be a father-figure to everyone. The Guardians even seemed to want that to some extent, with the power they had generously bestowed upon him.
The demonic shook the thought out of his head and brought himselfd back to the conversation at hand. "Please, don't be so modest." Texas nudged the snowy angel before setting the little sculpture carefully beside him so not to ruin it. "Hm... I can't really think of anyone else." Perhaps he used to have someone else he would have suggested, but at this point, Texas had moved on.

"So you do want a man... Eventually." Yukio smiled, he hadn't thought of Texas as a father figure. He had thought of the other as a potential mate, it was almost painful to realize he wasn't thought of in the same manner. "I'm sure you'll make a good mate to whomever you settle down with. Probably an even better father." He smiled a cheesy smile.
Laughing some, Yukio watched as Texas set the sculpture down. "If you do think of someone you should tell me." The angel smirked now, thinking of something that he could possibly make for the other that he might enjoy.

Texas scoffed when Yukio remarked that he might possibly make a better father. Instead of commenting on finding someone Yukio could make another sculpture of, he chose to comment on that. "Probably," replied Texas, with a chuckle. "Mm, I'm pretty sure I acted that way with my old crush. No wonder he never seemed to think of me as nothing more than a good friend. But, ah, nevertheless, better to love and lost I'd say."
The demonic paused, before laughing at himself. "Why am I telling you this?" Really, Texas didn't care to talk much about his own relationships. That may have been part of the reason why he was seeing Yukio in the light that he was seeing him in, but he also really didn't see Yukio as someone he would be all that compatible with, either. Of course, he was continuously mentally trying to find reasons why they wouldn't be... "It really doesn't matter; what's done is done. You'll probably have much more luck in matters of the heart." It seemed he was diverting the topic to Yukio.

"It's possible." He laughed lightly. "But was he older than you.. Or Haru?" Yukio smiled, rubbing Tex's back. "Tis better to love and lost than to have never loved at all, true, but it's also better to love and keep than to love and loose." If only that was possible for everyone.
Yukio smirked, laughing as well. "Maybe deep down you do like me?" The thought at this point was enough to make him laugh. "I doubt I'll have much more luck than you Texas. In the small pool of homosexual pae, none seem to want to settle down with either of us at the moment." He shrugged, not minding that it had been turned back on him for the moment. He would probably change it back in just a moment anyways.

"If he was older, I matured far before he did." Texas was referring to physical maturity, in most of the cases he was referring to. The demonic knit his brows, before deciding to lay the subject to rest and attempt to keep the subject on Yukio. The demonic wasn't all that comfortable talking about his love life and how unfortunate it was quite yet.
He noticed Yukio talked a lot about Haru. Well, at least Magnus hadn't gone near Haru in a while. Maybe that gave Yukio a chance to find something Texas couldn't find. Of course, they were also talking about Haru. "Nonsense." Texas laughed. "You'll definitely find something. Maybe we just haven't figured out where the rest of us are, you know? I'm sure they're hiding someone, and there's someone who's absolutely perfect for you." The demonic doubted that for himself, but he was not going to pull his hair out about it. Just because he was hopeless didn't mean everyone else had to be.

"I'm sure you were mature personality wise as well Texas." He hadn't realized he was talking about Haru a lot, as it wasn't something he meant to do.
He offered Texas a soft and sweet smile. "If there's someone out there who's perfect for me, there's one for you as well." Yukio nodded. He doubted there was hope for himself, two failures in a row now. Or perhaps he could still persuade Texas at one point to try dating him.. The thought was laughable.

Texas didn't necessarily agree, but he didn't feel like arguing with Yukio. He smiled and thanked him for the good wishes, before offering, "Perhaps, but I think it's more likely for you. Perhaps I'm just an optimist for other people." He winked, before turning back to the snow and sand sculpture the snowy Pae'il had made him earlier. The snowman angel was indeed rather talented.
The demonic then turned back towards Yukio. "I hope you're enjoying yourself, even though this was all rather sudden for me," offered the demonic, with a chuckle. He didn't feel so inclined to scold Criofan and Magnus anymore, as they had allowed him to meet someone who would hopefully be a good friend.

He shook his head, there wasn't a point in arguing that. "You should be an optimist for yourself as well." Yukio smiled dropping that particular subject.
He pondered for a moment if Texas really liked the snow sculptures, only to smile. "I am. I'm sorry you got dragged down here on my account." The snow pae chuckled in return.

He had really liked the snow sculpture. Texas almost wished he had someone else he could ask for a sculpture of, but perhaps that would ruin the uniqueness and niceness of this one that Yukio had previously worked on for him. "At least you're still enjoying yourself." The demonic paused briefly.
"And by the way, it's fine. You're a good guy, I didn't mind staying here and talking to you." Texas smiled brightly, patting the snowman Pae'il on the back in a friendly matter.

He usually made each sculpture a little different, though he probably wouldn't have made something with nearly as much detail for Texas if he didn't know the one he was supposed to sculpt.
"You're going to make me feel bad for keeping you out here Texas.." He smiled softly, "Perhaps we can make good use of this meeting later and be friends?"

"Alright." That sounded like a good deal. Yukio sounded like he would be a good one to be friends with. He offered his hand to the snowy angel Pae'il as an offering of his friendship. "We should meet up again sometime, perhaps in a cooler area. My house is usually pretty cool and it isn't too far from here, too." Texas liked having more friends, and Yukio would be no exception, even if he wouldn't make a great boyfriend or whatever Criofan O'Kane or Magnus Vis--both of the male fae nutcases--had in mind.

"Of course." He smiled, taking the offered hand. Yukio wouldn't turn down an offer of friendship, let alone one with Texas.
Still smiling some, Yukio returned his gaze to the sky, looking at where the sun was located. "It's starting to get late." The snowman pae chuckled some, enjoying this time of the day the most. It was always cooler, even if it wasn't the coldest time of year. "What time do you need to return?"

Texas gave Yukio's hand a firm shake before dropping his hand with a smile on his face. The demonic would have to agree; he also liked this time of day. The evening times tended to be the most beautiful. No matter how many times he saw the sunset, he still loved to come outside and watch it sink beyond the horizon. "Not any time in particular. Do you need to go somewhere?"
The demonic wouldn't particularly mind. It had been a couple of hours at least, and no doubt Yukio would like to get back to his home before it got too dark out, what with that creepy Seraphim Scott brother he had. Even if Yukio had to leave, though, Texas definitely wanted to see him again.
